However, the listing clearly notes there is no air-conditioning, as the apartment is designed to make the most of the beautiful sea breeze and coastal climate. There are two large ranch sliders, wide-opening windows, and two fans provided for guest comfort, most guests love the light, open design and natural airflow, which is part of the charm of staying so close to the ocean. The apartment has just been fully renovated to a high standard and offers stunning sea views that guests consistently rave about. Running air-conditioning all day and night would not only raise the nightly rate for guests considerably but also have a negative environmental impact, which is why we’ve chosen a sustainable design that embraces the natural beauty of Doubtless Bay and allows guests to truly connect with the coastal environment. It’s also worth noting that being by the ocean, insects are rarely an issue, there aren’t “swarms” waiting to come in. Most guests enjoy opening the windows and doors to let in the fresh sea air and the soothing sound of the waves. Some people will always look for what’s wrong instead of what’s right, but we’re grateful for the many guests who appreciate the comfort, care, and coastal charm that make this apartment such a special and memorable place to stay.
