We absolutely loved our weekend stay! The cabin was spotless, well-stocked, and wonderfully pet-friendly. We forgot our dog’s bowls, but the cabin had some already laid out in the kitchen, along with a thoughtful bowl of dog treats next to the check-in/out instructions. The property itself is beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed walking our dog around and admiring the horses and other animals. Carol, the host, was so kind and welcoming. We booked this cabin for its close proximity to Hidden Hill Wedding Venue, and we’re so glad we did. It was much closer and more convenient than the hotels in Morganton where most guests stayed. We’d absolutely recommend this cabin and would stay again!

We had an absolutely LOVELY time at the cabin. The host was friendly and communicative, even before our stay started. We booked this time because of a wedding at the beautiful Hidden Hill Venue, but we will be finding a reason to come back. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Scenic, clean and cozy

The cabin was very clean and well supplied. The property is beautiful and quiet with a little bit of horse whinnying.Switches and outlets were well labeled and bedding and towels were high quality. House rules and check out were laid out in a simple document.Carol was friendly and checked in on us.This was a very nice and relaxing cabin.

Simply AMAZING!!!

I had the pleasure of staying at The Cabin at Lamb Farm Horses in May 2024, and it was an unforgettable experience! Set on a working horse farm, it was a joy to watch trainers working with the horses and kids taking riding lessons. The cabin offers a beautiful mountain view, which you can enjoy from the comfort of rocking chairs. The bedroom has views of two different pastures, one on each side. Waking up to birds singing, the gentle chimes, and the neighing of horses was just perfect. The cabin is not too far from many hiking trails in the foothills of North Carolina, making it a great base for exploration. The cleanliness and the warmth of the hosts, who were attentive without being intrusive, made it easy to relax. I left feeling refreshed and eager to return. Highly recommend this gem for anyone looking for a tranquil getaway!

THE perfect getaway

I had the best getaway at the cabin. It's a very quiet and peaceful environment. The sunsets are spectacular. Having the firepit was exceptional as the weather was just perfect for a robust fire.The cabin was extremely clean and inviting. I loved that the kitchen was well stocked with utensils/pots/pans and even staples (condiments and seasonings). The bed was so comfortable I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. I had the windows open a little at night and the cool breeze, fresh mountain air and waking up to the sounds of horses in the morning. Incredibly peaceful!This was one of the best places I've stayed. Thank you LambFarm Cabin.

Don't question it, just BOOK it!

Hands down, BEST place we have ever stayed. Carol is the most amazing host we've ever encountered. Always very quick to respond to any questions we had. The day we arrived, she immediately asked my 13 yr old son if he'd like to help feed the horses and off they went. The next day, she took my mom, my son and I on a tour of the property. The farm is just wonderful. Carol, James and crew do an amazing job at caring for their horses, property, etc. Everything was so peaceful and relaxing. The house was a perfect size for us and had everything and more provided. Comfortable and very clean. My mom and I spent every night on the porch, sitting in the rocking chairs while watching the fire flies. The location worked out so great for us and everything we had planned. Morganton is a beautiful city. We would most definitely stay here again in the future.

Cozy cabin in a serene location

The cabin was cozy and well appointed. The surrounding property was very peaceful and tranquil. This was just what we needed to unwind after a stressful month. The host went out of her way to make us feel welcome-she even brought me a care package when I wasn’t feeling well. I would highly recommend!

Wonderful place to stay

My husband and I always enjoying staying at LambFarms - it is peaceful with amazing views. We enjoy the comfortable furniture, well appointed kitchen, and friendly horses. Carol, the hostess, is very thoughtful and is always there if you need anything. We'll be back!

Amazing little cabin in the mountains

From arrival to departure the stay at the cabin at the Lamb's horse farm was wonderful. Carol and James run a horse farm, training, showing, and boarding horses. They are both so hospitable, treating you like long lost friends. The cabin is adorable, decorated totally in all horse decor. Furniture very comfortable, well stocked kitchen as far as accessories and a few other things. When we walked in there was a box of chocolate brownie crisp cookies waiting for us! delicious!! Carol even had a bowl of dog treats on the kitchen counter as well as two dog bowls set up for our pups. We went to Morganton for a wedding although we have our own cabin in Franklin, NC. Too far for us to stay in our own cabin, but this was the best place I could have asked for to stay close to the wedding venue which happened to be on the top of the mountain overlooking the farm. James had taken the kids to a horse show on Saturday so Carol was kind enough to get a beautiful paint horse ready for our friend and her new husband to have pictures taken with the horse in their wedding finery. Anyone who stays here will be blessed!!!

Would return in a heartbeat!

My wife and I (and our dog Riley) stayed at Lambfarm Cabin as a little getaway weekend. It was absolutely everything we could have asked for! Beautiful property, lovely horses, and a peaceful time of reconnecting away from the stress of daily life. I would absolutely recommend a stay here to anyone. We sure would love to go back! Also, Carol was incredibly kind and even returned my camera charger to me through the mail, as I had overlooked grabbing it on our departure. Truly wonderful and kind people!

What a Find!!!

Loved the cabin and the surrounding horse farm. It was so peaceful, relaxing and serene yet close enough to town. Cabin was immaculate and cute with a wonderful sprawling front porch to enjoy the views and nature. Even our senior dog was able to get around easily as the property was pet friendly. The owners were fantastic hosts! Carol was charming, friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. We were fortunate enough to book a private horse riding lesson for our 5 yo granddaughter on the property as a surprise birthday gift-best decision ever! James is a wonderful instructor and really good with children! We can't say enough good things about this place. Would love to visit again and highly recommend!

Beautiful cabin on beautiful mountain country side. Country living at its best on a lovely horse farm! A very peaceful place that I highly recommend. Mrs. Carol is a lovely lady that goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. Roasting marshmallows, the gentle sound of rain falling on the covered porch and the sound of horses softly neighing at each other are some of the things I will always remember from my stay.

We were visiting family. The cabin was spotless and had all the basic amenities one could possibly need. I know the website says that the internet is erratic, but we did not have a moments problem. The owners are delightful.

Beautiful place to stay

The cabin was beautifully situated with a view of the hills from the front porch and horses all around. The kitchen, bedroom and bath were very comfortable and clean, and nicely decorated.

Perfect stay

The cabin is clean and comfortable. I was nervous about the window ac unit, but it kept the place nice and cool even in the scorching heat. The farm is so picturesque and idyllic. The garden is gorgeous. The view from the porch is so nice. It's everything you could want from a laid back, rustic experience. But the real stand out that makes this an absolute Must Stay is Carol Lamb herself. She was so extremely sweet and kind. She was warm and welcoming immediately and told me all about local spots to visit, food to eat, and sights to see. She was extremely communicative and open. I really felt at home the second I got there. And she was so extremely kind to my kids. My youngest is autistic and has some delayed speech and a severe stutter, but still loves to talk to people. It's normal for people to talk over him or around him or finish his sentences for him because communicating is hard and it gets him so disheartened. Carol talked straight to him and was attentive and patient while he asked about her horses and talked about things he liked. She brought out one of her horses and let my kids pet it and showed them the barn. Even my 13 year old who is too cool for everything right now said "She's really cool. We should come back next time we visit." I can't recommend this place enough. Perfect experience.
