Golf: uno de los complejos más exclusivos de Europa, el Club San Roque se encuentra en medio de acres de campiña aislada en la punta de la Península Ibérica, mirando al África desde el Estrecho de Gibraltar. A poca distancia de la concurrida Costa del Sol, a pocos minutos de Marbella, San Roque cuenta con dos campos de campeonato y la Escuela de Golf Natural Seve Ballesteros. Estos se complementan con un centro ecuestre.
Valderrama es un 6356 metros par 71 sin hoyo con menos calidad de campeonato, pero puede ser disfrutado por los jugadores de todos los handicaps, gracias al genio de Robert Trent Jones, Senior, a quien muchos consideran el mejor arquitecto de golf de su época.
Inaugurado en 1964, Sotogrande se ha convertido en uno de los mejores campos de golf de Europa. Diseñado por Robert Trent Jones, Sotogrande fue su primera incursión en el continente. El campo tiene muy poco en bruto, pero hay muchos bunkers y peligros de agua para hacer de Sotogrande un campo desafiante para todos los niveles de golfistas. Finca Cortesin también se encuentra a poca distancia en automóvil.

The property was superb there were 5 adults and 4 children and we had ample room for all of us many extras such as toys for the pool and beach towels the only slight improvement would be WI-FI in this day and age 4 children and adults all with technology we would certainly recommend it it

Excellent property in a lovely location

Our stay in Manilva was lovely. The house was idyllic with a pool that barely anyone else used. A short drive to the beach and marina and close to estepona. Loads to do including water parks and kid friendly activities. The house was amazing there was literally nothing else we needed. Clean, great space with loads of facilities and extras. Cindy was lovely and helpful and we got great recommendations from the owner too. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay.

Amazing house in a beautiful location

We stayed here in early sept 2009, the house is very spacious with beautiful views, The bedrooms are very large and have the most comfortable matresses and pillows, which ensured we all got great sleep while there. Cannot fault the house in any way, had all the comforts of home in spain., TV , washing machine, microwave...etc etc Walk to DuQuesa is about 15-20mins downhill but wouldnt recommend walking back up so a car is handy to have :) We would def recommend this house for families with kids as there are many pools and playgrounds in the complex which are very clean and secure.

En general, nuestras vacaciones en esta casa han sido agradables y lo hemos pasado bien, aunque la casa deja mucho que desear en algunos aspectos. Está realmente sucia: los cajones, lo s baños, debajo de las camas... En la cocina está todo desordenado, además de que las sartenes están viejas. Las bandejas del horno muy sucias y el jardin no muy cuidado.

Una buena casa para descansar.

La casa es muy bonita, y está en un sitio muy agradable. Para descansar y desconectar. Si quiero poner un pero, la limpieza en cocina y zonas comunes deja un poco que desear, pero en lavabos y habitaciones es buena. He echado en falta, una casa de este tipo, debería tener wifi.

Casa muito boa ideal para famílias com crianças. Tem 1 pequeno jardim e fica perto da piscina que é muito sossegada. Aliás o aldeamento é muito calmo. No entanto é necessário carro para ir a praia ou qualquer outro sítio. Tem praias a 10 minutos de carro muito boas e sem muita gente com estacionamento fácil. Único senão é que a cozinha não estava muito limpa e está deteriorada. Tudo o resto muito bem.

A lovely villa

This was our first holiday abroad as a family of 6, along with our friends and their 2 children. The villa was spacious and clean. We all enjoyed the pool close to the villa as well as the larger pool over the road within the other part of the complex. The closest shops and town were at distance to walk, a car was needed. Communication with both the owner and Cindy who was there to let us in on arrival was quick. I would absolutely recommend this villa, we all had a fabulous time.

Fantastic Family holiday home

We stayed at this beautiful property in August 2019. Right from the outset the communication with the owner was brilliant - Elaina always emailed back and answered any queries we had immediately which put us at ease straight away. We are a family of 2 adults and 4 children all below the age of 6 years old. A week or so before our holiday we were given contact details for Cindy - a lovely lady who would be our main point of contact during our stay. We followed the sat nav but ended up arriving from the toll roads but we called Cindy and she came to our rescue and led us straight to our property. This property is huge - it covers 4 floors and is absolutely spotless. 4 bedrooms and 2 en suites and 1 shower/ toilet and one toilet. You could easily fit 2 families at this property. The outside space was ample with the terrace area leading around to a small but beautiful garden area complete with fruit trees - This are has a little gate and is quite secure for families with small children - in fact the whole area is safe and secure as within a gated community. The pool is only a few feet away and was pretty quiet. A car is definately needed as even though you could walk to shops or the beach , coming back up the hill with small children would be a struggle. The port in Duquesa has now become my favourite place ever - everything you need is here. The beaches all the way along are amazing, spotless and the views are breath taking.. We took the kids to a play centre called Mundo Mania - its about a 25 min drive away and even though it was a bit pricey at 12 euros per child - this price is for the whole day - you can leave and come back the same day as long as you keep your ticket - this place is awesome , a good softplay area plus an outside water play area with trampolines and football pitches etc . The food is really good too - high quality even though the menu may look to be basic -you will be suprised. We would also recommend the CHILLI restaurant based in Duquesa port situated on the first floor - its a n indian / Mexican place and the food was amazing.. There were so many places to chose from to eat. We also loved the fact that there were so many playgrounds along the beaches and just behind the port itself which kept the children amused...not that they were short of things to do. I would recommend this location and house to anyone - trust me you will not be disapointed :)

Really great Holiday base

We booked this house for nearly two weeks for our main holidays this year. Have to say in our experience it is one of the nicest houses we have ever booked and the area is wonderful. Its about an hour from Malaga airport and is situated in a main resort with an attached golf club. House to say the least is very spacious and we were still discovering it near the end of the holiday. It had a number of very nice verandas and great views. House was very clean and we were met by the local contact who took us to the house and showed all the mod cons. Less than a 3-4 min ute drive to beach are and loads of wonderfuls bards and restaurants in the area. Really quite and good resort facilities with three different pools. Owner is great to deal with and very helpful in all ways. Will return, great holiday thank you. J&l

nous étions 4 couples notre but était de visiter seville,cordoue , ronda, grenade ,nous avons loué un véhicule pour huit personnes ,noue étions bien situés vis à vis du réseau routier pour effectuer ces visites ,aucune contrainte horaire ,nous prenions nos repas à la villa super bien équipée ,confortable ,la description est modeste attendez vous à trouver un logement plus spacieux. Tout à été règle par internet , Elaina a eu la gentillesse de répondre à tous mes messages pour faciliter nos vacances.Aucun problème au niveau règlement caution etc.... ce que l'on peut redouter par internet. encore merci Elaina

Winter Holiday

We used this house for the first time this winter and cannot wait to return. We already knew the area and house location so were not disapointed with the area or location. The facilities are first class and very well maintained , as we stayed for nearly 4 months we had a few minor problems which were sorted out very quickly by the back up staff with the full suport of the owners. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone (But not when we want to rent) We know the area very well and play a lot of golf and eat out most of the time, the Duquesa district is well served with golf clubs (10 within 15 minutes ) and an incredible variety of restaurents from traditional Spanish to English fish and chips via French , Italian, Chinese etc. We like this property so much we have already booked for the coming winter. We also like Jazz music and go to sessions in Marbella and Gibralter which take place every week, there are of course the usual pop type and flamenco gigs.

Very modern and spacious villa

3 couples in our early 30's took off for a quick week in La Duquesa, and what a lovely place it is! We flew into Gibraltar, which was pretty cheap with easyjet, and only half an hour's drive away. The guy with the keys met us at the bottom of the hill in the resort, so finding the villa was very easy. The villa itself is superb. Decorated to a very high, modern standard, we were all instantly impressed. The kitchen was equiped with everything you might need, the beds all had comfy memoryfoam matresses and the patio is big enough to follow the sun around all day. We were fortunate that the complex was very quiet, so we practically had the pool to ourselves everyday. And the BBQ makes a relaxing evening after a hard day of tanning! La Duquesa is also very charming. The marina has some great restaurants and a few bars offering happy hour. We would recommend the Argentinian Steakhouse up the steps. The Chinese and Indian were also pretty good. The days that we spent on the beach were very relaxed and the paella in the beach bar is perfect to share for lunch. All in all, a great holiday. Would definitely recommend this villa and would stay here again myself. Many thanks to Elaina!

Great family holiday

We stayed in this house in late August and had a great experience. We are a couple from London and stayed with our 8-month old baby, grandparents and 2 aunts. We were very comfortable in the house which was big enough for all of us. During the day we relaxed by the pool or stayed at the house with the baby. There is a big terrace which gets shade so you can eat lunch outside at a big dining table and a baby can play without getting too hot or sunburnt. There was a great breeze which made it really lovely. There were 2 pools near the house - the nearest one was a bit small but there is a bigger one across the street large enough for swimming laps. The neighbors in the community are lovely with many small children which was fun for our baby - we were even invited to a neighbor's birthday party. A few days we went exploring the surroundings, heading to Granada, Ronda, some beaches west of Tarifa and Casares. For food we really enjoyed Terraza in Casares and on the beach between the port in Duquesa and the village of Castillo there was a great little fish shack. The port itself also had a nice Italian restaraunt whose name I'm forgetting (something like Parapiros) that was very good but a bit pricey. Also an amazing gelato place in the port. The only thing to be aware of with the house is that it's far from the beach, and the beach in Duquesa is pretty rocky and freezing cold. There were very few people in the sea when we were there. It didn't matter much for us as beach with a baby is a nightmare, but something to be aware of if you're looking for a pure beach holiday. In all, we found the house spacious and so comfortable for a relaxing family holiday!

Perfect family getaway

Firstly I don't think the pictures do the place justice. Furnishings and decor are top notch, great garden, nice patio and good beds. A good starting point. The small pool nearby was perfect for us and we were told that the rest of the development, while they have access, don't really know about it so it was never crowded. There was a slight problem with the lock on the front door and this was sorted out the next day. In Duquesa I'd reccomend either of the Pizza Restaurants on the upper level, La Traviata and there's a retaurant beside the 19th holse which is very nice but the name escapes me. We also had Indian takeaway from the restaurant on the upper level and a Chinese takeaway, both were nice although be aware that the Chinese likes to use chillies extensively! I'd give the Mexican a miss though, it wasn't up to much. We had a great time and would go back tomorrow.

Very good option!

The house is very child safe and there is room to breath for everyone(we were 6 adults + 2 children). A car is a must thing, the area is peaceful and the views are nice. Everything in the house was in order and all the things worked like they should.

Book it!

Because this is an end-of-block house, outside is a lot more spacious than others in the block. There are great views across the 'valley' from the patio area. As we were a party of seven (2 families), it made the rental more affordable. We included 3 late-teenagers & couldn't have chosen a much better property. The owners were more than happy to answer any questions prior to arrival. A car is essential but beware of the GPS coordinates if arriving via the mountains rather than direct from Malaga airport - separate Sat-Navs took both cars down a dead end. We had a wonderful relaxing holiday & would highly recommend it to any family if the budget can stretch.

Perfect villa for two families with children

The villa was perfect for two families with children ages 8 and 11. There are three different poolareas, tenniscourt and playground in a quite urbanisation with locked gates.You can eat att home if you want to or go to Sabinillas with good tapasplaces. A lot of great beaches in the surrounding, especially Torreguardiano near Sotogrande. You need a car because it is on the top of the hill, 2 km from Puerto de la duquesa.

Fantastic

We have just returned from two weeks staying at this fabulous house. We were a party of nine with two babies aged two and my mum is 83 and it was perfect. The facilities for children are great, very very safe, child gates, high chairs, pushchairs, toys etc etc so we were all able to relax and the complex itself is very safe for children. The house was decorated very nicely and had all the amenties you could require and were all in excellent condition. The bonus of a washing machine was great with two little ones. Would definetly recommend to any family, we felt car hire was essential as it recommends in the details. Great place you will not be dissapointed!

Fun in the sun for the boys and girls!

We recently stayed at this lovely house for a long weekend. Whilst there were four couples in our group, there was more than enough room to accommodate all of us comfortably. All the rooms are spacious, individually themed and beautifully decorated. The lounge and terrace areas are spacious and comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. Everyone in our group agreed that our whole experience was faultless including the polite and friendly greeting service. I would thoroughly recommend this property and we will certainly be going back soon. Fantastic!

Fabulous House

Me and my family went to this house (4 adults and 2 kids) and had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful and safe for kids. There's a choice of three pools and one has a kids pool which was ideal for us. I do recommend a car as taxi's are a little dear. Praise to Elaina also for excellent communication and help. Would definitely go again.

Lovely house great for families

Lovely house, very child friendly with stair gates, cot and high chair. All came in extremely handy and made the holiday so easy with young children. The house comfortably slept 8 of us and is beautifully furnished. The garden is excellent for young children and is nice and secure so the kids could play without the worry of them escaping! The terrace was lovely to relax on and enjoy a drink in the evenings. The pools are lovely and are very close to the house. We had the pool to ourselves most of the week which was wonderful. The development is very quiet and the gardens etc are well maintained. We did not walk to the marina as with young children it was bit too far for little legs so we drove down in less than 5 minutes which suited us fine. We found the house as an excellent base to see Ronda, Tarifa, Mijas and the surrounding areas. All in all an excellent week in such a lovely house. Thanks again Elaina

We are a family of 5 with a very busy toddler. We usually travel with my mother so a multi generational holiday is our choice and Duquesa and the Costa Del Sol offers a wonderful family break always.

The kids love it - the beaches, the pools, the play area, the port and of course the sunshine ! We don't golf too much as we love to chill on our holidays.

We are hoteliers in Ireland so ease of travel and equipping our house with the best amenities to deliver a wonderful family experience are critical to us.

We don't travel too much in the busy summer tourism period at home so that is why we make our house available to tourists seeking the perfect getaway !

Within a short driving distance, you can explore some of the world's finest golf courses including San Roque, Valderama, Sotogrande and Finca Cortesin.

Marbella, Puerto Banus, Malaga and Gibraltar are also a short drive away.

Further afield, Seville and the ski await in Granada.

Waterparks and so much more - we love it!
