This stylish high-rise apartment is right in the centre of the action in Darlinghurst, but is so quiet and peaceful you wouldn't know you were there. Wake up to the sound of Kookaburras and enjoy brunch in one of the numerous local cafes.
It's perfect for a mature couple looking for a centrally located holiday base, but can accommodate up to two couples planning on enjoying Sydney's sights, nightlife and culture.

The building has a secluded outdoor heated pool and off-street underground parking.

This is our second home, so it is set up for us to live in with a fully equipped kitchen and kitchen supplies. You are welcome to enjoy it but please respect our property and our neighbours, who are lovely.

We live in a sub-tropical climate so bugs (flying cockroaches) do come inside occasionally. This is not an indication of an unclean or unhygienic house - it’s just Australia! Don’t leave rubbish out, dry the sinks and close the screen doors after dusk. If you do see one don’t panic, there are insect sprays in the cupboards under the kitchen sink.

Even though we had quite a delayed flight and arrived very late in the evening we were welcomed personally and shown all the important aspects of the apartment. The space is really thoughtfully laid out and everything you could need is there. The outside space with the views and the swimming pool are such a bonus and a welcome retreat after exploring the city and beaches all day. The apartment is really clean and the various amenities are all modern and work well. The location is brilliant, so close to buses and trains and so many great restaurants and cafes locally. The neighbourhood really is very friendly and welcoming. Thank you for such a wonderful visit. We shall be back.

Very cozy

Location is perfect. Easy to navigate around. David and Andrew have everything there to help with your stay. We were 2 couples traveling together, and were quite comfortable. We would highly recommend this vrbo

We loved Darlinghurst!

Great, secluded location in a moderately busy part of Sydney. David and Andrew met us at the apartment and gave us the tour. Their detailed booklet was super helpful and we enjoyed 3 of their restaurant picks. Would definitely stay there again.

Great neighborhood and great hosts

The apartment was really comfortable and very well located with a great view or the Opera House and surrounded with trees and singing birds.Darlinghurst is a very nice and quiet neighborhood with very good restaurants and bars. Our hosts David and Andrew greeted us upon our arrival and gave us very useful information on the neighborhood and Sydney in general. Overal, a very pleasant and relaxing stay.

Fantastic apartment

This apartment is wonderful. It has a magnificent view of the harbor close to the metro and is spacious in a quiet apartment building. There are good restaurants close by . If our travels bring us back to Sydney we would stay here again. The owner is great also.

The apartment was wonderful; spacious and clean. The views were spectacular. Location was great. Easy walking to restaurants, groceries, sights. It was just perfect.

The unit was lovely and great view shame the weather meant we didn’t use the balcony as much as we would have liked but great position and the heated floor in bathroom was a great touch. Enjoyed our stay.

Sweet location with fantastic views

This apartment was well laid out with fantastic views. Easy walking distance to local grocery, shops, restaurants and public transportation. Host was accommodating and check in was easy. The beds did creak somewhat and the linens could be updated but overall an enjoyable place!

Excellent Apartment

We stayed for five days and enjoyed everything about the apartment. It's in an excellent location - Darlinghurst is a really nice and vibrant neighborhood with lot's of shops and restaurants and King's Cross station is a short walk away.. The apartment is spacious and quiet with two balconies, one of which we spent a lot of time in, enjoying the views and the spacious outdoor experience. I highly recommend this Darlinghurst home away from home.

Felt like part of the neighborhood.

From initial booking to follow-up, communication with Andrew and David has been timely and always useful. It’s as if we were making arrangements from longtime friends. The property is conveniently located and easy walking distance to shops, cafes, and restaurants. The neighborhood is welcoming and we didn’t feel like tourists. The accommodations felt like home with all the amenities available. We would definitely return to Sydney and stay at this gem.

Great view, Great neighbourhood

We feel we lucked out here. Perfect temperature to be here, facing north and the sun pouring in almost all day, with views of the harbour and opera house.Fridge, stove, heater all worked great, beds were good and hot water came fast. They have all the utensils you would ever need. Two grocery stores and MANY restaurants within 5 min walk. We could live here for a month. 25 min walk downtown, or 8 min walk to transit. Darlinghurst strip 8-10 min away, Kings Cross 5 min, Paddington 15-20 min. Andrew and David are great communicators, responding quickly to any questions.

Excellent apartment

We enjoyed very much our stay, 25 nights. The apartment is large and comfortable. The two terraces are lovely with excellent views of the city skyline and the bay. There is a nice pool on site. The apartment is close to the tram and there are plenty of excellent restaurants in the area. The communications with David were very easy and the arrival as well. We highly recommend.

Great Location, View and Birds

We loved this apartment! It was everything and more. David and Andrew are great hosts, David was an excellent communicator in advance and Andrew met us and showed us around…a bottle of wine a basket of fruit…fresh cut flowers on the table! Fantastic. Sitting on the veranda every night and then watching the birds play in the morning…the Kookaburra was the best. Great food choices one block over on Victoria….easy walk to gardens, museums, Sydney Opera, ferry. Easy public transport. Safe and secure.

Perfect Accommodation with Stunning Views and Top Location

We had an amazing stay in this beautiful, modern, and spotlessly clean apartment. The view of Sydney is absolutely breathtaking – waking up to this scenery every morning was a true highlight! The location is unbeatable: peaceful yet central, with excellent public transport connections that make exploring the city incredibly easy. There are also plenty of fantastic restaurants nearby, offering something for every taste. The apartment itself is fully equipped, tastefully furnished, and leaves nothing to be desired. We were especially impressed by the well-maintained pool, which was a perfect place to relax. This accommodation made our trip to Sydney unforgettable – we would come back in a heartbeat! Absolutely Wonderful Flat in Impeccable Location

We were absolutely in love with this property. The Hosts have an upper floor unit with a really stunning view from the large terrace, which does not disappoint! There was absolutely everything you would need nearby, a short 5 min walk to the neighborhood supermarket, in the King's Cross station. Really REALLY good restaurants abound in the vicinity, and inside the unit, there was pretty much every useful items imaginable, from kitchen utensils to the in-unit washer and dryer. Thanks guys!!

Top Class Accommodation

This is a wonderful apartment. It is ideally located in Darlinghurst, central, secure and quiet, with excellent public transport connections to all parts of Sydney. The views to the harbour, including the Opera House to the north and the city to the west are superb, especially from the north facing balcony. The apartment is beautifully appointed, comfortable and spotless. The welcoming hosts met us on arrival and gave us a thorough introduction to the apartment and the area. We have visited Sydney many times and this apartment is the best we have ever stayed in. Highly recommended.

Spacious apartment with stunning views

Convenient to Kings Cross transit station and bus lines. Simple access from airport. No need for taxi or car rental. We walked to Hyde Park (1km), the Opera House (2.5km) and Circular Quay (2.5 km) on safe urban streets during the days to enjoy the beautiful daytime weather, and returned via easy transit options in the cooler temperatures after dark. Easy bus with no transfers to the beaches. Super helpful welcome notebook. Loved Chapter E for lunch and the grocery 2 blocks away. And our hosts supplied kitchen and bath basics making things easy from the first day! And the decks … jaw dropping views of a spectacular city!

Excellent choice

Andrew and David’s apartment was ideal for us. Great location, easy to get to from the airport by transit, near subway and buses, easy to walk downtown. Two balconies, one with a view to the harbour and opera house, one looking over the top of tall trees. Quieter than most city locations, even though it’s in a lively neighbourhood, since it’s in the middle of a block set back from main roads. No air conditioning required because there’s always a cross-breeze between the balconies and bedrooms. Grocery stores and restaurants minutes away. Kitchen well-stocked with spices, cooking oil etc. Great to have a pool on a hot day. Two keys make it easy to take separate trips. Responsive hosts. We look forward to staying there again!

Wonderful, Budget-Friendly Stay in Central Sydney Neighborhood -- with amazing deck!

We (28Fs) absolutely loved our stay at David's place in Darlinghurst. The apartment is very spacious for the price, with two bathrooms that made it easy for the group of us to all to get ready at the same time. The two bedrooms (1 queen bed and 1 double pull-out couch) fit the 3 of us easily for a comfortable sleep. The deck was by fair our favorite thing about the apartment-- It hosts a stunning view of the city, (peep the Opera House!), and it was spacious enough for all of us to enjoy breakfast outside together, and for me to do my morning yoga. The apartment was centrally-located near everything we wanted to see while in Sydney (we could walk to the Opera House, Botanical Gardens, wharfs, as well as plenty of trendy cafes, shops, restaurants). It's also just a block or so from the bus to Bondi Beach (~20 min ride) and near the King's Cross subway system as well, so transportation was a breeze. Check-in was seamless, and David was nice enough to let us keep our bags in the flat after check-out until our 9 pm flight back the US, saving us the hassle of lugging our bags to the beach with us. Our only complaint (if you can call it one!) is that there wasn't a shower curtain in the second bathroom, so water did tend to spray everywhere until you figured out where to best point the nozzle. Other than that minor detail, we had a perfect stay. Can't recommend this place and these hosts enough! Thanks David!
