With spectacular sea views to the Poor Knights, Matapouri Bay and Northland Coast to Cape Brett the Aroha Luxury Suite is the perfect place to stay during your travels. A Perfect romantic getaway where you can enjoy the serenity of the place or relax and watch a movie in front of the gas fire. A luxurious base to explore the stunning Tutukaka Coast, Aroha Suite has everything you need for an unforgettable stay..

The kitchen has a small Breville Genius oven, Westinghouse Twin induction Hob, Toaster , Fridge and Nespresso Coffee maker. There is a large weber BBQ in the outside covered portico. The portico has an outdoor brazier to toast marshmallows and to snuggle around in the evening. Motorised blinds will make it private and warm at a touch of a button.

Your hosts Jules and Richard live in the adjacent side of the house. Please note we draw the blinds and respect your privacy
Bathrobes are provided.
In the evenings you can hear the Kiwis calling to each other. Aroha faces north so you can enjoy the beautiful sunrises and sunsets and the ever-changing moods of this special place.

A Nespresso coffee machine is provided complimentary.

Beautiful accommodations with the most tremendous views. It’s just a short drive to all the beaches. The host is super warm and friendly!! There was even milk, lots of cooking spices, and extra bathroom items ! Hope to return one day!

Lovely location near several great beaches, would particularly recommend whale bay. Hot tub was lovely after a day in teh water.

Aroha suite

Staying at Aroha suite was an amazing experience. Julianne and Richard made our weekend really special. We had the best time enjoying home made meals and dining with the stunning view over the ocean, chilling in hot tub under the stars and exploring beautiful surrounding area.

Idyllic Retreat

We enjoyed our stay immensely. The views are unbeatable, the property is quiet, peaceful and beautfully appointed. The small township of Tutukaka is minutes down the hill with some great restaurants, though dinner at home on top of the hill was wonderful also. Julianne and Richard are friendly, helpful and welcoming. Thoroughly recommend.

Richard and Jules could not have done more to make our stay phenomenal. Both of us needed an absolute break and we got it in spades. We will be back.One of those few places you really don't want to tell the truth about because you want to keep it to yourselves .

A small piece of paradise

We were looking for a special location for our friends and family get together (UK & NZ) after being unable to travel to meet during lockdown. Aroha lodge could not have been more perfect for our group of 2 adults and a 19 and 17yr old. It rained and rained - but the beautiful setting and the thoughtfulness of our hosts meant a great time by all enjoying open fires, hot tubs, garden games and of course Angie the dog !! It really is a gorgeous home in a stunning place - thank you !

A spectacular place. Walking in it was “Wow, just wow “. The views to Matapouri Bay and Poor Knights were mesmerizing, the bird life (think intoxicated Kereru) entertaining and the accomodations 5 star hotel level. The Aroha suite was huge and had floor to ceiling glass doors that opened to the amazing outdoors. Julianne was a delightful and gracious host. We could not have asked for a better stay and wished we could have atayed longer

Magnificent views

If beautiful views and serenity are your vibe, you'll love this property! Located atop a hill overlooking the spectacular coastline, this spacious apartment makes the most of the expansive vistas. Spacious and comfortable, it has been thoughtfully equipped with everything you might need. This meant we were able to eat in a couple of nights, although the drive in to the restaurants of Tutukaka is under 10 minutes (albeit a tad windy at night for those unfamiliar with the area). A beautiful and restful place to stay with friendly and accommodating hosts.

Ideal Spot for a Peaceful Getaway

We absolutely loved our stay at Julianne and Richard's property. A beautiful, peaceful location and a short drive to the many stunning beaches that the Northland coast has to offer. The house itself had everything we needed and was immaculately clean. We couldn't have asked for more. The hosts were extremely accommodating and were available for any questions we had. We would definitely recommend to anyone and stay again in the future.
