The cottage is clean and modern with great amenities… top of the line appliances were a great touch, especially given we were there for Thanksgiving. The property is a nice size for a good stroll and it is quiet and secluded. We loved all of the windows on all sides. We really enjoyed our stay!

Not sure about pets but the place is so comfortable and invite. Deck and fire table are perfect, love the chairs. So peaceful and a perfect get away. Host are super nice and go out of their way!!

It was a perfect getaway and we loved the house and location (and the lack of wifi!). My only small note would be that it gets very bright very early (and stays bright late) this time of year so sleep was a bit tough. There are thin blinds up for the bunk bed spaces, but it would be great if those were blackout blinds and even if there were some sort of blinds or curtains for the smaller windows in the master. Overall though, I would say this was a minimal concern for us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful and quiet retreat

Lovely property to get away from it all. Hosts provided any kitchen essentials you could need. Incredibly private. The deck was amazing for relaxing in the sun, with a beautiful view. The walking path was lovely. We are very happy with our visit! Make sure you bring drinking water if well water bothers you.

Nicely secluded area with water view and trees. Quite setting with birds chirping and no interruption from anything.Wish we could walk to the lake instead of just seeing it from a distance. The pond was not usable for swimming or paddleboat. Agreed with other peoples comments about laxj of curtains and hard king mattress.Overall stay was ok!

The home was beautiful and welcoming. We enjoyed our visit overall. I wonder if, at some point, a guest ruin the foam mattress on the king sized bed as it seems to only have a box spring so very uncomfortable. I would recommend some sort of window coverings as the sun comes in quite bright and wakes you up very early. I don't know why the ad says there's a pool when there is not. The lake is super yucky and I would not recommend swimming. We went to Red Deer to Discovery Canyon and we went swimming in Olds at their pool, so there are other options.

Private pool

Pool was not swimmable. The algae was everywhere. Should not be in the description as usable. They need to Clean the light fixtures. The bugs are starting to decay.

Amazing getaway

Beautiful location and property, equipped with everything needed. There is cell service in most spots of cabin which is great, just a heads up - the water does have a real sulphur smell for brushing teeth & showering.

We really enjoyed the place and the house was perfect for a family of 4. I only wanted to say that the king-size bed is quite hard and uncomfortable to sleep in. The windows in that room don't have curtains, so my children woke up completely at 5 a.m. The curtains are missing. Finally, I don't recommend drinking the water because it smells bad and is oily when bathing. Despite this, it's a great place to enjoy with the family and disconnect. I loved the view and the birds singing.

Much needed Peace

This was our second visit to this properrty and we hope to return again. The beauty and solitude are just what we are looking for to get away from the busy city. The house itself is clean and modern but big on comfort. Nice to see some added features since the last visit like the dvd player and radio.

Ideal Quiet Place & Clean Property

We are a family of four adults with 1 pet. We had a really nice experience in this clean and well kept property. We really enjoyed the quiet area and the nice and peaceful surroundings. Nice property and most of what we need was provided by the owner. My communication with the owner was good and I receive responses promptly. Our suggestions for improvement: 1. There is a certain smell with the water in this property and we can smell it when using the faucets in the sink and when taking a shower. 2. The heated water, if you use the shower is not consistent. 3. Included in the amenities is the wi-fi as I read the information. But when I asked for the wi-fi access on the day we were checking in, the owner replied and informed me there is no wi-fi service. Other than these, we still unanimously agreed to go back to this property. - Gem

Very Nice

Very quiet and spacious.We have three childern and they were occupied without internet access exploring the surrounding woods and open spaces. The pond was also fun. It was a nice break from the city life.
