Summary:
It's ALL about LOCATION at this cute coastal cottage with unobstructed views of the ocean! This comfortable and classy beach home boasts an open airy floor plan,  master bedroom with a King bed and windows galore!  The light and bright kitchen has granite counter tops and plenty of cabinet space to make meals in a relaxed open setting. This is beach living at it's finest!

The Space:
SLEEP/BATH ARRANGEMENT:
- Master with king bed (sleeps 2)
- 2nd bedroom with queen bed and twin over twin bunks(sleeps up to 4)
- Shared full bath with shower near bedrooms
- Plus outdoor shower for sand and sea rinse-off

Other Features/Amenities Included: large decks/patio (some portions covered), charcoal grill, outdoor shower, ceiling fans throughout inside, dog-friendly, Internet/WIFI, luxury hotel bedding and towels, stackable washer and dryer plus guest comforts of welcome kit.

Guest Access:
EASY CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT: It's easy to stay with us and secure too! Access the home electronically at 4pm on the date of your arrival with your unique lock code that we specifically give only to you via text and email. Your code is live from 4pm on your arrival date until 11am on the date of your departure.

The Neighborhood:
TREASURE ISLAND:
Stop by the nearby Blue Water Bar & Grill for lunch or utilize their convenience store to snag some basic supplies and beverages, fill your bait bucket and/or rent a golf cart. Enjoy the Gulfside's uncrowded pedestrian beach (no cars allowed for 300 yards but golf carts welcomed) where you can setup your group's spot for the day on the beach to build sandcastles, jump in the surf, find unique shells and sand dollars, boogie board, shore & surf fish and build an evening bonfire. Or if preferred, utilize the available launch for your boat or fishing pier on the bayside. So much to do so little time!

Getting Around:
San Luis Pass and Treasure Island have been known all over the United States for being a saltwater fishing hotspot and the most amazing sunrises & sunsets! It is 15 mins from Surfside and across the bridge from Galveston's west end and only about 25-30 mins to the heart of Galveston Island's activities. Most people come to the area to spend quality 'non-commercialized" the with family, extended family, and friends!

All photos, amenities, calendar, and rates are 100% accurate to the best of our knowledge. We ensure our homes are fully and professionally cleaned after each guest stay guaranteeing your stay is nothing short of spectacular. In addition, all of our homes feature luxury hotel-quality/high thread count on all sheets, bedding, and bath towels. When you rent a 979 VPS home, you'll also receive the 'comforts of home' starter kit of shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, toilet paper and paper towels, dishwasher and clothes washer pods. We want your stay to be as easy as you do, and we make every effort to delight.

DOG-FRIENDLY:
Up to 2 well-behaved dogs considered, subject to approval and a non-refundable pet fee ($125 for 1 dog, extra $75 for 2) per stay.

WIFI/TV SERVICE:
Our properties include WIFI/Internet and TV service for your streaming services. Due to our location (Island living is a whole other way of life), service may be unpredictable or spotty, and repair times can be delayed. While we will do everything we can to ensure these items are in good working order before your arrival, please note, these services may not be as consistent as they are in your area. So grab your favorite people, ditch the electronics, and spend the day at our beautiful beaches!

979 VACATION PROPERTY SERVICES:
All rental homes follow local and state tax rules. Reservations may be booked up to 365 days in advance of check-in. Please send inquiry and details if your stay is more than a year out as rates and availability may not be updated. Each reservation includes applicable taxes, a cleaning fee, $1M liability protection and $10K damage insurance - No Security Deposit Required!

CANCELLATION POLICY:
For any new reservation, you may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund. Some exceptions may apply for last-minute reservations.

After that, cancel at least 30 days before your check-in and receive a refund in your original form of payment less the booking fee.

Reservations made on 3rd party channels such as Airbnb, VRBO, TripAdvisor, etc may be subject to their terms and conditions which may be different than 979's. Please reference the site where you originally reserved your stay.

Great Neighborhood and SO CLOSE to the Water!
Overall, it was great! The house felt a bit older to me than the pictures depicted, but that is expected with a house so close to the water. The AC did not work as well as we had hoped, so it felt like the sheets were wet all night. I felt very safe in that neighborhood. The food trucks across the highway were absolutely amazing!! I would definitely stay there again. If you are afraid of large crashing waves coming close to the house, then stay somewhere else LOL

Impromptu stay
Thought we were getting a quiet beach neighborhood. I know homeowners not responsible but there was dump trucks and grading for over 12 hours Saturday. Lots of traffic and it was dead end street without the beach access, so I am not sure why so much traffic. House was dirty. It has ants. We didn’t have water for almost 2 hours when we got there only reason we knew was plumber was there. Husband had to turn the water back on. Only had 1 flat baking pan. Every dish I pulled out of cabinet was dirty. The broom they left needed to be thrown away. I had to wipe kitchen cabinets and stove off they were gross.

Spectacular Oceanfront view
This home was so clean with all the accommodations available. The view were spectacular. It was a short walk to go the beachy area but you could stay by the rocks as well. I would definitely stay here again.

Heaven
It was a little slice of Heaven for us, even with the wind keeping us inside. I love that the water was right in front of the house. At times, I could feel the spray off the rocks that lined the pavement.
