This is a tidy family bach which has everything you need to enjoy what Mokau has to offer. Enjoy the sea views from the lounge or deck in summer or cosy up next to the fire on a wild west coast day. There's also views of Mt Taranaki on clear day. The house features three bedrooms, the "kids room" sleeps 3 and the "master" sleeps two, with sleepout close house sleeping max 4. Linen now included in the price.

Medium/long term rental currently available rates on request/by negotiation.

Classic Kiwi Bach in Mokau

As s solo traveller I had an enjoyable 3 nights at the Bach in Mokau. The accommodation is large enough for a family holiday. It is very comfortable and well appointed. It is close to the main beaches at Mokau and is also within an easy drive of Elephant Rock and The Three Sisters at Tongaporutu. This is the ideal location for anyone wishing to have a relaxing break in this area of the west coast of North Island.

Relaxing

Nice house kids loved it the view is so nice. They have board games and toys for the kids. Was quiet and relaxing just a short walk to the beach we really enjoyed ourselfs good place to go and nice place to stay.

Great outlook and base for simple beach holiday.

Lovely outlook with trees and distant sea. Great little walk down to beach and river. Amazing driftwood. House lacking a few basics like scissors, matches and salt and pepper. Fabulous toys and books. We found it was much better to move the dining table out of the kitchen and next to fireplace. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Weve stayed here 2 yrs running .Felt very relaxed in this very kiwiana bach A great view and in walking distance to the awesome flower pot for a swim . It would have been nice to check in earlier 3pm is a bit late . We were lucky to have incredible weather this year thankyou

Quiet, peaceful getaway

I stayed 2 nights with my nephews while we traveled around the island. The place was well equipped with everything we needed. It was a nice break from technology. The sunsets are amazing! The best we saw the entire trip. Short walk to a beautiful black sand beach. Check in was easy. Places to eat within walking distance.

Lovely bach tucked away from the main road

There was 7 of us that stayed for 3 nights. Five adults and 2 young kids. We found the place pretty good. Driveway was a mission, but my young grandson loved running up and down it though. Toaster only worked if you held the button down on it, not a major. Great location with walking distance to the beach which we found a track to. Was an easy walk to the few cafes that were on the main road.

Really cosy,comfortable and peaceful

We have had a really great few days.The views of the sea and the river mouth are wonderful from the blue bach.I really enjoyed hearing the sea.We felt very comfortable in the bach because it had everything you could need for a relaxed experience.The fireplace warms the whole house with very little wood and adds a homely feel for relaxing in the evening.There is plenty to do around the area and we had a look through the museum which has wonderful photos of early Mokau.Definitely be back (it was our second visit)

Good getaway

The Bach had everything we needed .Very clean and location was awesome . We had our grandsons visit .it was nice there were games and toys .The only issue was the television has an Ariel issue only one night tho .It would have been good the rubbish collection was Tuesday . Overall we had an awesome break and would love to come again one day 🙂

Could have been cleaner

Comfortable batch advertised as 3 bedroom however the third bedroom is an out house a distace away from entry to batch. Just saying. Lawns could have been mowen and grounds tidy. Not putting anyone off just point out. Parking not great.

Nice but overpriced

We like this bach. Used to stay in past. Feel slightly overpriced for this property by probably 20 per night or so now.Was tidy but some spillage not cleaned up from previous guests in lounge and hair in bathroom let down overall cleanliness.
