Clear Lake Muskoka Cottage - Patricia's Place

Located on beautiful Clear Lake in Torrance. Close to Bala, Port Carling, Gravenhurst and Bracebridge. 3 Bedroom, full bath, kitchen with most amenities, large great room with cathedral ceiling, tv room, baseboard heating (woodstove is locked and not to be used) 109 feet frontage, level land. Patricia's Place is a single family cottage available for rent this summer! Recently renovated with new siding and windows. Stunning southwestern view of the lake. Late morning and afternoon full sun. Shallow water entry wonderful for young children or just wading in the water. Crystal clear water. 2 kayaks, canoe, paddleboat (new for 2024) full dock, water mat for summer fun. BBQ deck with propane BBQ. Bonfire pit by the water (used only when fire regulations allow). Also booking into fall when the colours are spectacular. Aluminum boat available for separate rent also.

A Great time had by all

The cottage amenities are great inside and out. Everyone had a great time. This is my 3rd time renting this place and it just gets better every time!We would definitely return again.

Brenda and her family are simply wonderful! They left the cottage in perfect condition and even left enough wood for the next guests to enjoy with campfires by the lake. It was a pleasure to host Brenda. Highly recommend as guests and I would be thrilled to host them again!

Lovely cottage in a beautiful setting, Sandy shallow beach where you can walk out 50 meters and still have water at chest level. Friendly neighbors, tranquil setting, great sun exposure.

Full week stay last week of August

The cottage is exactly as advertised, lovely, fully stocked and comfy. Cathy, owner, is delightful deal with. Great access to the lake and sunshine on the dock from 11 am till sunset.

Perfect Little Cottage

This cottage is exactly what I was looking for! My kids and I had the best time with the canoe and kayaks on the lake. Miss having my morning coffee on the dock tho. Thanks Cathy for hosting, perfect little cottage

First Time Vrbo Stay

For our first time using Vrbo, we found the experience easy and fun. Patricia’s Place on Clear Lake was a great place! We loved the dock and kayaks - we spent hours on the lake. The cabin itself was fine, but it needs new beds.

Hi Richard Thank you for your review. It was a pleasure hosting you and your family. I have never had a negative review about the beds at the cottage! The mattresses are fairly new and are protected. I have actually had reviews that they were very comfortable. My only complaint was that you did not put back the kayaks and canoe as they were found and I had to get help to move them as I can not physically do this on my own.

A wonderful week!

We enjoyed our peaceful fall stay! We appreciated being close to the Torrance Barrens for walking and star gazing and Gravenhurst for the market and Steamer tour. The cottage is just as advertised and the lake was great for swimming and kayaking. The loved the haunting sound of the passing train which was evocative of many Lightfoot songs and Canadian folklore!

Cathy is a wonderful host and communicated all the details of our family vacation on beautiful Clear Lake in Muskoka. Cathy was always available for any questions and responded quickly to all my inquiries. The cottage is ideal for a family with 3 large bedrooms and now has a dishwasher which was a unexpected but delightful surprise. Highly recommended host and cottage for a hassle free family retreat on a Muskoka Lake.

Cutest, comfiest, no improvements to recommend

From the coziness of the rooms to the beauty of the lake, this location is a hit. Has all you could need, even fantastic wifi. Loved the dock (morning coffee, tanning and fishing). The lake is beautiful and calm. Kayaking and canoeing were so nice. And then fires at night topped it all off. Will make this our regular getaway. Loved it. Myself and kids all felt the same.

Nice place on the outside lovely property as per the inside well lets start first thing was finding the pillow the had blood all over then going to bed and waking up with bug bites all over my arms that wasn't much fun oh ya that's the smoke alarm hanging by the wires and if you want a good night sleep make sure to bring ear plugs as there is a train that's less then a km away that runs all hours of the night BLOWING IT'S HORN

I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay. As I mentioned to you in my communications with you, the smoke detector was always showing the green light (indicating it was working at all times) even though it had only fallen off the mounting bracket. This has been corrected. Even though you are noting bug bites after waking up your inference of bed bugs is unsubstantiated and the Pharmacist you attended to could not qualify what they were. I did note to you, and you were fully aware, that the mattresses are covered by mattress covers. You could have received bites outside of the dwelling. The mattresses, couches, rugs etc have all been inspected and passed. The pillow on the couch did not have blood "all over" but yes there were spots of blood which have since been cleaned. If you had google mapped the area you would have seen the train tracks in the proximity of the cottage. I understand that it can be an annoyance when the trains blow their horn but never has anyone else complained. You decided to leave early at your discretion solely which was unfortunate. The cottage has numerous positive experiences from past guests which serve as a testament to the cottage property's quality and enjoyment. Best wishes

Excellent Vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation. It is a lovely cottage, spacious, well equipped and located on a beautiful property on the lakefront. We enjoyed all of the many ammenities provided. Cathy was an excellent host. She was very personable, friendly and extremely helpful to ensure that our needs were met. We had an excellent experience and would not hesitate to recommend this cottage for rental. It was a great get-away vacation.

Beautiful place inside and out.

Inside was very clean and spacious and beds were comfortable. Very nice windows that provide a great view of the lake and allow for nice breeze. Lake was very clear water - great for swimming and easy access to the water from the dock. Great fun with kayaks and canoe. I would definitely go again
