Our secluded sanctuary, nestled in expansive bushland, can comfortably fit 14 people within it’s open plan living spaces, bedroom and modern loft-style attic.

Tucked away in the heart of Gellibrand, a quaint town just 2 hours out of Victoria’s CBD. Surrounded by 60 acres of bushland and 4kms of walking track around the property, Otways Retreat is the perfect space for when you just need time to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Hidden Gem

Best time had by all. We stayed at the house as it was close to the location of our Wedding ( Californian Red woods, Beech Forest) We had family fly in from Perth and Sydney. Everyone loved the house and location. A real sense of privacy and relaxation. Heaps of things to keep the kids occupied, they loved it and have already asked if we can go back. Thank you to Michael ensuring we had a great time.

Fabulous Weekend Getaway

The house is comfortable and spacious. It caters well for the number of people it can sleep. Beds are very comfortable and plenty of linen supplied. The surrounding bushland is peaceful and idyllic and the house has a rustic vibe. We enjoyed celebrating a family birthday here for a weekend. Plenty of room to play sports, pool table, outdoor fire, yabbying in the dam - we all had a ball. Thank you for sharing your property with us. Hopefully just some constructive feedback - bungalow could do with a more thorough clean (cobwebs mainly) and a more detailed description on what's on offer. We were very well catered for and you should advertise this.

Would strongly recommend

One word. Amazing! Don't want to spoil it for anyone but house is much better then what the photos show Clean, big, lots of space inside and outside. We had 4 teens, not one complained that they are bored. Lots of things to be entertained Looking forward to our next stay!

Great for families

It was the perfect stay for our four little families with kids and it was great to have most of us in the house altogether. The mezzanine with two single beds is not for the faint hearted (accessible by steep ladder) so best for adults or older teens to use. The bungalow is close enough to the house but would be good to also have a bathroom and toilet nearby. There were some great breakout areas in the house for entertaining and a big block to explore. Our host was very informative and quick to all our questions.
