Barwon Cottage

Please not this property is not suitable for guests unable to use stairs as the bedroom is upstairs.

Renovated cottage on large fenced block. Upstairs you will find a large queen bedroom. Downstairs is a bathroom 2 toilets with spa bath overlooking a fernery and large walk in shower, as well as an open plan fully contained kitchen with dining and lounge. Full size fridge dishwasher microwave oven and cooktop complete the kitchen. Washing machine and dryer in separate laundry. Large smart tv and free WIFI. Quality furnishings and linen throughout the home ensures you have a wonderful time away and you can even bring your dog! Have a relaxing bath and chill by the gas log fire after dinner out at one of the many restaurants in Barwon Heads within a 3 min drive or 15 min walk. Netflix and Stan available on smart TV. Your dog will have complete freedom to move around the property with the front fence high as shown on photos. The house is warm and cozy in winter, perfect for a romantic getaway or cool in summer with ceiling fans and air conditioning. Please note the only bedroom upstairs does not have air conditioning and can get very hot. It has a ceiling fan.

Our host Jackie is very welcoming. This property is gorgeous. It’s ideal for pets as a big fence and gate surround the property so we very happy being able to leave our fur baby at home if needed with plenty of room to run around. It’s not a far walk into the Main Street of Barwon heads. And is in a very quiet street. I absolutely love the spa bath and the little garden view from the bath window.

Pet friendly lovely property perfect for your furkids to safely & securely enjoy your family holiday. Julie was a lovely host & very responsive. For us to relax & enjoy our holiday it’s vital our dogs are safe & comfy. Would definitely recommend this property & would stay again. We had a great weekend away with our small, older dog, and this cottage was perfect for our needs. The cottage is on a large block with a secure fence all around, and it was a very nice home to relax in for the weekend (the large deck would be great in summer). The home has a lot of character, and was excellent value on Stayz - we would highly recommend to couples like us with a dog!

Great house for a quick break

Brilliant house, with even better space for the pooch. Best shower I’ve ever had at a short term stay, everything there that we needed. Absolutely recommended.

Barwon cottage stay

Lovely well appointed cottage. Large yard for digs to explore and deck for sunning themselves. We loved our stay and enjoyed the walks through the parks close by.

A perfect getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at your cottage- it was beautifully decorated, wonderful facilities (in particular the bathroom with the relaxing garden out the window) and a big secure backyard for our dog to run around in! We will be back again! Thank you for a providing a great home away from home!

It was perfect!

We loved Ben's Cottage. It is a lovely house, well priced, close to the beach and perfect for a beach getaway. We loved the bath and outdoor shower. The front deck is amazing. We will be back for sure!

Barwon Cottage - Great Place!

We decided to do a short stay at Barwon Heads but also wanted to bring our dogs for beach walks! The cottage is great for dogs with large fenced in yard! The kitchen is presented excellently and there was enough cutlery, glasses and plates etc. The deck was great to sit out on for an afternoon drink! We will be back!

Great little retreat

We stayed at Barwon Cottage over Christmas and enjoyed it very much. The house is situated in a quiet street, very well equipped, and it was spotlessly clean. Communication with the owners was easy and the guests' manual contained the user guides for the TV and the kitchen equipment. So we managed to bake a cake for a family party without any problems.A definite highlight of the house is the spa bath in the bathroom that looks out to an enclosed fernery. Excellent for relaxing in the tub in the evening while looking into the illuminated little jungle.The bedroom is upstairs, and while the bed is comfy enough, the room has only a ceiling fan (as opposed to the kitchen/living area downstairs, which is well served with air condition). So in warm summer nights, the bedroom under the tin roof takes a long time to cool down even after a cool change in the evening. Apart from this minor inconvenience, we had a great stay at this cosy cottage.

A little gem

What a great property- within walking distance to the Main Street where we enjoyed a lovely breakfast with our dog. The property was perfect, plenty of space for 2 adults and a furry friend. It was equipped with everything we needed. We didn’t use the spa bath during our stay but will return some other time for a longer stay. Our dog was also very relaxed which makes for a great stay.

Bens cottage is the cutest small home you'll ever stay at. Its clean, beautifully presented inside and when you walk in you will feel like your on holidays straight away. I have spent a lot of time in the cottage so it has everything you need, the fully fenced yard is perfect for your dog and dog friendly beaches are not far away. We have the river at one side and the beach at the other to pick from and a cute little street with great shops. Great ocean road not far away.
