Monte Carlo Spring Break

The Monte Carlo was a perfect fit for our family for Spring Break. The unit was as represented online. We were able to find chairs at the pool and beach throughout the day.

Well located,no need to have a car

Well organized, nice beach, nice pools. Supermarket and pharmacy at walking distance., but neighborhood somewhat mixed with Miami glamour and poverty.

Nice beach

If you want to go to the beach this place is great. The beach is right outside the property. The property has 2 pools and a large hot tub. The condo we received had a direct view of a dilapidated building. You had to look to the far right to see the water. The area around the property is very mixed. There are nicely kept buildings next to abandoned ones. There are not a lot of dining options especially if you have children. There is a Publix store very close by. We went there frequently for supplies. It is a nice safe store. If you stay in this area, you will have to drive or Uber to most parts of Miami. The beach and pools are great here. The check in process is very frustrating. You can’t check in until 4 pm. If you try you will be turned away. Our room was still not ready at 4 pm. I have never gone anywhere where check in is so late and they will not allow you to check in a bit early if the room is ready. There was a huge line waiting to check in at 4 pm. The condo is large and we enjoyed the kitchen, balcony and washing machine/ dryer.

Fantastic views ON the beach. Across the street (30 second walk) from Walgreens, Publix, UPS, nail salon and beach shop. The unit was clean and modern. The cookware was deficient (peeling nonstick pan, no bakeware, and a 1-cup hotel coffee pot we had to ask to swap out for a bigger one). Elevators were down a lot, so waits were very long. Cleaning is a lot extra per day so we opted out of that and just ordered extra towels. We would stay here again.

Cleanliness

We were given the option to choose early check in (prior to 4pm), which we did. It was denied due to the fact that extra cleaning was to be done due to Covid, which was fine with us. We arrived at 2:30 to check in and we were told the property was ready. As we got our bearings we realized the living room rug appeared never to have been vacuumed prior to our arrival. Obvious food crumbs were scattered all over it. Then we noticed long black strands of hair in the bathroom on the tub, sink, and toilet. We expected more for the cleaning fee we paid and for these Covid times.

Beautiful Escape!

We loved our stay at The Monte Carlo. From the moment we checked in to the moment we left we had the best time. The room was clean, spacious and had amazing views of the beach and bay. We felt safe with the cleanliness and the rules to wear masks and limit the number of guests in the elevators. The staff in person, on the phone and through email were helpful and courteous. We loved the location right next to the beach and walkway, complimentary beach chairs and umbrella, beach towels and the fact that there was a kitchen that was adequately stocked. Complimentary toiletries, dish soap, laundry soap and coffee was nice for the first night. Although we did not use them the 2 pools, hot tub and gym were lovely. To reduce our exposure we cooked in every meal instead of eating out. The Publix grocery and liquor store is just a short walk away from the property. We were celebrating our 25th anniversary and will always remember this amazing, relaxing and beautiful get away during the pandemic!
