We're particularly sorry about the ants in the kettle and the condition of the BBQ. These are certainly not the standards we aim to maintain. Most guests leave the BBQ clean after use, but we also inspect it between stays, and we apologise that this was missed. We do wish you had contacted us during your stay, as we would have been more than happy to assist immediately by replacing the kettle, cleaning the BBQ, or addressing any other concerns. We always encourage guests to reach out so we have the opportunity to resolve issues as quickly as possible. Our cottage is advertised as a cosy, pet-friendly accommodation , and the amenities—including the kitchenette and bathroom facilities—are described in the listing so guests know what to expect before booking.
