Beach get away

We can’t say enough about Tanglewood #19, it was extremely well equipped, clean, perfect location, had enough space for a family of five. Loved every minute of our vacation

We were so impressed with the exceptional service from the Host, Archie and the Manager Judy. The accommodations were immaculate, very comfortable and stylish furnishings. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and supplies. Our BBQ propane was low and and within minutes we had a new tank and we back at BBQ’ing our dinner. Location was perfect, easy parking, we had two cars and plenty of room for mountain bikes and beach supplies. Safe and clean complex, we really felt like a mini paradise. There were 4 adults and two kids, plenty of room. There were two fans and we brought a third one, that meant a fan for every bedroom, the weather was beautifully warm while we were there. We can’t wait to return next year!

Family vacation

Archie is a great host. The three level three bedroom townhouse with garage is the perfect place for any group to stay and play. Townhouse is a short walk to the beach and ocean views from the top two levels. We hope to visit again next summer.

Perfect location for a family escape!

We were 4 adults, 2 kids and one baby and this property was the ideal place to escape the city for a few days. The location steps to the beach and to the park cannot be beat. The place is spread out over three levels which worked well for us with grandma's bedroom on the ground floor. It felt very spacious and bright! There were sand toys in the garage (where we could park too), a little bonus. Archie was also very easy to deal with, and we felt the pricing was very reasonable for the space. I can see two couples/small families sharing the space without tripping over each other. Parksville has become our "go-to" with the family now and this locale gives you the best of everything the town has to offer, including the loveliest stretch of beach around esp at low tide! Oh ya and ice cream up the road too! I would never bother with booking at one of the nearby nameless resorts again!

Great family spot

This is our second stay and we will continue to try and book this property for our family’s Parksville holidays. It’s close to the beach, walking to the mini golf and very family friendly (toys and books). We love it here.

Great location, perfect for families

We had a great stay. Loved the location. Less then a minute walk to the ocean. Beach was fantastic. Kids loved it. Beds were comfortable. I just wished there were better pillows. If we return to the area we would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful place

It was our third time in the Tanglewood complex. We love the location and the beach. It’s quiet and beautiful. The condo was very comfortable. The beds are good. Maybe we had been spoiled before, but we were surprised to find bare cupboards, not even salt. Despite this slight disappointment, we had a great stay!

Fantastic place so close to the beach

Easy check-in, parking, garage for storage of bikes and paddleboards, beach level make it so easy to hang out and the beach and even run back for the washroom or if you forget something. Always enjoy our time here, which is why we've been back so many times. Hard to beat

Fantastic!

All around great experience! Archie was wonderful to work with; great communication, accurate description of property. We spent a glorious 11 nights at this property and loved every minute. Plenty of space for family of six with four teenagers. We loved how bright and airy the condo was, having the beach just steps away, and also took advantage of the trails in the park next door. I enjoyed morning coffee on the balcony with ocean view. We visited Coombs, Qualicum Beach, Englishman River Provincial Park, Little Qualicum Falls Provincial Park, Cathedral Grove, and Cameron Lake, plus day trips to Nanaimo and Newcastle Island, Victoria and Ucluelet/Tofino, and many hours of enjoyment on Rathtrevor beach. We found this property an ideal location as a home base for all the places we wanted to see. Love the Parksville area! Would not hesitate to book again if/when we return. Thanks, Archie, for a great experience!

Family Gathering at the beach

We rented 2 units which are side by side for a family gathering of 8. The location is ideal. We enjoyed morning coffee at the beach which was a short walk from the units. Kitchens are well stocked with all the tools for cooking. We would rent these units again.

Family vacation

Archie was a great host, he was very accommodating and quick to answer questions. The property is a great location with lots of room. Just a few things need some updating, like kitchen faucet, and a few window blinds need fixing, as they were hard to close without the turning mechanism, especially the spare bedroom upstairs where we were trying to keep it dark for our kiddos. Overall a great stay!

Lovely Stay

There aren't many places we have previously stayed that we would consider returning to, but this would be one of them! Easy check in/out. Great location close to all attractions, clean and spacious for a family of 5.

Condo near Rathtrevor Park

It is a very large 3 bedroom condo near Rathtrevor. So quick to walk the trails of the park without driving. It is easy to walk by yourself or as a group, without having to do everything together.
