Why just rent a room, when you can enjoy a delightfully private and wonderfully immersive tropical experience? This stunning home has been lovingly refurbished in cool retro California style - featuring an eclectic blend of boho and coastal themes, sympathetically adapted to our lush tropical rainforest surroundings.
*We are dog friendly. Please ensure to check the house rules if you are planning to bring your dog.
You’ll start to unwind from the very first moment, as you soak up the soothing vibes while relaxing on the elegant porch of this welcoming family getaway. There’s plenty of comfortable outdoor space to simply bask and chat…or just watch the world go by. And you’ll find our dedicated pet area and fully fenced yard are perfect for chilling with your furry family member - so bring the whole family - including your pooch - what could be better!
Fabulously stylish, but oh so comfortable, this property delivers a carefree retro California feel with a modern tropical twist. The stylish, spacious lounge with its soft neutral tones and large dining table, provides a cozy hub for entertaining or just settling down to watch Netflix. The retro theme and funky tropical artworks add a touch of glamour to the bedrooms, one of which is fitted with a plush queen bed for a restful nights sleep. The twin bedroom boasts two plush extra long singles, which can be adapted into a king bed upon request.
We also went the extra mile and created a room dedicated to your furry family member. Your pooch has a bed (small to medium sized dogs) and a couple of doggy bowls too. And we added some chairs - so you can sit and enjoy precious time together. We do ask that you please be respectful and keep your doggo in his room, on the porch or in the fully fenced secure garden.
We hope you enjoy staying in this space as much as we thoroughly enjoyed creating it.
You have exclusive access to the property and fenced garden during your stay. We ask that you keep your furry family member in the designated dog area inside and also the fenced yard is obviously fine.
We will meet and greet you at the property with keys and show you around. After that, feel free to contact us for any questions you might have and if you need us, we are only a phone call away.
You are conveniently located a few kilometres from the city and the esplanade but if you don't feel like going very far at all, you are a few minutes walk from our favourite cafe in town, Brother Jenkins serving up old time favourites with a funky twist.
Also, 10 minutes walking you have a bottle shop, bakery, cafe and grocer.
The house is situated less than 3 minutes drive to the heart of the city and 6 minutes from the airport. Cairns central shopping centre and the esplanade are both a 20 minute stroll.
The best way to visit Cairns, in my opinion, is to hire a car. there are so many awesome things to see, just a short drive away. Such as waterfalls, beaches, botanical gardens, the list goes on. At night time, due to the close proximity of the city centre, taxi's are very cheap. Better still, Uber has arrived in Cairns and provide a great service...a trip to the city centre is approximately $8.

We also have an in-house travel agency, Cozie Travel, with local travel experts that have a wealth of experience booking a wide range of tours, both within Cairns and all over Australia.
We are more than happy to help with booking your trips and assisting with car rentals. We can probably answer any queries you might have in relation to tours and excursions, so do reach out to us - even if it’s just for honest advice!

Check-In Form & ID: All guests are required to complete a check-in form and present valid ID upon arrival. This is for security and registration purposes. Please answer the pre-booking questions truthfully to ensure the space suits your needs, and carefully read the check-in instructions that will be sent before your arrival.
Please note that we provide a starter amenity kit that includes a few essentials for your convenience, but for longer stays, you may need to go shopping to re-stock.
Please remember that you are in a residential setting. We remind you to respect the neighbours by keeping noise to a minimum.
No Unregistered Guests: Only registered guests are allowed on the property. No unregistered visitors are permitted inside the property.
This property has a strict no party, no smoking, and no pet policy. Any breach will result in immediate cancellation or eviction.
Check-in is from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM via self check-in with a key safe.
Check-out is before 10:00 AM. Unauthorised late check outs may incur a fee. Please follow the check out instructions sent to you and make sure you are familiar with where to leave your keys.
Guests may be charged for additional housekeeping if the property requires extra cleaning time.
Guests will be charged for replacing lost keys or fobs as well as a call out fee, if required.
Any smoking inside the property will result in charges to have the property professionally deodorised and furniture and carpets steam cleaned.
Pet Policy:
All dogs to be pre-approved before staying at the property.
Strictly dogs only. No other pets permitted.
One small to medium sized dog. No Large breed dogs.
No hunting dogs.
Dogs are permitted in the garden and designated dog area only.
Please check the garden and clear up after your dog before you leave.
Dogs are not to be left unattended at the property.
Dogs must be flea treated and flea free prior to arrival.
Please bring bedding and everything that your dog requires.
No dogs on the furniture.
No Puppies that have not yet been fully house trained and/or still chew.
A $300 pet bond will be frozen on your credit card at check in the event of damages or additional cleaning.
Cancellation Policy: Our cancellation policy is firm. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover your trip in case of emergencies, illness, extreme weather, etc. Any refund requests outside of our cancellation policy will be declined. We are happy to provide documentation to your travel insurance company to help expedite your claim.

At Cozie Homes, we understand owners’ and guests' needs and wants because of our own personal experiences. We started out on Airbnb with a single room in our own house. Our success with this single room inspired us to let an entire floor, offering a cozie, self-contained apartment in our Queenslander. This eventually became two apartments, and we then spent a couple of years creating the perfect formula for maximising bookings and customer satisfaction.
A year later, we bought a second property and repeated the formula, to great success. Now, a few years down the line, we are a fully licensed real estate agency with a plethora of awesome properties, which we manage on behalf of their owners.
