We try to ensure everyone is aware by posting the pictures there are steps getting to the door. This is not the place for mobility limited persons but someone interested in experiencing the unique location, upscale kitchen and design in total privacy!

We are delighted to hear that you found the interior of the home comfortable! We were confused by your description using the words minimally furnished as we have made every effort to provide cozy, inviting and visually appealing furnishings and amenities exactly as shown in the photographs on the home listing. In regards to the stairs, we clearly state that this home is only suited to active and fit adults and only accessible by flights of stairs. In the check in instructions you received we gave you precise instructions to both the upper space for one vehicle and the 2 spaces below the home. We feel that we do provide well lit and ample parking for the Treehouse that is common to other homes here in Highlands.

Unfortunately it did rain quite a lot during your stay and I’m so sorry you didn’t get to use the fire-pit! It is an amazing feature of Mountain Laurel Treehouse! I’m glad you still enjoyed your stay! We believe the parking is adequate and there are lights and reflectors to help guide you. We have also done our best to light up the stairs and keep them squeaky clean for safety! We do hope you can try us out again when the forecast is brighter!

We appreciate your review and we are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. We always strive for a 5 star experience. The house is close to town and near one of the main entry points and with it being our leaf season there is certainly more traffic. Normally, there are plenty of quieter times to enjoy the porch or fire pit. We have had our cleaners do an extra check for any musty odors and run the HVAC to insure the house is at normal humidity levels.

In reviewing our records I see that I sent out several emails to assist with changing your dates and then reached out to you on VRBO messenger to move your dates when I hadn’t received a response. VRBO doesn’t assist guests with moving stays or cancellations after the booking is complete, I handle those myself. If my communications weren’t received to your email my apologies. I make communication a top priority and my guests are very important. Again I do apologize that Prime isn’t available on this television. The home is advertised and offers premium cable subscription with 8 premium sports channels and the availability to cast your device to watch your own programs. I know it was very cold here during your stay and many central heat units were having difficulty keeping up with the high demand and I’m glad to hear the baseboard unit gave you the extra warmth needed to be comfortable! Carey, I am glad you enjoyed your stay. There is a parking area at the bottom. This house is not appropriate for those with mobility issues. This summer was one of rainiest seasons on record. We have pressured washed the steps and with dry days we are resealing with grit. Unfortunately with the rain and non stop guests, we’ve been unable to add this to the steps. We have added strips.

Carol, thank you for your review. We value any constructive words to help us improve. We were actually caught off guard of the pressure washers being there. They were not scheduled that day and I am afraid perhaps our response towards you was more of surprise and trying to figure out how to resolve this. We work very hard to be responsive to our guests. Holly is the warmest and definitely beloved property manager. I know She immediately came over, stopped the pressure washing, waited for you to arrive and helped you get down the stairs. As far as the other comments, I am not sure how to respond. The property gets great reviews, it is beautifully decorated and the pictures are of the property. It is one of our properties with the most repeat guests. I am very sorry it didn’t meet your expectations.
