Welcome to Heaven South where mountain living meets modern luxury at this gorgeous home in the Smoky Mountains. Located in a gated community with hiking trails and waterfalls, this custom-built cabin offers stunning year-round, unobstructed, layered mountain views from its oasis at 4,000 feet. This property does require 4x4 or AWD


Cabin features two large king suites – one with private fireplace and walk in tiled shower, the other a quiet loft with separate reading area and heated toile seat.

Heaven South boasts a great room with large TV and a gas fireplace overlooking westerly panoramic views. Take advantage of high speed internet and multiple streaming options. There is no better place to enjoy your breakfast and morning coffee or to watch the sunset than on the huge screened in porch. Next to the porch relax in the new hot tub also overlooking the mountains. We know you’ll appreciate the stone fire pit with custom built-in grill.

Enjoy cooking in the large kitchen with island and granite countertops. Powder room and laundry room are conveniently located on the main level.

Home also has a whole house generator so you never have to worry about power failures!

Great stay

We enjoyed the gorgeous property, especially the screened in porch and hot tub. We traveled with another couple and appreciated that both bedroom spaces had a king bed and separate bath so neither couple felt like they were getting a down grade, even in the lofted space. The only downside was the 30ish minute drive from downtown Bryson City up a winding road…but that winding road leads to a quiet neighborhood at the top of a hill with unobstructed views and beautiful sunsets.

Fantastic House

This house is just as nice, if not more so, than the pictures. The views, amenities, location are all perfect for a nice mountain get away. Sometimes you rent a place and you get there and it doesn't measure up...this one does! Very happy and plan to stay again.

Perfect get away!

So comfortable, beautiful, well built/ decorated, hot tub was amazing, kitchen was easy to cook in. The trip up to the house was long but scenic and fun. Definitely have the directions from the management company on hand. We slept great and had a romantic Vaycay!

Freakishly perfect sunsets

Beautiful property, very good cleaning staff. The view was exceptional. Bring what you need for the first night, because it’s 25 minutes down the mountain, and another back up. Management team very helpful and accommodating. We bought firewood from Kenny, and the price was very reasonable! Best sunset I’ve ever seen!!!

Two comments given in the spirit of possible improvements: There were no closets left unlocked so we had no place to hang clothes. Also, there were no instructions for the HVAC system. The system required a PIN to change modes from AC to Heat. We spent the first morning cold, asked for help, the system was remotely changed to heat but we couldn't change it back to AC when needed. The PIN needs to be provided in the instructions for the house.

Christmas getaway

Home was beautiful, however, was totally unaware of the conditions to get to the home. Very steep and hairpin turns. Fireplaces in both bedrooms inoperable. Called maintenance several times with resolution on the last day of our stay. Would have loved to experience a fireplace the entire time! Also reported to maintenance the dirty condition of the hot tub. Ring of dirt clearly visible when we tried to enjoy it. When speaking to property manager, got a very insincere ‘I am sorry for the inconvenience!’ We paid a pretty good price for our vacation and expected a little bit more consideration.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was a fantastic trip-great house overall. We had issues with the fireplace in the master bedroom-it set the alarm off twice then it wouldn't start at all. The master bedroom was hard to heat-the draft from the fireplace made the room much colder than the other rooms, but this was manageable. Also, the attic door wouldn't stay closed and this also allowed for a cold draft to enter the house. However overall, I'd say it was a great experience. Great location. Clean hot tub. Overall amenities were as detailed in the pictures. No major complaints.

This cabin offered a peaceful secluded place to stay with one of the greatest views of any cabin I’ve previously rented. The cabin was beautiful and the family particularly loved the hot tub. We had a fire in the fire pit while watching the sunset over the mountains. I would recommend this cabin to others as long as you are okay with a mountainous drive to get to it. It is more beautiful than expected and the views are more amazing than pictures show or words can express. You have to see it for yourself. The cons of the house: we were looking for a house close to the other houses we rented for a work retreat. The location showed it was close to downtown Bryson City but is 15 miles of mountainous roads away, 30 minute drive. The view made up for the drive!
