Cosy cottage by the seaside

Situated right in the heart of McLeods bay this lovely cottage awaits your arrival.
Fully self-contained and directly opposite the beach. You can enjoy the views (including stunning sunsets!) from your deck.
There is plenty of room to park your boat or jet ski and for kids and pets to play safely.
Nestled between majestic Mt Manaia and the expansive Whangarei Harbour, McLeod's Bay is the perfect holiday playground but is also close enough to Whangarei City Centre if you need to stay over while visiting for work.
Provided is:
• Excellent Mobile coverage within the cottage.
• Complimentary unlimited WIFI (excellent reception).
• Complimentary Netflix's
• Use of a BBQ
2 Kayaks with life jackets to explore the calm bays/coves/nearby marine reserve.
• On-site parking (including space for boat parking).

The cottage is also close to eateries including The Deck Cafe and McLeod Bay Takeaway(2 minutes’ drive). The Parua Bay Tavern (10 minutes’ drive), 2 cafes (Indian and Pizza), mini supermarket, gym, bakery, bottle store, and hairdresser (6 minutes’ drive away).

Enjoy the beautiful surrounding reserves and walks.
Relaxed safe swimming right out front or take a 10min drive to stunning Ocean Beach for surfing and swimming in the waves.
Whangarei Harbour is renowned for fishing and diving with Whangarei Heads having beautiful East Coast beaches, and is the gateway to off shore Islands.

There are 2 bedrooms, 1 queen bed in the house, and in the sleepout a double bed and a single bed.

We had such an amazing time away at this little hidden gem of a property! It was just what we needed, peaceful and homely with the most fantastic view. We brought our two dogs along too. It had an awesome fully fenced yard for them to run around in, and they loved lounging on the deck almost as much as we did! Can’t recommend this place enough

What a lovely little bach! All the amenities we needed. It’s pet friendly, so my dog and I had a thoroughly enjoyable week at McLeod Bay - both enjoying our walks and getting more familiar with the area. Robyn our host was so helpful and quick to get back to me. Would definitely go back.

Perfect location, gorgeous little bach that's got everything you need, so relaxing looking out at the sea, close to the amazing walks, really comfy place, lovely and warm (here in winter), we absolutely LOVED our short stay here. The McLeod Bay fish & chips were also superb.

Ideal spot for a holiday in the Whangārei area.

We spent our last two nights here of our eight night road trip of Northland. It was so idyllic that we spent the second (and last) day staying local to McLeod Bay rather than going back to Whangārei township. This is a true bach with lots of little extras. Very peaceful and comfortable. Eateries close by. Stunning scenery. Would be a great place for families to holiday (we are an older couple).

Fabulous stay!

Loved exploring the local area. Wonderful walks with our wee @ both Ocean Beach & Pataua North & Pataua South Beach.The cottage was lovely & clean, light & sunny with everything we needed. Gorgeous sea views & we enjoyed dining on the front deck. My woofee also loved the secure fenced garden to play in. Many thanks Robyn & Peter - we will be back Kindest Bex & co

Great start to a honeymoon!

My wife and I started our honeymoon at this cosy cottage and it hit all the marks for us. Beautiful view right out the front door, lovely living space, wonderful area, and very clean. We will be recommending the cottage to everyone we know!

Cosy cottage by the seaside.

We stayed here for a week and it was perfect!! It had everything we needed and was exceptionally clean and tidy. The location was great being just across the road from the beach, a 5 minute drive to launch our boat and plenty of walks close by to enjoy. The host was lovely to deal with and always got back to us promptly. We loved our stay here and hopefully will be able to return in the future!!

Charming cottage in great location

We had a lovely and restful stay in this wonderful cottage just across from the water. Everything was very well set up and communication was excellent. Slept very soundly due to quiet location and comfortable bed. Didnt use the sleepout but it looked nice. Appreciated that we could take our dog and that the property was fully fenced.

Well Worth A Visit

Fantastic space right on the beachfront. Incredible sunsets both nights that we stayed, and an amazing deck to enjoy them from. Great facilities. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. I want to visit again, and again, again.

A pleasant few days away

Lovely wee property. It was good to come back up North for a couple of days away and have this cottage to come back to in the evenings. Nice peaceful location. Lovely walks. We were very happy with our stay.

My husband and I are both born and raised in Northland. My family have been coming to McLeods bay for family holidays since I was a young child so it just seemed like a natural choice for us to purchase the cottage when it came up for sale. We have spent many wonderful holiday's here with our children and love sharing it with other friends and families.
