Waterfront Ucluelet Harbour Lodging


Stunning Waterfront on the Ucluelet Harbour. This lodge style apartment has breathtaking views of the ocean, mountains and forests. Enjoy watching Seals, Eagles playing and fishing, lots of sport and commercial fishing boats heading back and forth, even the occasional Orcas.
This Lodge Style apartment has three bedrooms. The master has a king size bed and full size bathroom beside it. The secondary bedroom also has a King size bed, and the third bedroom has two twin beds. In the living room there is a smart TV with Netflix provided. Full size kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, keurig coffee machine, dishwasher, and washer/dryer.


Walking distance to all shopping and dining in the charming little town, and one great feature is you are steps away from the Ucluelet Aquarium, Jamie’s Whale and Bear Watching Tours.

PLEASE NOTE: The lodge is above a Business (Marine Chandlery)and beside a working Boatyard.
STAIRS lead to the unit. Anyone with mobility issues or toddler children please be mindful of this fact. Use of the stairs and our large upper outdoor deck are used at your own risk.

Great location, excellent views and furnishings

This place was amazing. Clean, open, on the water. The sea lions barking and fishing boats coming and going, yet quiet and peaceful. It was a great opportunity for family to reconnect. The rain was inconsequential!

Was an Excellent experience

We loved the place and with the owners right downstairs in their place of business, communication was top notch. We were very impressed and will stay there again on our vacations to Ucluelet.

Perfect Family Getaway

The apartment was perfect for our three night stay in Ucluelet with our daughter and her husband, son and mother-in-law. We were close to beaches and trails, and came back to enjoy our time sitting on the deck watching life in the harbour. Can't wait to go again!

Great Spot

We stayed with my parents, in-laws, and our dog and it was absolutely perfect. Great property, clean and well maintained. Would recommend this spot to anyone. Lovely :)

Beautiful View

Stayed with 5 adults. Perfect for a family. We enjoyed watching the boats and the sea lions from our deck and from inside with all the big windows. Also very cosy to watch the rain. Shows just like the pictures. Well equipped and close to walk to everything.

Amazing find

The excellent central location is coupled with incredible views and nature watching. All of us were delighted to walk to various daily adventures in Ucluelet and then come home and watch the eagles, the boat traffics, the sea lion.

Location

My first time in Ucluelet and I absolutely lucked out finding this rental. They had everything I needed and even helped me in locating some local fish. Highly recommend to anglers towing their own boat here.

Great place with fantastic view

We really enjoyed staying in this apartment, what a great view on a fantastic location. We spent lots of time on the terrace, overlooking the harbor with the boats but also with some animal visitors. You can spot harbor seals from above, bold eagles, and even some bears on the coast across. The place itself was amazing too. Everything was still very new and shining. Location also great, on walking distance to coffee, restaurants, shops and aquarium. Contact with host Sandy was fast and very friendly. All in all highly recommended!

Amidst the bald eagles!

This is a lovely unit in a tranquil and beautiful setting that worked well for our family for the 3 days we were there. The pictures on the website do not do it justice! You can see that Sandy and family have put a lot of love and thought into every detail on this charming abode. The views are fabulous and our family got a kick out of watching the bald eagles flying around. We had originally planned on staying in Tofino but availability was scarce. It turned out Ucluelet was a better choice not only for the accommodation but for the location which is much quieter and less busy. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Photos did not do it justice. So appreciated the newness and cleanliness of the property. Bear decor and the well stocked kitchen was great. Business below was not a huge bother due to their hours. Beds comfy. Due to weather couldn’t use the deck as much but view was an added bonus. Seal and otters spotted. Heartwood Kitchen and Ukee Poke were exceptional. Thanks Sandy.

Beautiful views and very clean!

This rental is unique because it sits above a fish/tackle shop. The space looked like it was newly constructed and was very clean. It had ample space for our family of four. It was the views of the water and boats that made it perfect. We saw a seal swim by and countless Bald Eagles fly by. The town isn’t super busy like Tofino, which made it less stressful. It was close to the hiking trails we came to experience. We’ve stayed in multiple VRBO’s around the country. This has been one of the top ones.

Interesting Experience

This property is right in the heart of Ucluelet if you’re looking for a very local experience. You can walk to everything so great location. The unit is huge with ample space for all and is well stocked with everything you’d need to cook and relax. Views are great! Upon arrival, there was a very strong fish odor… we notified the owner who promptly brought candles. I’m not sure they could have done much more but it was very over powering at times. You do feel like a bit of an outsider with local business happening all around… That said, we enjoyed our stay and booking was very easy.

Ucluelet Waterfront

We highly recommend Harbour Waterfront Lodging for anyone staying in Ucluelet. The lodge was very comfortable for the 6 of us staying in Ucluelet in early May. The location right on the water was fantastic. We enjoyed seeing the boats pulling in and out of the harbour, as well as watching eagles, a variety of ducks and other birds and sea lions. The house was clean and a comfortable place for us to return to after full days of exploring. The kitchen well equiped and the living room had plenty of comfortable seating for all of us to relax in. We enjoyed a couple of days of biking right from the house, and also loved hiking and exploring the trails around Uclulet. The location is also good for exploring the beaches and trails between Uclulet and Tofino. We'd definitely would return to this property the next time we come back to Vancouver Island.

We have never left a negative review the past decades, but to inform prospective renters, I believe what follows is a balanced review. Based on photos we were excited to stay at this location. Upon arrival, our excitement quickly dissipated. The entry up the interior stairs smells strongly of mold and this is in a rundown commercial area. Although there was a note in the listing regarding the boatyard nearby, we were not aware that it is directly behind the bedroom in full view, or information that spoke to the amount of construction noise that accompanies it. It was as if you are in the shop itself and difficult to hold normal tone conversations. In trying to use the tea pot my wife had to clean out a 1/2" of mold. Upon baking dinner, the only Pyrex dish was caked with grease as if it had not been cleaned since the last use. Additionally, my wife had to wear sandals in the bathroom because her feet were sticking to the floor around the toilet. Further, the shades did not work in the bedroom or living room, and there is not lighting in the center or far corners of the living room and we could not see the cribbage board. Lastly, we all got bit by bugs both in the couch and in bed; probably fleas because pets are allowed. We have photos. The owner allowed us to cancel our last night but was indifferent to concerns and told us to look elsewhere. Again, we have never posted a negative review before and thought we would do the decency of informing others.
