Tucked away at the very top of the charming village of Meillerie, the little Greys chalet offers a magical view of Lake Geneva. It stands on the edge of an alpine forest, where the first rays of morning sunlight filter through the trees and settle on the grass glistening with dew and on the wooden and stone chalet. It is in this cozy retreat that you’ll stay and fully enjoy the peace and quiet of nature, close to the lake and hiking trails. The view and the charm of the place will leave you in awe.
Accommodation
The chalet is the highest-elevation home in a small lakeside village, close to the lake and the hiking trails that wind through the forest. You can walk to the lake to stroll along the water’s edge or swim at the beach, and you can also stretch your legs by hiking on the many trails through the forest.
The secluded location is at the end of a very quiet street with very little traffic. This property will meet your expectations if you’re looking for a unique place to stay in a quiet, natural setting and want to enjoy an unobstructed, panoramic view of the lake.

A short path (about 6–7 meters) leads to the cottage from the road, where you can park your car. This sloped path may pose a challenge for elderly guests or those with mobility issues. An entrance leading to the first floor (bedrooms and bathroom) is located at the end of this short path. A small staircase then leads to the terrace, the balcony, and the chalet’s main entrance.

The main entrance on the first floor opens onto a kitchen (refrigerator, oven, gas stove, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker) that opens onto the living room (sofa bed, flat-screen TV), as well as a mezzanine that serves as a bedroom with one double bed (and 2 small skylights offering the best view of the lake in the entire cottage). A staircase leads down to the first floor, where you’ll find a bathroom (sink, bathtub, washing machine) and two bedrooms separated by a wooden partition and both covered by a curtain (one bedroom with one double bed and the other with two single beds). The chalet’s layout and design help keep the ground-floor bedrooms cool even in the height of summer.

The chalet therefore has 3 bedrooms and features 2 double beds, 1 single bed, and a sofa bed that sleeps 2 people. However, for comfort reasons, the chalet is suitable for a maximum of 5 people: due to its layout, size (80 m² of floor space), hot water supply (300-liter tank), and furnishings. The property has a bathtub (and a non-adjacent lake) but no shower.
Guest access
The embankment and the shed located behind the chalet are not accessible. Neither is the garage. We accept no liability for any accidents occurring inside or outside the chalet.
Additional notes
This small chalet is ideal if you’re looking for rustic, unique accommodations in a natural setting. You’ll be on the edge of the forest, surrounded by trees, in a very quiet, peaceful location with a panoramic view of Lake Geneva.
