4 Bedrooms/ 4.5 Bathrooms This spacious and luxurious home sleeps 16. With an open-concept downstairs living area makes this home perfect for larger family get togethers and vacations! Did we mention it has its own pool? Your family will absolutely love Seabatical!

Stairs are required to access to access this home. NO ELEVATOR!

Most single-family homes on the beach are built on pilings. Guests must climb a full set of stairs to reach the first floor/main living area. Please contact us for properties with elevator access or bedrooms on the ground floor.

Pointe West Beach Club

Spend a wonderful day at the pool or beach at the luxurious Pointe West Beach Club. Pointe West offers numerous amenities including, an infinity pool, children’s pool, lazy river(heated in the winter), fitness center, concierge, and restaurant. The Resort is independently run and charges $25 per person, (4 years and older) The use of the Beach Club is optional. The access fee is paid by credit card or cash directly to the Beach Club and is not included in rental rates.

The community is easily walkable. Golf Carts are a great way to get around as well. However, golf carts dune buggies, or any other types are vehicles are not allowed on Galveston beaches, dunes, or wetlands; this is city law!

House was great and having the pool was a must. Few things that could have been improved would be that the toaster oven didn’t work, the grill grate was completely rusted, and the downstairs floor needed to be gone over with a swiffer. Overall, we would stay there again.

Seabatical is a lovely home in a beautiful section of Pointe West.

We spent Mothers Day at Seabatical and it was magical. We had a small plumbing problem but they repaired it immediately. They are super responsive and helpful. This home has it all…location, views, amenities and a gorgeous pool. We will definitely rent again.

Perfect for large family

We loved everything about this home! It could not have been more perfect, other than Beryl coming in and us having to cut our stay way too short...the kitchen was well equipped and the bedrooms very comfy! We hope to come back for another visit very soon!

Weekend Stay

The house was beautiful. What was extremely disappointing and not listed prior to booking, was that the house sleeps 15 people but you can only bring 4 cars. this should be disclosed on listing because we all came from several different locations making it a huge challenge.

This home had everything we needed. Enjoyed spending time in the gathering space inside and out. Having the pool for quick swims for the grandkids was awesome. We would love to return to this home.

Great Birthday Weekend

We had a great birthday weekend for our 12 year old daughter and some of her friends. The set up was great for adults with two suites with king beds and the other rooms with the bunks were great for the girls. Everyone loved the pool/ entertainment area and the porches with great views and breezes.

Our first time using a vacation rental, Coastal Waves and Seabatical were great!

Coastal Waves team was always available to answer questions. Seabatical was a great location, a five minute walk to the beach as well as having a private pool. The house accommodated our group without issues. The rental was clean and comfortable upon arrival, we literally dropped our bags and got busy vacationing. Family had a wonderful stay at Sabatical beach house in Pointe West!

The house was big enough for our large family. The bedrooms were smaller than they seemed in the pictures but, everyone said their beds were very comfortable and that was a plus. The entire house was well maintained and stocked with everything we needed. The beach club was too far for us to walk. We had a lot of small children but, even the adults didn’t want to walk it because it was too hot. We rented a golf cart and used the car so being far from the beach club wasn’t a problem. One of the biggest perks was the pool in our backyard. The children loved swimming in the pool and made it easy for the adults because they were being entertained. One thing I would like to say is there is no elevator so be prepared to walk stairs. Coastal Waves was very easy to work with and Ian delivered my groceries and had them in the refrigerator before we arrived. Everyone said that they had a great time and would definitely recommend Coastal Waves and Sabatical beach house!

Loved the property, it was gorgeous. Location to the beach wasn't bad at all. We loved the amenities as well. Only had one unpleasant experience with a CW employee who accused us of lying & doing things we did not do to the pool on the property. The morning after we got there I called & asked that someone come "shock" the pool bc it was green & was told I was lying & then accused us of pouring beer into the pool which we never did. All that needed to be done was send someone out to look at the pool which finally happened after the accusations. Very unprofessional & bad customer service on his part. To the homeowners, you have a beautiful house. Thank you for using it as a rental property for others like my family. We had an enjoyable experience.

Family weekend was wonderful

We actually had to change properties to Family Tides about a month before we arrived. We loved the house. It was beautiful. As soon as we all walked in we were so impressed that it looked even better than the photos. It was so clean, smelled great and very comfortable. This was our first time to rent a house. We will be doing it again. It was a quick walk to the beach. We really enjoyed our morning at the Beach Club. We have 4 teenage grandkids. They loved the bunk room in the house. The kitchen was wonderful. I typically do not like cooking but it was fun to have everyone help and visit while we prepared the meals in the huge kitchen! We had all the tools we needed. I loved that this property had a dining table that seated all 8 of us! That was a plus. I spent the mornings on the patios with my coffee and the beautiful views!

Decent Stay

There were 6 adults and 3 children that stayed for a week at this property. The check-in process was easy and we were able to get quickly into the unit. There was an ant infestation in the kitchen and in some upstairs bathrooms. We went to the store to pick up traps for the counters and then found there were already 2 bottles of ant spray in the laundry room so this must be an on-going issue! The A/C unit was a little funky in terms of not telling the correct temp and the various rooms upstairs being different temps at all times, especially as compared to the downstairs. Led to a lot of us adjusting the temps multiple times a day to get comfortable. The grill is charcoal, as was mentioned in the listing. However, there is no top for it. We wasted 2 bags of charcoal and hours of dinner time trying to grill when there was even a breeze as the grill would not stay lit. Recommend not using and just cooking inside! The towels in the bathrooms were practically see through-not absorbent and most had holes! We did bring our own beach towels for the pools/beach, but there were a few left over from other visitors in the laundry room. The pool in the backyard was really nice when the kids were napping, along with the 2 pools in the complex. We had an issue at 7:30pm and needed another key to the unit (can't believe they don't give more than 1 key!). We called the after hours # and NEVER received a response back. Worst part of the stay. Very unreliable and disappointing!!

Griffith Family Weekend 2022

Phenomenal Property - Has everything you need

This is a GREAT property to bring the entire family together. Each of the four bedrooms have there on bath, King Bed and Smart TV. Two of the bedrooms sleep five while the other two are just King beds. We were there in August of 2022 with our two daughters and their families (10 in total) and it was a great experience. The downstairs with a combination huge kitchen and family room was ideal for eating together, watching TV or just enjoying being together. The outside has a pool in which the kids just truly enjoyed in the morning and evenings when not at the Beach Club. There is also a charcoal grill as well which we used. Since this property is in Pointe West it provides access the Pointe West Beach Club which is also very nice with a massive outdoor pool as well as kiddy pool. The beach is about a five minute walk from the Beach Club. We will certainly be going back next year as the house and Beach Club provide all you need for a family vacation.

Girls Weekend with Kids!

Rental and check in process was great. Communication was very good. The exterior and interior are gorgeous. The property is in a beautiful neighborhood with close access to beach. We loved having our own pool for kids! Beds were super comfortable. The location is about 20-25 from the main drag in Galveston so stock up on groceries, etc. before or on one trip. The decor was lovely and all the finishes top of the line. Thanks for having our group!!

Great stay in Seabatical

Really enjoyed our visit in this property. Excellent condition. Very well equipped. Pool was terrific. About an 8 minute or so walk to the beach over a long wooden boardwalk. Beach was great with only light amount of visitors. Beach club and lazy river were nice attractions. Would definitely stay here again.
