Quintessential Family Bach at Mahanga Beach

This family friendly Bach has been our home away from home for many years and we are now opening up for all to enjoy. Located less than a minute walk to Mahanga beach that offers a stunning, safe beach that goes for miles. Fantastic for swimming, surfing, fishing, diving, boating and romantic beach walks.

Our Bach has 2 bedrooms that sleeps 9 comfortably. With an inviting living room with TV, lots of games and puzzles to keep the kids entertained, stereo and books galore. Dining room with a huge table for family and friends to gather around for family dinners. And a large deck with shade sail and outdoor BBQ area that is the perfect space to unwind with a wine or beer at the end of the day.

Children and pets are welcome. We just ask that the pets not be allowed on couches or beds and please clean up after your animals. Property is fully fenced. Plenty of space for parking cars and boats. 10 minutes from Mahia that has a golf course, cafe, pub and fish and chip shop. 20 minutes to Morere hot springs and bush walks. 1 hour from Gisborne.

* Linen, bath towels and tea towels provided, please bring own beach towels.

* $70 Cleaning fee.

* No events and please respect our neighbours.

We loved our stay here (again!) The bach has everything we need and the short walk to the beach is ideal. Lots of space to run around outside for the kids, and well fenced too. Looking forward to next year’s stay!

Perfect bach for a beach holiday

Thank you so much! We loved the bach, it had everything we needed and was nice and close to the beach. Big lawn was great for the kids to run around on and well fenced too. Looking forward to our next stay there!

Hidden gem!

Highly recommend! Such a great last minute escape. Had everything we needed. Dog and kids had a blast and access to the beach is amazing! We definitely want to come back, thank you for sharing your family holiday destination.

Getaway

Quiet location with no pedestrian traffic, beach a stone's throw away. Bach has all you require to have a comfortable stay. As with all tank water houses the water pressure for a shower is not great. Overall it was a great stay with a relaxing atmosphere and would happily stay again. barbecue or cook indoors

Just beautiful, homely and spacious.

Our family of 9 had an amazing time, even though the weather was not on our side. There was everything we needed and more. A great way to spend Easter weekend with my whanau. Great communication with the host, we will definitely be back some day in the future.💕 Thanks Pam.

Mahanga Gem

As a large family of three generations this bach was ideal for us, as were able to pitch tents to allow separation for our teenagers, and it was well fenced for our dog. The bach was very well appointed, and with a couple of minor additions would be rated as excellent. Communication was great before and after, and we all had a wonderful time in a beautiful part of the world!

Totally brill experience.

Awesome batch with plenty of space and areas to spread out. Bedrooms spacious and everything clean and fresh. Kitchen has everything yould need for simple to flash as cooking. The first day came with rain but then I think our batch payment was excepted and we then instantly had sun and amazing weather 🤩 you won’t be disappointed. Happy holidays everyone.

We absolutely loved staying here! It felt like an actual batch! There was also beautiful flowers there so I really felt treated. Everything you needed was there. We will absolutely be re booking !!! I can 100 percent recommend. The minute we walked in and opened up the doors we felt so peaceful and on holiday

Awesome Mahia Bach

This is a beautiful bach in a stunning part of the country. Its a few minutes across to Mahia Beach and the feeling is amazing. The bach was well equipped and cosy with more than enough space in a quiet cup-de-sac. The owner was absolutely amazing and so helpful. Highly recommend this home away from home!

Relaxed and quiet getaway

Pam was easy to deal with and very accommodating. The property and neighbourhood was lovely and very peaceful. House was cosy, clean and had everything we needed. Would love to stay again.
