If you prefer to dine at home the kitchen is well equipped - you won't even need to head out for coffee, Nespresso Pod Machine is provided (BYO coffee pods). Mission Dreaming accommodates a maximum of 4 guests, with the queen innerspring sofa bed in the living area you can accommodate a family of 4 or 2 couples. Unpack and start your adventure. Just a short stroll and you can be enjoying a walk along the golden sands of South Mission Beach whilst taking in the view to Dunk Island and Bedarra Island across the Coral Sea. Some days they look like “Cardboard Cut Outs”. If you like to rise early – watching sunrise over Dunk Island is a real treat. Perhaps you would like to try a spot of fishing. If you have your boat Mission Dreaming is only a few minutes drive from Hull River Boat Ramp or South Mission Beach Boat Ramp. Or why not try your luck fishing from the beach. Bring your catch home and cook a feast on the BBQ. If not lucky with your catch walk to Mission Thai, Beachcomber Coconut Café or Tuskers at the Life Saving Club for your evening meal. For those who like discovering, Mission Dream is a great base to stay. A few minutes’ drive you can be walking in the rainforest searching for the elusive cassowary in one of the most beautiful Licuala Palm forests you could imagine. Or pack a picnic and enjoy the Edmund Kennedy Walking Track at the southern end of the beach. A little secret…. You may even have a visit from the local wandering cassowaries at Mission Dreaming. Just imagine that. The quaint shopping village of Mission Beach is approx. 10 mins drive away. Take a morning relaxing as you browse through the shops and galleries. Lunch at one of the cafes. Or for the more adventurous a day out on the Great Barrier Reef on The Reef Goddess is a must or take a day drive and discover some of our waterfalls and swimming holes. If you are boating enthusiast you have a choice of 2 boat ramps. There is the beach boat ramp at the end of Kennedy Esplanade or the Hull River boat ramp offering a pontoon for you to tie up to. Not wishing to cook... Mission Thai is just down the road... dine in or if staying at Ohana - South Mission Beach we recommend a take away dinner and dine on your balcony enjoying your surrounds. You may also like to enjoy a relaxed meal at Tuskers. Woolworths Supermarket at Wongaling Beach is just a 5 - 10 min drive. The quaint shopping village of Mission Beach offers a selection of cafes, restaurants, bars. There is also Lenny’s Local Fruit & Vegetable store and a great convenience store. You will be tempted at Helen Wiltshire Gallery or one of the fashion or gift stores. The new swimming pool is located at Mission Beach including a hydrotherapy pool. The “Dunk and Splash” water play pad is on the foreshore of Wongaling Beach. The first and third Sunday of each month there a markets in the Ulysses park at Mission Beach. The Mission Beach Monster Markets are held on the last Sunday of each month from Easter Sunday until November. These are also located at Ulysses park at Mission Beach. It is great fun strolling around the village shops and galleries. During the stinger months (November to May) there is a stinger enclosure at South Mission Beach. It is recommended to have a car when staying at South Mission Beach. Another option available is hiring a push bike. This is a great way to get out and about Mission Beach.
