The old motor lodge re-invented! We recently took two hotel rooms and combined into one nice kitchenette suite. All new bathrooms, kitchens, doors, windows, lock system and furniture. Still has the old radiators and wall mounted AC units that we just couldn't find a way around, but they work great! An excellent base camp to enjoy the Black Hills and Badlands. Owners are avid hikers and mountain bikers who have lived in the area their entire lives. Happy to help get you pointed in the right direction.This apartment is located on the second floor.

The Sojourn Vacation Rentals and Flats offers modern, fully furnished flats in Rapid City, SD. Rooms include a kitchen with a full refrigerator, microwave, cooktop and dishwasher. This room is a large open space with 3 beds, one king and two doubles. There is a patio available for guest’s relaxation and enjoyment.

The Sojourn is conveniently located for travelers looking to visit Mt. Rushmore, the Black Hills, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, Sturgis, and more. This property is nonsmoking and no pets.

The kitchenettes are perfect for the vacationer or longer term out of town employee who needs some local housing. Located on Mt. Rushmore Road. 1.5 miles to downtown Rapid City, 26 miles to Mt. Rushmore. Local hiking and biking trail heads as close as .5 miles from property. Great selection of restaurants and stores in walking distance. .75 miles from Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Notes

We use the KeyCafe automated check in system so you can arrive anytime after 3pm.  The booking code and instructions will be sent via txt and email on the day of arrival.  Of course, we are happy to assist!  If we aren't on the property when you arrive we are near by.

The property was clean and was nice and spacious. King bed was very uncomfortable- you sink all the way down. Not little kid friendly as there are cords all over the place. Would be nice if there was better lighting in the bathroom.Other than that- it was a good place to stay for a short visit- or without kids wouldnt be bad for longer!

Spacious! Perfect for traveling with teens.

Spacious room with divided area for us that made it perfect for traveling with teens. Everyone had their own space and we were not on top of each other. Kitchen was great as well!

Loved it so much, we came back!

Staying at this property is so easy with the KeyCafe to check-in and check-out. The room is very suitable for several guests and has a kitchenette with some dishes, flatwear, and cooking supplies. Nice to have fridge w/freezer, and microwave. Very clean and well-maintained.

Easy access to all things around Rapid City

My fault does for a night in Rapid City on our way home from vacation. This location was easy to find, safe area, and extremely clean! Coming in late and for only one night, this was perfect to find! Easy access and close proximity to area attractions and restaurants.

Yellowstone vacation

We just stopped over night on our way to Yellowstone. Clean place. The hallway to our room was quite dark and I felt a little unsafe in the neighborhood. It's on the main drag through the older part of Rapid City. Large place. Room for all of us.

Perfect for us!

Place was exactly as advertised and perfect for my family of 5. Close to attractions and places to eat, was great! Had 1 tiny hiccup with the TVs when we got there but the property manager answered immediately and even offered to come by! We were able to do a little trouble shooting and had them up and going in minutes. Definitely recommend and would stay again. Unfortunately my 6 year old forgot her bear country magnet there so if you see that on the fridge it's from us hahaha! Seriously great place to stay!

Wow, just wow

For the price this place was awesome. Clean, spacious, comfortable and on south edge of Rapid City right on Mt Rushmore Road. Outside the road noise is pretty bad, but the room was well insulated and quiet. We were 4 friends who were in Black Hills for hiking and bicycling and it worked great. Next time my wife and I go to Rapid I think we will stay here.

Quick vacay

If you expect the ritz or brand new then this is not the place for you. If you want simple clean comfort when you are not out sightseeing, this maybe what you are looking for. The kitchen is only lacking an oven so it’s still very helpful to have. Furniture is older but in decent condition. The bathroom is small but you’re not there for a spa. Beds were very soft. A/C units create great white noise that drown out any traffic noise from the street. Unit we stayed in is very large.

Huge space for family of 5

This space was great for our family. Comfortably stayed for 3 nights. It is close to everything in Rapid City. The host was quick to respond when we requested extra comforters. There was a lot of road noise. The room we had was above the office and right on the busy road. We brought sound machines and it was still loud. The curtains didn’t do a great job blocking the outside light and we had to block the window on the door with a towel to block the light right outside the door. The listing said sleeps 6, but there were only 4 of each dish, so we had to wash and share. There was trash and other detritus from previous guests under the beds, and they were not the greatest quality mattress. No streaming services on the tv, so we just used tablets. Check in/out was super easy. If light and noise are issues for you sleeping, I would request to be further away from the road.

Great for family with older kids

This was a great room for our family of 5 with boys ages 11-15. 2 had their own beds and one took the couch. The king bed was perfect for my husband and I. Awesome rates too! Thanks for the sleep!
