Like any place, there were good and not so good things about it, but overall we give kt 5 Stars. Getting the not so great out of the way:- There was a leak in the tub so it was unusable all 3 nights. This was a freak occurrence so it wasn’t a huge deal outside of the time to clean. We still had one usable shower and it sufficed. The owner was very nice about it and made it up to us. - Water pressure in the restrooms was out of whack: insanely strong downstairs and barely dripping upstairs. - The stairs and upstairs restroom are very narrow and have angled ceilings. XXXL and very tall people may be uncomfortable. - The new stairs have unfinished wood, which isn’t the best feeling walking barefoot or in socks as requested. They look awesome, though. The good stuff:- The place was recently remodeled so a lot was new. A few quirks and loose ends here and there, but things worked well and looked nice. - Everything was very clean save the trash bin outside which was overflowing with trash. Sure, there were a few spider webs here and there, but it’s in the middle of the woods. Spiders are going to get in there, that wasn’t a big deal at all. The place smelled very clean and all the beds were neat and tidy. - Location is excellent. Really close to Old Town. Also makes for a quick exit out of town upon departure. We can’t wait to visit again!

We enjoyed our short stay at the rental. It was beautiful, comfortable, and close to the village. It did not earn 5 stars due to some needed maintenance and sparseness on the usual amenities.

Pros: location was great. 6 minutes from pleasure point marina. 9 to village. We stayed on Fourth of July weekend and could see the fireworks from the front. Cons: the outside of the property was absolutely gross:weeds were out of control. The driveway is crackling and chunks of asphalt everywhere. The wooden deck did not feel safe. All the patio furniture was trash. Literal trash cushions with shredded foam exposed. Spiderwebs and leaves everywhere. Completely neglected. We did not feel comfortable going out there at all. Even the front door was covered in cobwebs, the outside trashcan, which we are instructed to not use was filled to the brim. Check in process: the code we are given did not work. I was trying to text with the property manager. She was working on it so I had to end up calling her.they gave us the code to the lock box instead of the door. It was frustrating. Entering a rental should be easy with technology today. They did fix it same day. House interior: I opened the door and walked through a giant spiderweb. Gasp! It definitely set the tone for the weekend. I pulled a bath towel out of the dresser in the upstairs bedroom and three nickel sized spiders crawled out. Crying. Bathroom doors are clear glass with sheer curtains. No privacy.

Not Ready for Guests

The property is not what it appears. First impression of balcony entry is met with an untidy entrance door, with dust and cobwebs. We were unable to gain entrance. The door code did not work and we had to stand outside in the cold for about 30 minutes. Once inside, the unit had not been recently occupied or cleaned. There were cobwebs throughout unit, on every light fixture, doors, ceilings, and kitchen shelf. Found insects on drapes, windows and floors. Floors were dusty. Doors to rooms don't close property. Poor bathroom remodel on second floor with unusable sink due to pitched roof right over it. Cannot wash face due to risk bumping your head. Kitchen did not have oven, dishwasher, or coffee maker. There were only plates, cups and utensils. No bowls for cereal. Heating was a big problem. On entry, room temp was 53F and there is only one floor vent to heat entire unit. It was cold and uncomfortable for the next 6 hrs. That's how long it took to achieve temp in 60s. I had to ask for small space heater for upstairs bedroom. First night was very uncomfortable due to temperature challenges and unkept/uncleaned unit condition. TV remote control did not work. QR code provided did not work. The unit did have hot water that was hot. That is the only positive. I was so disappointed. This listing did not come close to the minimum requirements for a house rental.
