We only allow dogs in our pet friendly rooms. One dog is free, but the second is an additional $25 one time. Please let us know if you are bringing a second dog.

The old motor lodge re-invented! We recently took two hotel rooms and combined into one nice kitchenette suite. All new bathrooms, kitchens, doors, windows, lock system and furniture. Still has the old radiators and wall mounted AC units that we just couldn't find a way around, but they work great! An excellent base camp to enjoy the Black Hills and Badlands. Owners are avid hikers and mountain bikers who have lived in the area their entire lives. Happy to help get you pointed in the right direction.

The Sojourn Vacation Rentals and Flats offers modern, fully furnished flats in Rapid City, SD. Apartment 306 includes a kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, and cooktop. There is a living space and private bedroom. There is a patio available for guest’s relaxation and enjoyment.

The Sojourn is conveniently located for travelers looking to visit Mt. Rushmore, the Black Hills, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, Sturgis, and more. This property is nonsmoking.

The kitchenettes are perfect for the vacationer or longer term out of town employee who needs some local housing. Located on Mt. Rushmore Road. 1.5 miles to downtown Rapid City, 26 miles to Mt. Rushmore. Local hiking and biking trail heads as close as .5 miles from property. Great selection of restaurants and stores in walking distance. .75 miles from Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Notes

We use the KeyCafe automated check in system so you can arrive anytime after 3pm.  The booking code and instructions will be sent via txt and email on the day of arrival.  Of course, we are happy to assist!  If we aren't on the property when you arrive we are near by.

I’ve stayed here a few times on trips across the country, and it has been a great place. Love that most rooms have a kitchen, so I have everything I need right there.

Was a great location for where we needed to be for the weekend. Overall place was alright. Attention to cleaning as light/fan in bathroom was gross, as well as both a/c units. The microwave didnt work so couldnt reheat any meals. Prices were good compared to other places.

The room was ok only thing that could have made things a bit better was if it had a queen bed. Outside benches and sidewalks and front windows could have definitely used a good cleaning. I’ll try it again next time

The room smelled horrible, the bed was awful, not hardly anything to cook with not even salt and pepper! We ended up leaving a day early because we couldn’t stand the smell and our backs hurt from the bed! The hot water was good, the furniture looked and felt like it had been there and used since the 1970’s!

The layout of the apartment was weird. The bed was small and uncomfortable. It was very saggy. I thought I was going to roll off. Two people wouldn't work in this bed. The hide a bed was a small futon that was well worn and had no bedding,. I had to call to find out where I needed to go to get some. The handsoap was empty and had to use dishsoap to wash my hands until I found a new bottle (in a random place) the next morning. The room definitely looked better on the ad than in person. Out of the 9 places we stayed on our trip, this was the worst. I will not be going back.

Just what we needed

This place was great! Right in the middle of everything we had planned to do. The owner was fabulous to talk to along with the staff...super friendly and helpful! Being able to have our dogs with us was awesome! Thanks for a great stay....we will be back!
