G’day! I’m a born-and-bred Mackay local—raised just a few streets over in South Mackay, so I know every shortcut, the best pie shop (it’s Byrnes pies), and where to grab a cold one after knock-off.
I’m a tradie by day (chippy, 15 years on the tools), which is exactly why I bought and restored this old Queenslander. I love breathing new life into classic homes, and nothing beats seeing a crew of blokes (or a big family) roll in after a long week, kick their boots off on the deck, and actually relax instead of squeezing into some shoebox apartment.
Hosting lets me share the laid-back Mackay vibe I grew up with—big verandas, cold drinks, and space to move. Whether it’s helping your crew find the closest Bunnings at 6 AM or leaving a stubby in the fridge for the first bloke through the door, I’m here to make your stay feel like you’re crashing at a mate’s place… just with better Wi-Fi and an ice maker.
