Cute As Can Be, By The Sea

Iconic kiwi bach at the beach. Well kitted out. Perfect getaway summer or winter. Two double/queen beds in the partitioned loft, one double pull out sofabed in the lounge. Spacious open plan living downstairs, opening onto flat lawn with outdoor table and chairs and beach hut bar. Conveniently located across the road from the beach and boat ramp. There are two kayaks available for your use. Plenty of walks, islands and boating galore.
This unique, north facing, uncrowded piece of Coromandel paradise is home to the award winning Opito Bay Salt Company. It's also just 15 minutes from the famous Luke's Kitchen and 30 minutes from the world class Lost Springs Pools and Spa in Whitianga.
Please bring your own sheets and towels. For overseas travelers we can provide linen at a cost by prior arrangement, all other linen and bedding requirements are provided.
If you are bringing your furbaby please check the TCDC website for seasonal dog rules on the beach.

We had a fantastic stay at Opito in this old charming Bach. Liz was a great host and very welcoming of our dog Darcy for our family holiday. With the location a short stroll to the sand, we had a great time.

Hosts were lovely and we were happy to learn there were kayaks available to use, which we made the most of. Beach was amazing and only a one minute walk. The property does not have beach views. Kitchen was fully equipped. The weather was amazing during our stay, which meant the property was a bit warm. Also needed repellent for mosquitoes at night. Relaxing beautiful holiday - thanks for having us!

Lovely hosts, great location for a quiet get away with walks and secluded bays within walking distance. Black Jack Rd less gravel than was suggested so was easy to get to.

Beauty and peace

What can be better than staying right across the road from beautiful Opito Bay? The bach is typical kiwiana style with all you need, I cooked on the bbq though there is a full kitchen. Comfy beds, fall asleep and wake to the sounds of the sea. Thanks to Liz and Lloyd for friendly hospitality.

Loved Opito Bay

What a stunning Beach. The Batch was an iconic Kiwi Batch. Bought back lots of memories of childhood holidays, just didn't notice on the listing that we were required to bring our own linen but the owners lent us some which was really nice of them. Absolutely loved it. Highly recommended.

Wonderful spot for a small family (and dogs!)

Loved our short stay in this Liz's house. Really well laid out inside with everything you need. Was a great spot for our family and dog - plenty of space outside and RIGHT on the beach. Liz and her husband were really helpful all the way through. Would definitley return.

Perfect little tuck away in Opito Bay

Great holiday in sunny Opito, the bach is right across the street from the beach and boat launch which made using the provided Kayaks a breeze. House had everything we needed to keep us busy when out of the sun. The hosts were great and always accessible if we needed anything. Really hope to be back soon.

We have been staying in this little bach for 26 years, winter and summer. Travelling down from Auckland most weekends. Because it's worth it!

It's a fabulous place to get away from the rat race. You forget the real world exists out there with all it's problems and stresses. We have now built a second dwelling on the property and are 'livin' the dream' permanently. This is why the little bach has become available for you to enjoy.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

It is completely self contained on the rear of the section, with it's own beach hut bar for your afternoon happy hour. Directly over the back fence is a Council trailer park where you can park your boat and any extra cars.
