Modern apartment with everything you need for a short or long stay. Great security! Location is near supermarkets, restaurants, bars, transportation, etc. Best beaches (Ipenema and Copacabana) The host and staff were very respectful and responsive. Several gyms near by. We will return when we are in Rio de Janeiro!

Great Location for Family Visit

This is a large apt, super close to the beach, restaurants, grocery store, metro. Very roomy (4beds/4baths) for family visiti. Highly recommended.

Great place to stay in Rio

If traveling to Rio with family or friends this is the place to stay. A beautiful penthouse apartment located in a great area in Rio. The building is quiet with 24 hour security. All 4 bedrooms are good size each with their own bathroom. Each room, including the common area, has its own air conditioner, so everyone can individualize their comfort. A full kitchen is available if interested in preparing your meals. And the deck with jacuzzi is a great place to relax. The internet works very well. The neighborhood is safe with Ipanema Beach only 5 minute walk, and Copacabana Beach is a 10 minute walk. There are great restaurants in the area. Chris (the host) is very easy to work with. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Ipanema Location

Very nice unit with secure entry, modern interior, very clean, partial views. Only issues were the AC remote in one of the bedrooms did not work so we had to share another room's remote, and dead batteries on the TV remote.

Perfect stay!

To be able to see Ipanema Beach from the balcony was a treat! Chris was super accommodating and very easy to communicate with. We loved the location; the restaurant down the street was delicious and the little market was convenient. Our little bedroom had a toilet in the shower… odd, but it worked! Loved being able to have everybody gather together.

perfect location

as no, D., the bedroom does have four bedrooms and four baths, three of the bass are en suite. The washer and dryer were excellent. The air conditioning was perfectly working. The wraparound deck provided a place to sit out and relax, and have dinner a couple of evenings. Internet was strong, mini streaming services were provided on the televisions. I would definitely come back here again, and in fact, we plan to return next November with more family members. The apartment size is very very very generous for Rio. in 20+ years of visiting Rio, I've always stayed in the Yma neighborhood, but we have never needed, or had an apartment as large as this, but in bringing three generations, with a couple of children, this apartment was a great fine. Great place to stay in Rio

Nice, clean and spacious apartment on a great street. The building has 24 hour porter service and is very easy to access. It is a residential building and we felt very safe. The area has lots of restaurants and shops close by. The metro is also very near the apartment. The beach was a short five minute walk. It is very close to Arpoador, a great place to watch the sunrise and sunset. The apartment is very close to both Copacabana and Ipanema. The owner was very responsive and there is a person who takes care of the apartment on site who can help if needed. We loved our stay there!

Spacious, clean, good location

We’ve been traveling to Rio for 30+ years and usually stay at my mother in laws, however with a new addition to the family, we needed more space and this place was perfect! Close to the beach, grocery store and on a nice quiet street, right between Ipanema and Copacabana beaches, this location was great!

I would definitely stay here again. The communication with the manager was very timely. Super safe place to stay - the penthouse is secure with a 24 hour porter and there’s cops everywhere. Super close to the Tuesday market. Beds super comfortable. Each room has its own air conditioner. Bathrooms are spacious. A brief walk to the beach.

Excelente apartamento e localização.

O apartamento é ótimo, limpo e exatamente como descrito. O prédio é um pouco antigo, mas o apartamento está totalmente reformado e moderno. A localização é excelente, tudo que precisamos dar para ir a pé. Bem perto da praia. O Host e o dono foram bastante amigáveis. Não tenho nada a reclamar, e voltaria a este apartamento em uma próxima oportunidade.

O imóvel é ainda melhor que o que foi anunciado, super confortável, cozinha exvelente. Está localizado perto da praia, tem tudo perto (mercados, bares, conercio, metro...), ótimo local. E os proprietários são muito atenciosos, respondem super rápido. Toda a minha familia adorou. Recomendamos.

a pleasant and comfortable apartment very well situated between the Ipanema Beach and several shops.

My family (husband and four children) and I spent two fabulous weeks at this apartment in Ipanema. It's cozy, spacious and nicely furnished. The rooms are nice and the beds comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped, we missed nothing. All is set there. The owners are nice and have been helpful since our hiring the apartment. An absolute enjoyable stay. Beautiful Safe Penthouse Condo in Ipanema

My brother and I stayed in this condo for 1 week while visiting Rio de Janerio. This was my first time visiting Brazil and my brother's third. Location: This Penthouse was located about one block away from the beach (~1-2 minute walk). There is a 24-hr supermarket called Zona Sol that is located at the end of the street. This was extremely convenient and we shopped about everyday because it was so close, even after midnight on a lot nights. There are plenty of restaurants situated around the Penthouse that one week will not be enough time to eat at each them. There is a Starbucks and Banks close enough by that walking during the day alone was not an issue at all. It appeared to be an extremely safe area with a lot of similarities to a city in the United States. For what we were there to do, it was the perfect location. NOTE: We arrived here from the airport in about 30 minutes on a Thursday morning/noon. When we left at 5PM the following Thursday it took us over 2 hours due to rush traffic and rain. Inside the Penthouse: When we arrived Edivania, the caretaker located in the premise, was preparing the apartment for us. She did an excellent job and the place was left to us extremely clean, with clean sheets and dishes. There was a dishwasher and washer and dryer combo unit located in the apartment, which was great to have. There is one bedroom with a connected bathroom located next to the kitchen. This bedroom is separated from the other 3 rooms making it very private from the rest of the house. The hottub worked well and one bedroom has sliding doors with access to the porch. Each room has a mini-split AC and those kept the rooms very cool. There is a porter located in the garage at the bottom of the building. There is also another entrance that works with a key. When you first arrive the porter will need to open the door so that you take the elevator to the 10th floor. This was a wonderful place to stay and I would stay there again. It was probably a little too big for 2 people but it was still a great deal compared to other 2 bedroom places I searched on HomeAway for this time period.

I fell in love with the Marvellous City on my first trip to Rio in 2002 and have vacationed there as much as I could ever since, finding something new and wonderful on each trip. My last trip was spent in many joyful hours cycling Rio's extensive cycle paths and discovery hidden gems of bars and restaurants in the cobbled streets around Jardim Botanico.

I renovated this penthouse completely from ceiling to floor with a view to living in it myself so it's a standard rarely found in rental properties. You come to Rio for the weather so outdoor space when you arrive back from a hard day on the beach is just perfect for a well deserved beverage to set you up for an evening in or before a night out. And when if comes to going out, there's no need to queue for a bathroom with 4 to choose from.

Perfect for family vacations with outside space, a jacuzzi, its own palm tree and all amenities and the beach on its doorstep.
