We were happy to find the kitchen to be fully stocked with good pans and sharp knives (which isn’t always the case with cabin rentals). We enjoyed the large table for both eating meals and playing board games. Most of us really enjoyed the hot tub. Beds were comfortable and clean. We made use of the skating rink and the kids enjoyed sledding at the CC at the end of the road. We had a good time. Except for one issue we had and it was a pretty big one. The temperature inside the cabin when we arrived was 15C. We loaded the wood stove right away & got a fire going. I checked the thermostat & it was calling for 20 ish. We found cool almost cold air blowing constantly from the vents for most of our stay which may be normal with heat pumps. I was up adding wood to the fireplace for extra warmth 3 times throughout the first night. We found the bedrooms very cool. I would recommend leaving all the doors open. The vents were blowing cool air almost nonstop even though the furnace was calling for heat. The fan was constant & was somewhat loud but got even louder when the heat pump was actually blowing heat. We sent a message to the hosts about a possible furnace issue midway through the 1st night. There was a warning on the thermostat saying something like the furnace was “trying to heat for 3 hours” they got back to us in the morning notifying us that “The longer cooler run time is common for heat pumps… The heat is defiantly working”. We will not be back, at least not in winter.
