Modern cottage with gorgeous rural views 15 mins from Denmark town

Harewood Hideaway Cottage is a beautiful and cozy 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage on 55 acres, overlooking a large dam, green pastures and rolling hills. Situated just off the main tourist route, Scotsdale Road, this rural property is 15 mins to Denmark town and close to many wineries and local attractions including walking and riding trails, the Alpaca Farm and Greens Pool. Fully equipped kitchen with a Nespresso coffee pod machine, quality cooking utensils and luxury bedding/towels. Relax by the wood fire, with firewood included over winter, or sit on the back verandah and take in the stunning views with kangaroos.

Most suited for couples or a small family, (max 3 adults).

Pet friendly with a large fenced secure area opposite the cottage and a fully secure back fence attached to the cottage with access from the back door and side gate.

The cottage is next to a house which is sometimes occupied by the owners. If you have a larger group, send us an enquiry for the house which sleeps up to 8 and is a separate listing on VRBO. We also rent the entire property to larger groups by request (up to 12).

    Love the surroundings and the animals. Also some nice wineries near by. Our little man was so happy to explore everyday. We really enjoyed our stay.

    Property was so lovely, comfortable and clean, and in a brilliant location. The dogs thoroughly enjoyed their stay, and we will definitely be back to keep exploring the area, 3 nights just wasn't enough :)

    Such a relaxing break. The cottage is so warm and cosy with the wood fire. Sunsets by the dam are just magical.

    Tranquil and perfect, just what we needed!

    Hideaway Cottage was in a great location, peaceful but with easy access to Denmark and surrounds. With two energetic dogs to walk there was plenty of dog friendly places to go, as well as on the property. Jo and Andrew, the cottage was beautifully done and had everything you need. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

    Lovely country escape! The cottage was very nicely decorated with all amenities we needed, it just as the pictures show except closer to the main house than we realised. Fully enclosed back yard that our dogs loved. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

    Lovely cottage, clean and comfortable. The dog loved having a grassed area to lay around on in the afternoon. The outlook over the lake was beautiful and relaxing. Had lots of bird life to watch and listen to. Thanks for a lovely stay.

    Perfect getaway

    Great property to realx in peaceful surroundings with your family and you dog if your lucky enough to have one. The hosts were there next door at the time of our stay and they could not have been more accommodating lending the kids their kayaks and happy to have a chat. Will be back

    Absolutely stunning property, so quiet & peaceful. From the moment we arrived there was a sense of calm. The house was so clean, beautifully presented and the host had thought of so many little things to make it feel special. Kitchen was well equipped too.     Serenity, nature and beauty

    Absolutely loved my time at this property with my dog. There was so much room to walk around, especially the beautiful lake area with all the birds and trees. There was a great sized fenced & grassed area for the dog, and she was allowed inside! There was everything I needed for a lovely wood fire, and the cabin was very well equipped with anything else you could need. I will definitely be back and would recommend the property to anyone.

    A cute country cottage

    This was a gorgeous cottage for my family (2 adults and 2 children ) to spend the weekend in beautiful Denmark. The property was perfect for us city folk , to experience nature and reset, we brought along our blue heeler pup who thrived on the large property and loved every minute of the dam . The fenced yard gave us peace of mind to leave her safely , whilst we spent our days exploring. I hope to book again one day in the future .

    Perfect place for a cosy getaway

    Our stay was fantastic! Jo was so welcoming, friendly and helpful. The house was clean, comfortable and perfect for a couple with 2 pups. The property is gorgeous with a beautiful view of the dam and rest of the property. Although the weather was very wet, we still enjoyed our stay and the wood fire was amazing to keep us warm. The way the house was set up is very tasteful and modern and had all that we required. The location is great for exploring the region. Denmark and many popular places to visit are nearby and the drive there through the forest is magical. Although the road to the house is gravel, it is very easy to drive on as it is well maintained and graded. We will definitely be back to stay again!

    Found the accommodation to be good, had a problem with the website site that we booked with. Won't use them again?? Liz and I had 2 nights and enjoyed our time. The property has 50 acres and we could go for walks, but please close the gates to keep their cattle in. Plenty of Kangaroos, we counted around 50 at one time. The small lake in front of the accommodation was a nice surprise. 14 plus kilometers for Denmark CBD, but plenty of options of wineries and restaurants. That's if their open

    Absolutely amazing!

    From the moment we arrived we knew the holiday had started. A beautiful and picturesque property overlooking a lovely dam with the backdrop of cattle, Alpacas, kangaroos and emu’s grazing over the course of the day. Abundant bird life kept the sky busy before giving way to the cool night and bright stars. The cottage it's amazing, clean and cosy layout and well supplied with kitchen staples, quality linen, towels, appliances and furniture with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Our two doggies loved the fenced off yard with a view that only the most spoilt pups can dream of, and the log fire at night kept us all warm. On top of that the 50 acres to wander around, the Harewood Forest Trail on our doorstep and many wineries to call into on your short trip into town. With so many beaches and bays to go and explore, we simply ran out of time. Our five nights was wonderful and we will return again to keep exploring beautiful Denmark. Thank you Jo and Andrew for your hospitality and sharing this lovely property.
