Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. This brand new self-contained studio is perfect for a quiet weekend getaway or a longer holiday stay. Opening onto the deck that has stunning views of the local countryside, from the windmills, to glimpses of Raglan harbour, to Mt Karioi. Situated on a working beef farm in the hills above Raglan, a 15 – 20 min drive to the town centre, or beaches. Get it all – peace and quiet of the country, fun at the beach, the bustle of a seaside town.

Farmhouse Stay

Cottage was outstanding, very clean and new. Beautiful scenery, very tranquil which made it easy to relax. Sue went beyond expectations with all the little touches around the house making you feel right at home. Will definitely be back and highly recommend

Great place to stay

It was a great place to stay, the place was very clean and tidy, only being 20 mins out of raglan made it easy to get there. All the little extras made it feel real homely and were a pleasant surprise. Thanks for the great accommodation.

A beautiful spot in the middle of nowhere.

Lovely accommodation, with extras, food wise. Our only issues were - no internet or TV, and the long gravel road to get there.

Can't fault a thing! Perfect home and facilities, gorgeous views, lovely unexpected treats in pantry and fridge, met John who was friendly and considerate, we'd definitely recommend it as well as return ourselves.

Amazing hidden getaway!

If you're looking for a quiet spot to chill out, this is it. Close enough to Raglan and outdoor activities but still quiet and secluded. Great views of the countryside and nice complementary snacks and breakfast food. We enjoyed some poached eggs on local sourdough whilst looking out at the beautiful scenery. Will be back!

Country Bliss

Sue is a terrific host and her bach is cozy and beautifully decorated. The views over the farm valley are so relaxing. Sue's extra touches of soft fluffy towels, wonderful soaps and fresh farm treats in the kitchen added to the charm.

Quiet getaway

Great if you want a little isolation while still being reasonable close to Raglan (by car). Stunning early-morning views at sunrise across a hilly rural vista. Sue and John are generous, considerate hosts. We found very welcome little extra treats in the pantry and fridge.

Raglan short stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sue and John’s Farm Stay Unit. The Unit was amazing….very clean and modern and with all the amenities we could possibly need for our 3 night stay. Bonus was having access to a washing machine after travelling for 3 weeks. All the little extras were really appreciated milk bread cereals etc and everything was of amazing quality. And the VIEW! More than amazing. We had a great time staying here in the peace and quiet and enjoying the quirky surf town of Raglan. Would thoroughly recommend. Thanks again !

Off the beaten track

We spent an amazing and relaxing weekend on the farm. The kids especially enjoyed watching the sheep and cows and feeding the Alpacas. We could not have asked for a better view and don't get me started on the shower - wow! The house was clean and hosts very friendly. The extras were unexpected but much appreciated. We will be back. Amazing

Sue is an amazing host. She greeted us when we arrived after 6pm with a warm smile. She left us some fresh farm produce in the fridge and the cabin was 100% as listed. It was clean, modern, warm and cosy. We will be back. Highly recommended.

They were no wrong about the Peace and Tranquility

The moment we stepped in the door, we were blown away by the cleanliness, the use of space, and the incredible shower (with the shower head being nick-named Godzilla by us). The view was the most amazing welcome, closely followed by discovering the local treats in the fridge. Far enough, yet not too far from Raglan, meant that we could enjoy the great local coffee and then escape the crowds by driving back along gravel roads (along the coast and around Mt Karioi).It was the perfect location for a quiet weekend for us (after dropping the teenagers to Sound Splash)- from reading on the couch, in between wee jaunts out, through to hot chocolates (with the local milk) under the stars on the deck. Whether you are wanting to hide away from the crowds (yet go and grab a coffee) for a couple of days, or somewhere relaxing to head back to after a day of swimming, surfing, or meandering around the coast, we cannot recommend Sue and John’s place enough.

Pristine paradise

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in this gem. Perfect place to totally relax and getaway for our 10 year anniversary. Loved being able to walk into an immaculate and beautiful place (with the heater going!) , so easy to relax in. And we woke up to a fabulous view and soaked it up from the lovely deck chairs. Breakfast provided was delicious and host was so friendly and prompt with communication. Have already recommended this place and won't hesitate to recommend it to others! Many thanks for a fabulous stay.
