Eco Garden Retreat was built using materials salvaged from the Historic Millfield Bridge, and features cozy indoor spaces for relaxing plus a unique outdoor entertaining space, complete with fireplace. The landscaped gardens invite you for a leisurely stroll and at the rear you'll enjoy an array of relaxing features including a bubbly spa, so gather your crew for a stay that's tranquil and unique with all the Hunter Valley offers within reach.
The minimum booking rate is based on up to 6 guests.

A perfect place for our adult family. Very clean. Would have been good to have some basic supplies on arrival such as milk, but otherwise I highly recommend.

Lovely Eclectic House

Eco Retreat is a very cool house with lots of character! Great place to hanger out with friends. Lots of space and beautifully decorated. A great place to explore the Hunter from! It is close to neighbours so be mindful if you are going with a large group! 😊

Lovely stay

This is a lovely house with more than enough room for all 6 adults and 1 infant. The house itself was clean and tidy, but the gardens were very leafy and quite messy when we stayed. The house is well very well equipped. The location is within a small suburb style town with not much going on. We had to drive to Wollombi and surrounding towns to see things, but it was still a good base. Great communication with property managers and seamless check in/out.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The garden could do with a tidy as it’s getting overgrown.

eco garden mosquito heaven

the place was beautiful but I don't recommend stay there for the following reasons 1. No fly screen on window or doors. The front and back door are keypad and dont stay unlocked. We kept the door open to avoid having to keep entering the code. There were hundreds of mosquitoes in the bedrooms by the time we ready for bed. There was no bug spray. We thought of vacuuming them but of course the cordless vacuum wasnt charged. took us hours to swat them with a towel to kill them so we could sleep 2. the showers didn't have screens and the bathroom doors didnt lock. Water went ever where and made the bathroom floor slippery. No mop 3. there was no extra blankets and the night were cold. There was electric blankets but not everyone like those. 4. The second night, there was algae gunk on top of the water in the spa which it wasnt chemically treated properly 5. Spa was in the front yard, no lighting so it was a hazard to walk the path. 6. there is a bbq which they expect you to clean after use but dont provide and bbq utensils or brush. 7. One of the showers, the hot water didnt work properly

Cozy and comfortable

Lovely stay, shame about the rain. Spa wasn't as private as expected but due to weather, wasn't really used anyway. Had a great time in a lovely house.

Lovely home!!

The stay was perfect - we had all the amenities we needed, and the house was so large, spacious, welcoming!! The only downside was the main bathroom had a bit of a drainage problem, so we just had to make sure we had towels strategically placed. Also it’s probably best for 3 couples, or 6 people who don’t mind sharing beds, because the sofa bed was right near the front doors. But aside from that, no complaints! Super beautiful home!! So stylish.

Exceeded expectations

This place is absolutely beautiful. The photos don’t do it justice. My friends and I had an amazing stay and will definitely be back! Could easily spend a week in this beautiful property. The owners have thought of everything and I was super sad when I had to leave!
