Welcome to “Kalamata Retreat”, a brand new guest accommodation located within peaceful Bentwood Estate located on Broke Road, Pokolbin. Named to reflect the newly planted, petite olive grove of Kalamata trees on the property, this bright and modern 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom, open-plan house is set on an acre of estate land. With living, dining and outdoor entertaining, views across adjacent paddocks to hillside vineyards beyond, you’ll feel a sense of space as you take in the surrounding landscape. Being one of only three houses on the street, you will enjoy the sense of calm this seclusion brings.

Ideal for 8 guests, this fully self-contained retreat will accommodate all your needs, offering access to the estate pool and tennis court along with chefs kitchen, reverse cycle air-conditioning throughout, StarLink Satellite Wi-Fi, two sitting areas with TV’s, generous bathrooms with bathtub, BBQ, firepit* and laundry room. One of the bedrooms has been designed as an ability suite, with en-suite, along with gentle access via a landscaped ramp and wide entrance front and rear door, to enjoy the single level main house and entertaining areas. The newly installed Tesla battery provides assurance of off-grid power in case of a black out, and there is an electric vehicle charger supplied for guests' convenience.**
 
Well located just off Broke Road and Hermitage Roads, you and your guests are only minutes from memorable Hunter Valley attractions, food and experiences and bike trails.

Kalamata Retreat is located 8.8km to Hunter Valley Gardens, 3km De Iuliis Wines, Hunter Belle Cheese Café and Leogate Estate, 6.5km to Tyrells, 5.6km to Keith Tulloch, Muse Kitchen and the delights of Hermitage & Deasys Road cellar doors; Hunters Dream, Degen Estate and Hart & Hunter, and only 16.9km to the start of the Broke Wine Trail. You’ll be spoilt for choice being conveniently located to visit cellar doors, restaurants, golf courses and wedding venues. 
 
The Bentwood Estate feature a large pool and tennis court for use of all their estate guests and is an easy 8 minute walk from Kalamata Retreat. Please check with us for seasonal opening times by Bentwood Estate management.

*Being in a rural area with native bushland and fire hazards, firepits are only permitted to be used during the cooler months April – September and a one nights’ supply of timber is provided. Use of the firepit is also subject to NSW Rural Fire Service restrictions.

** Please note that we ask guests to please not use the electric vehicle charger during the peak hours of 3pm - 9pm. Additional charges will apply. Use of the charger outside of these hours is complimentary.

Please note, Kalamata Retreat has exterior security cameras to monitor the exterior of the home only for the protection of the property.  Security cameras are commonplace at many of our rural properties. Footage is private and remains the property of the owner, and will only be used for insurance liability reasons, to monitor occupancy and other policies noted in our Terms & Conditions. They, in no way, are there to infringe upon the expectation of privacy of guests in these exterior areas. To disable or obscure the cameras is prohibited and may result in loss of security deposit or eviction.

TARIFF
Weekend - minimum 2 nights for up to 6 guests $791 per night (Thu-Fri or Fri-Sat or Sat-Sun)
Midweek - minimum 2 nights for up to 6 guests $594 per night (Mon-Thu)
Additional adults $84 per person per night
Additional children 2-13 years $63 per person per night
Infants under 2 years free of charge.

Please note that a $40 booking fee is applicable for all bookings made.

SECURITY DEPOSIT
A security deposit/bond of $1000 is required for your stay and is payable as a credit card pre- authorisation. This will be processed approximately 24 - 48 hours before your arrival, so please ensure the funds are available at this time.

LONGER STAYS
Please contact us for a customised quote for longer stays of 3 nights and over.

NOTES
A 1-night stay may be accepted at discretion of Management within 14 days of the prospective arrival date. A surcharge is applicable on the 1-night stay, this will be calculated by our staff and quoted to you before the booking is confirmed.
Weekend Public Holiday, Easter, Christmas, and New Year periods require a minimum 3 night stay full weekend rate.

Concert and special event weekends in the Hunter Valley will have a set minimum night requirement to stay and may attract a surcharge.
