Private pontoon on the lake with everything you need!

Enjoy your own private pontoon and spread out with 2 x day beds and 3 x dining areas. Utilise a mixture of relaxing and living spaces to relax, including a deck over the water. We provide Kayaks, SUPs, Bikes and a mix of water sports toys for all free access to the lake and year-round swimming and water sports.

NOTE: Barefoot Beach Apartment Darwin Waterfront is our second holiday home, a great place to stay right in the heart of Darwin Waterfront. Find us on STAYZ and other platforms.

Cook on the BBQ or fully equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds and quality linen. Barefoot is 1 hours' drive from Darwin & 20 minutes' drive from the wonders of Batchelor and Litchfield National Park.

There are four main living areas:

The Pontoon is where all the fun happens, with a deck chair and shade umbrella so you can watch the water sports in comfort. Multiple sized kayaks and a small kid's boat. One double, Single and small children's. SUPs and fun inflatables including a large water mat to relax or play on. Mixed flippers and goggles, and noodles. Beautiful at night watching the spectacular sunsets.

Our undercover outdoor BBQ area comes with a hammock and daybed and comfortable seating. Cook up on the fully equipped BBQ and wok burner. Lots of bench space and BBQ tools to make cooking fun and social. Right on the water's edge with steps directly into the water for a second entry point and easy access into the water.

The Balcony is the best place for sunsets, with a dining table and a very comfortable day bed. There is a box of accessories for the pontoon to spread out and relax with.

The indoor living area has a large 4–5-seater couch, and one occasional chair and indoor dining table. A moveable work bench with stools is a great social point. Watch your favourite shows on a large Frame Smart TV screen with video player and a selection of videos. Included Wi-Fi that you can access anywhere in the lake. Telstra and Optus reception.


The fully equipped kitchen has a quality coffee machine, grinder and coffee. A microwave and all the serving entertaining and cooking items you may need. Some food staples and cleaning products. Have fun with the chocolate fountain or bake a cake! Many modern appliances including a crock pot, blender, electric frying pan. Rice cooker, plus more. It’s a cook’s kitchen with an island bench, and all the extras you will need to make your dining experiences special.

We have a quality plumbed in water filter, so all water is drinkable from the inside taps.

The large master bedroom has a hotel quality king size bed, and quality linen. A variety of soft and firm pillows. There is a pull-out mattress under the bed. Room sleeps 3.

The second bedroom has hotel quality double bed, and quality linen. Sleeps 2.

The games and fun bookshelf contain lots of books, games, and activity-based items. Also added toiletries that you may need or have fun trying out. There are no out of bounds so please enjoy and have a look through every space. It is all there for you!

Cleaning: We ask that you clean the house, outdoors and BBQ area, thoroughly. And bag your rubbish and recyclables. We have all the cleaning equipment on site and use eco-friendly products. Thank you!

If you wish to leave it to us, a cleaning fee of $100 is payable. We are more than happy to clean for you!

Check in and out times: Check in time is generally 2pm and checkout is 10am. We aim to be very flexible with check in and check out times. Please ask if you wish to change these times to suit your travel plans. If we can accommodate an earlier or later time, I will always let you know.

Important Conditions:

This is not a party house.
The house is set up to relax and enjoy family, couple, and friend's time.
Use the kayaks and Stand-Up Paddle Board at your own risk and life jackets must be worn on the lake in kayaks.
Adults only to put the Stand-Up Paddle Board in and out of the water.
No pets.
We have set everything for you to experience a great, relaxing holiday, by adding little extras for you to enjoy. Please do not remove any items from the property. Please use items only when needed, being considerate of the purpose and of other visitors.

Full details on what to bring, lake and personal safety and liability agreement will be sent at the time of booking and in the house compendium. Bring your food, all other toiletries, towels and linen is provided.

The total number of people staying is 5.

Terms and Conditions of Hire:
1. Life Jackets will be provided and are to be always worn whilst on the vessel, helmets provided must be always worn on bicycles, we recommend you bring your own helmet, some will be available, which may be suitable depending on size.
2. The hirer will take full responsibility for the equipment and must pay for any damage or loss to the equipment.
3. The hirer will also take full responsibility for themselves and anyone else in the vessel, being aware that water sports can be dangerous and agree to accept the associated risks.
4. It is the hirers responsibility to provide any other supplies they may require ie: sunscreen, hats, water, dry clothing etc.
7. All vessels/bicycles are to always remain within the Lake Bennett areas.
9. Parent / Guardian will be fully responsible for any persons under 18 years of age.
9. All Kayak/Stand Up Paddle Board/Bicycle are only to be used in daylight hours (even if hired overnight)
10. By booking with Barefoot Bungalow 23 Lake Bennett, you are agreeing to pay the $10 fee for hire of all Kayak/Stand Up Paddle Board/Bicycles and agree to the terms of the above terms and conditions. The fee for hire is included in the price of the booking.

Liability Waiver:
You understand that free use of the lake, swimming, and the use of kayaks or stand-up paddle board (SUP), is at your own risk and that special risks may be involved with swimming and using the kayaks or stand-up paddle board.
You accept full responsibility for any bodily injury arising from swimming and use of the kayaks/ (SUP) and hold owner harmless. You understand there are potential dangers that swimming, and the use of kayaks may present to children who are not carefully supervised, as well as the danger to any person swimming, or using the kayaks if a person has health risks, or if a person swims, or uses the kayaks while intoxicated or using any kind of drugs or medication, or while pregnant.
You agree to be fully and solely responsible for any accidents you may incur. You understand the risks discussed above and agree that you will assume all responsibility for yourself and for the consequences of those in your party.

You agree to waive any claim whatsoever against owner for accidents or claims arising from swimming or using the kayaks. All STAYZ and invited Guests through other communication platforms in my party acknowledge and agree that they have read and understand this waiver and they acknowledge that confirming below constitutes a binding and enforceable contract between STAYZ Guests and STAYZ Host.
