A well presented modern home positioned on the estuary with amazing water views. The grand living flows through large slider doors on the deck overlooking the lawn that leads onto the reserve and waterfront estuary - a fabulous spot for BBQs or just chill while you listen to the Tui's.
Nicely furnished modern interior with large leather lounge suite plus modern bathroom and kitchen.
Carport for covered parking and 4 kayaks in the canoe shed, life jackets provided. Boat ramp just around corner. High tide is approx waist height in the estuary. Take a short bush walk to the local wharf (15 mins walk). Very peaceful neighborhood and sunny elevated outlook over the harbour.
Dishwasher, washing machine included along with broadband and Netflix. Free wifi.
All ready to go. Comfortable beds, Super King and Queen are near new, two single beds, one with roll out trundler making 3 singles. Plenty of games for kids to play.
Lots to do in the area. 10 mins drive to Athenree hot pools and Waihi Beach. KatiKati township is 15 mins drive and Waihi 20 mins drive for all your amenities.

Amazing spot! The photos don’t do it justice. The house was spotless and had everything we needed for our stay. The highlight was being able to jump in the water straight from the edge of the property. Handy location to waihi beach also and great supermarket close in katikati as well. We hope to come back!

Views forever

Wonderful, right on the water with great views. Large and very comfortable, everything you need is here. Really enjoyed our stay, especially since we hit the tail end of the cyclone and stayed put for more that a few days with the rain.

AVOID, on the first day we couldn’t even check in on time as the owner was still there looking for her keys. We were empathetic towards this so helped where we could. Once we had finally all settled in, she knocked and came through the house two or three times looking for them and we had to move our cars several times as they went in and out. She then left her phone in the house and all throughout the evening until 11:30pm it rang on and off waking us and our children several times until we could finally locate it and discovered whose phone it was! Our first day felt like an absolute shambles because of all this and we didn’t get to properly relax at all. We then had crappy intermittently working internet the whole trip despite us saying we relied on the internet overnight (medical reason) Cheryl’s communication around this was rubbish until the final morning when she decided to call spark and by then it was too late. And no, DVDs on offer did not fix the issue we had overnight. The kayaks are decrepit and not safe for young kids to be on so don’t bother there. And to top off our holiday, despite us being SO patient and kind towards Cheryl the entire trip, she then accuses us off breaking a wheel on a trundler we didn’t even use and is charging us an extra $845 because of this and due to sand in the house and some fingerprints on the sliding door and the couch.. We were at a BEACH house with 4 young kids - come on! I grew up with a parent who was a cleaner, that parent was staying with us. We left that house cleaner than most would have, even wiping out her fridge and only left the vacuuming and linen washing for the cleaner. There are NO instructions that say any trace of sand is banned in the beach house, I rinsed off all their togs in the sink next to the washing machine, as anyone would but I’m not the perfect mum. It’s impossible for some sand not to escape me, I did my best but to charge us over $800 for sand and fingerprints is UNREASONABLE. I saw her previous review where she accused other guests of water damage and nearly didn’t book because of it but figured it was isolated and surely we’d be all good but it seems like this is just the way the owner is, she was so angry about the fact she was out of pocket for losing her keys and so she’s now clutching at straws trying to recoup some of that loss by charging us for ridiculous things. We will not be paying for this and are just grateful to have a lawyer in our family to sort her out.

Peaceful Place to relax and close to great beaches

A beautiful home that is big enough for a family and to have your own space if you need. The home has everything you need and more. The outlook and placement on the estuary is ideal. The birdlife, water views, walks and kayaking give plenty of options. This place is also just 10 min from stunning Waihi Beach. We had six people stay, four adults and two children and it was wonderful. Cheryl is very accommodating and responsive to anything you need.

A little slice of the kiwi dream

We had an amazing four nights stay, 4 adults and two children. The house is clean, tidy and very functional. The kitchen has everything we needed, we cooked all but one of our meals there and the large living/dining/kitchen layout makes even rainy days enjoyable there. The large selection of games for children and adults was also much appreciated. The location itself is amazing with great views of the water but also in a nice quiet area of the coast that we felt extremely relaxed in. The kayaks meant we could enjoy the water during high tide but then go walking and explore during low tide. Cheryl our host was amazing, good communication and exactly as advertised on the site. Thank you again for the amazing stay.

Nice views

We stayed for 10 days. Really enjoyed the views, the house is comfortable and well maintained. It's a quiet area so we had to take the car to entertain the kids (and ourselves) a few times. Nice short walks around the bay. The owner was a great host and very responsive.

Home Away from Home

We stayed at this beautiful Bach over labour weekend. We had the most amazing time which started well before checkin with updates from Cheryl. She even went the extra mile to outline some of the hazards around the house for our crawling infant! The whole house was super clean and tidy and had everything we needed. The birds, views and surroundings were perfect. I can’t recommend this place enough. We will be back!

Fantastic family break

The house is in a beautiful quiet location, right on the water. We enjoyed kayaking and the little bush walks. The bird life you can watch from the deck was amazing. The house is very well set up and had everything we needed during our stay. It is very roomy and comfortable. Great location only 10 to 15 minutes from either Kati Kati or Waihi.

Relaxing retreat

Idyllic spot to relax watching the water and all the native bird life from the comfort of this fabulous holiday home. Plenty of space, games for kids, loved using the kayaks. Great location close to both Waihi Beach and KatiKati. Very accomodating and thoughtful host 😊. Highly recommend
