Description:
Enjoy a classic coastal escape in this clean and comfortable two-story home located just a short walk from the sand and surf. Featuring three bedrooms, a loft, and two full baths, this thoughtfully designed retreat offers two large open decks, three screened porches, and a private second-floor master suite with a partial ocean view.

Ideal for families and small groups, the home includes spacious indoor and outdoor living areas, a well-equipped kitchen with adjacent dining space that seats six, and a cozy layout for relaxing after a day at the beach. Guests can opt to purchase Sea Colony recreation passes, granting access to world-class amenities including private beaches, 12 pools (2 indoor), tennis, fitness centers, and more.

Sleeping arrangements include one king bed and a trundle in the master suite, two twin beds in each of the other two bedrooms, and a trundle in the loft, sleeping up to eight guests comfortably.

The kitchen includes central air, microwave, toaster, blender, standard coffee maker, dishwasher, washer, dryer, and iron/board. Stay connected with high-speed Wi-Fi and enjoy entertainment on five cable TVs and two DVD players.

Outdoor amenities include an enclosed outdoor shower, gas grill, multiple screened porches, and open decks with comfortable seating. Two parking spaces are available; parking on grass or patio is not permitted.

This is a non-smoking home. The fireplace is not operational. Guests must be 25 years or older to rent. Saturday-to-Saturday and flexible bookings (3+ nights) are available. Linens and towels can be provided for $220. Additional fees and taxes may apply.

Optional Sea Colony recreation passes are available for $50 per person (ages 5 and up) and offer access to private beach areas, 12 heated pools (including 2 indoor), and top-rated tennis and fitness facilities. Sea Colony is ranked among the top 20 tennis camps in the world, with year-round programs, USTA tournaments, and clinics for all levels.

Located just south of downtown Bethany Beach, this home is part of Sea Colony – The Premier Family Beach and Tennis Community – offering a refined yet relaxed beach vacation experience.

What if I have to cancel?
In the event Guest requests cancellation of this Agreement for any reason, Broker will undertake reasonable efforts to re-rent the Property. Guest must make the request for cancellation in writing to the attention of Broker. If the Property is rented to a third party for the same amount, the gross rent will be returned to the defaulting Guest less 15% of the gross rent, plus a processing fee. If the Property is rented for less, Guest shall be responsible for the difference. If the Property is not rented to a third party, then the defaulting Guest will remain responsible for the entire rental amount.

A Memorable Family Vacation

It was also so accessible to the boardwalk in an easy walk. The many decks of the house gave us all some space and the kitchen had good tools and pots and pans. There was also an assortment of books and games which we also enjoyed. Check in and check out was seamless as well as the rented linens.I've rented from Wilgus before and will again, Thank you for a memorable family vacation.

Cozy Beach Stay

The house was pleasantly surprising, as we had never stayed there before. Our expectations were low, as we booked the house in late March, only after learning that the Sea Colony condo that we rented for years was unavailable due to a a fire. The house more than met our needs, as it was spacious and cozy. Extra sleeping space allowed additional family members to stay with us. The numerous outdoor seating areas gave us plenty of options to enjoy the outdoors either as a group or individually.We would stay there again but would like to see updated side and rear decking, as the old wooden boards are a splinter hazard. Also, lack of air conditioning in the two first-floor bedrooms made for extremely hot sleeping conditions. There was also a persistent musty/mildewy smell that was a bit off-putting.However, overall it was a very good experience and were happy with our stay.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location of this rental is it's best feature. Easy beach access and pleasant 10-min walk to "downtown" Bethany. House served it's purpose and overall was fine, however it's clear the owners don't give it the attention it needs. The deck and walkways need work and are dangerous for bare feet, the outdoor shower was gross, the shrubs were overgrown, and there was quite a bit of standing water around the home. Inside, things were slightly musty, the box fans were all covered in thick dust, and the floors left a black residue on ones feet (and on my crawling baby). The front facing screened porches are accessed through the bedrooms, inconvenient for night usage. We enjoyed ourselves at this home, however for the money spent would like a better product

The home is just a few houses away from the beach so a very short walk and it less than a half mile to downtown Bethany. You can get access to Sea Colony beaches, pools, gyms, and courts if for a fee. We usually stay in Sea Colony condos and decided to give a house a try. This one worked out perfectly for our family of seven. The house has a decent amount of living space, wonderful screened porches and decks, and ample parking. It's got fairly basic finishes and could use some new carpeting, but otherwise it was perfectly fine for a week at the beach.

Don't Rent!

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Property is completely outdated and extremely dirty. Location is the only benefit to this property. Pictures have definitely been "fixed" to make the property appear better than it is. Upon entering, the smell of mold and mildew is pungent. Carpets don't appear to have been cleaned in years. There were rodent droppings everywhere throughout the home. The sunroom roof is sagging and barely hanging by a thread (wouldn't let our children in the room for fear of safety). Grill offered in the listing hasn't been cleaned in what appears to be years. And while they claim to offer central air, there is a small unit down stairs (NO vents in the bedrooms) which only cools a portion of the house and there is a mediocre, at best, wall unit (loud, noisy and rickety) for the upstairs master. The rental agency offered to come in and clean, but honestly, it would take days for this property to be even acceptable. Moreover, shouldn't someone from the rental agency be checking on this more regularly? And while I am sure that will be the canned response to this review, honestly, there is nothing they could have done during our stay to remedy this property in a timely fashion. They said the care taker would be out to clean the outside shower and grill (never came) and that he called an exterminator (really? that should not even have to be something of concern during our vacation - and the exterminator never came and certainly didn't remedy anything while we were there). If you don't mind walking around with shoes on all the time, don't plan to sit on anything and can spend 99.9% of your vacation elsewhere, this house may work.

Unbeatable location, house needs some TLC

Reviewer Comments: This house is at a fantastic location, only the third house from the beach and the 4th of July parade passes right by the front of the house. Our family spent a fair bit of time at the beach and it's nice to be able to run back to the house for lunch or a break and get back to the beach easily. The decks were great for gatherings and are new. However, the rest of the house is in some need of TLC. Several light bulbs do not work throughout the house, but in particular the family room ends up being too dim for reading or board games in the evening. Several other appliances in the unit like vacuum cleaner, toaster and window A/C unit also do not work well or don't work at all. Overall I had a pleasant stay but will likely not choose this house next time.

The master bedroom on the second floor posed a problem for me because of my aging knees. The interior (living/dining room) lighting was inadequate for reading after dark. The location is superior. When we reported a toilet malfunction, the Wilgus repair technician arrived promptly to remedy the problem.
