Lakeview Farm: A paradise in the Eastern Townships

A little paradise in the picturesque Eastern Townships, home of endless cycling trails, clear lakes, boutique fromageries, craft brewers, wineries, and countless year-round activities. The home sits on 20 acres of private property with three ponds, (one visible in the picture) trails, a variety of flora and fauna, and breathtaking sunsets. It is 10 mins to Stanstead (Vermont border), 10 mins to Ayer's Cliff, and 20 mins to North Hatley. The golf course is 2 mins away!

IMPORTANT: The rental unit is an apartment, it not the entire building. According to Vrbo policy, this is NOT a shared space, as there is nothing shared indoors (e.g., the apartment has a private entrance and locked doors, fully independent interior amenities) or outdoor spaces (e.g., the apartment has private BBQ, outdoor dining table, fireplace and outdoor seatings).

This property served as a great home base from which to explore the Eastern Townships. The beds were very comfy. The hosts were thoughtful (thank you for the pie and wine to welcome us!), and provided a great dinner recommendation.

Quiet, beautiful location! Visited in winter, must be equally gorgeous in other seasons. Fully equipped kitchen, super comfortable beds, bird watching right out the window! Our dog enjoyed trotting up and down the drive to the house. Responsive hosts, Shawn's love for the property and area are obvious when speaking with him. Thank you Shawn and Manuela for introducing us to a new wine favourite!

Lovely apartment

We stayed for 3 days and were able to visit many places around including Nordic Spa Station, different cheese producing places, Santer Glace skating place etc which are 15 to 30 minutes away. It has good kitchen and bathroom amenities and also pet friendly. It’s quiet and peaceful.

Shawn and Manuela were great hosts.. Place is nicely appointed, stocked and all the condiments you'd need.. just show up with what you need for base food and they have everything else. Wine and a pie, well.. really nice after a very long day.. thank you!

Lovely rural stay!

We enjoyed this clean, neat and pleasant country stay. The hosts are very caring. The quiet with the small lakes is peaceful and the goose family is completely entertaining. A special treat was picking our own tomatoes, cucumbers and herbs from the garden. Sunshine bakery in Stanstead is wonderful! Linda and Keith, Burlington, VT

Cozy place

It had everything we needed, it was clean, owners were very friendly and helpful. It has a rustic charm that suited our family. Liked the fact that we were far away from the road for our dog. The bird life is incredible with song birds, waterfowl and birds of prey. Ponds are a nice feature as well. Owners grow veggies and allow guests to use some. Thanks Shawn and Manuela

The host was very welcoming!The unit was cold and took quite a while to warm up.The kitchen was sufficiently set up but the floor in front of the kitchen sink had a large sink hole.The driveway was icy, my husband fell on the way to the car.

Un petit coin de paradis

Ma famille et moi avions passé un magnifique séjour dans ce petit coin de paradis, vue extraordinaire,, calme assuré mais ce qui a rendu notre séjour encore plus agréable ce sont les hôtes, Manuela et Shawn sont serviables, gentils et à l'écoute, ils avaient répondu quasi instantanément à nos question. En plus de la belle vue, le chalet était propre et contenait tout ce dont on a besoin, les lits étaient très confortable et la température aussi. Merci beaucoup, Manuela et Shawn d'avoir partagé avec nous votre coin de paradis. Une petite suggestion: Peut-être ajouter un spa serait un atout qui sera apprécié des petits et les grands🥰. Bonne chance pour vos projets 👍⭐️

Grand logement, bon prix. Très bonne communication avec le propriétaire et belle attention à notre arrivée. Excellent emplacement pour accès aux sites touristiques en Estrie. Divan et matelas pas confortables, ils ont de l’âge. Extérieur intéressant et invitant, cependant, pas agréable en raison des excréments des bernaches.

Lovely place to stay!

The property was beautiful and the owners were very kind and generous. Our dog loved the large amount of outdoor space and definitely did a lot of zoomies when we got there. My only feedback would be that it is not clear from the listing that the owners live in the house and that you are staying in their basement apartment. We didn't find this out until after we'd requested the space. Maybe having that info in the listing would be helpful as we were expecting a fully private space (the apartment is totally separate from the house though and was still lovely!).
