This 2-bedroom, 1-bath vacation rental is set about 13 miles from the whitewater rafting mecca of the south, the Nantahala Outdoor Center, and where the Appalachian Trail crosses the Nantahala River. For adult recreation, head to Harrah's Cherokee Casino located only 14 miles away, while family day trips to visit top attractions in Asheville are just a little more than an hour away!

Before you pack up the car and head for the mountains, know that when we say mountains, we really mean it!

Downtown Bryson City has an elevation of 1,752 feet, so think of this as a starting point. The majority of our cabins will have a higher elevation than this. This means that our roads- both state and private- will be steeper, narrower, and curvier than you may be use to driving. Also, you should expect to encounter gravel roads. Consider it part of our rural mountain charm!

Here at Yellow Rose, your safety is our priority. If a cabin requires 4 wheel, front wheel, or all wheel drive to access it, it will be listed in the description. If bringing or riding motorcycles, please call and ask for motorcycle friendly properties. If you have any concerns about accessing your rental, please call prior to your arrival and we will be happy to discuss it with you.

The location felt remote but only 5 minutes drive to town and grocery store. The view from porch and hottub oustanding. I would stay here again.

Sweet little mountain home

Reviewer Comments: The Bryson Gap Farmhouse is a sweet little mountain home that is part of a community of small rental cabins that are well spaced for privacy. It is not elegant, but is certainly very nice, comfortable and spacious for a family of four. It has a large well equipped eat-in kitchen, and a grocery store is 5 minutes away. My favorite part is the wide front porch with rocking chairs and a beautiful mountain view. It is far enough up in elevation to be away from traffic and have a nice view, but is still less than 10 minutes from downtown Bryson City and 20 minutes from the Deep Creek entrance to SMNP. It is very reasonably priced for the setting and convenience. We already have reservations to stay there again.

Girl's mountain bike weekend

Great location for our girl's weekend. Bryson City is a great touristy town, and Tsali mountain bike trails are SO fun. Cherokee casino nearby, too!
