Our host was amazing, husband got locked out and luckily they live close so he was able to give him a spare key, great place to relax and rejuvenate, lots of space for our dogs to roam, fully fenced.

Thoroughly recommend

We spent a couple of nights here and had a great time - bonus that we could bring our dog who loved the grounds. Lovely little spot, had everything we needed, Dion was very easy to communicate with - all in we thoroughly recommend.

Really special place

Absolutely loved our time here. The space is well thought out and very well equipped with everything you need. So many options for outdoor eating, relaxing and snoozing under the shady trees. Photos do not do the place justice. The dog loved her holiday too, awesome swimming spot just at the end of the road.

Escape from city

This place is amazing overall! My puppy loved the yard, bbq was clean (most of the accommodations didn't care), and I and my husband could relax escaping from the city. The beach and restaurant near AvoInn were fantastic as well. Thanks for the avos. Thanks Dion!

Magical little retreat away from busy lives

An absolutely beautiful little place perfect to unwind and switch off from the stresses of busy work lives. Very quiet and private, a wonderfully cosy little space with a spacious deck and lush gardens to enjoy on a good day. Our dog Max loved the stay as much as we did! Having a hot outdoor bath under the night sky was a particular highlight. Dion is very respectful of your privacy and we didn't see him during our stay, but he is a great communicator and always quick to respond if you have any questions or issues. We wish we stayed more than 2 nights!

Absolute beautiful little spot. Has everything you need. A little slice of paradise. Very private, clean and comfortable. It was so good to relax and unwind with a good book and glass of wine and watch the birds flittering amongst the trees and leaves and listening to the cooing of the little owls at night. I will return! 2 nights wasn’t long enough. Thank you for hosting me 😊

A Special Homely Space, that bit Different from your Day to Day Home

It is the most amazing space. Perfectly planned and designed to give you that time away, without being too far away from anything! AVOCADO Haven, secluded and beautiful. Everything provided that you could possibly need. Dion was so very accommodating to deal with from the onset. He was also kind and an amazing host when I had the chance to meet him when the stay was complete. Thanks Dion, for creating something so special for people to appreciate!

There was no water after 10.30am to use toilet. Had to go to nearest gas station otherwise everything else was "ka pai". Would recommend stay to anybody.

Beautiful outside area on the property, perfect for lounging around in the sun with company. Plenty of comfortable garden furniture and a nice secluded feeling. Totally fenced in, dog loved it. Caravan is small but well stocked with everything you need. Outdoor kitchen and BBQ are clean and well looked after, though the BBQ cooks a little unevenly on some of the burners. The separate bathroom is nice with a great shower, but only has one little solar light in there which isn't ideal for night time as it doesn't give off that much light. Still, it's enough, and miles better than using a tiny caravan bathroom. Cool setup. Host was friendly and helpful, though the property was managed well enough that we didn't need them to intervene for anything in the end. The location is a little outside town - we came to Tauranga for the cricket, this place was an easy 25-minute drive from the Bay Oval, so pretty convenient really. Overall Avo Inn is a lovely spot. Our only complaints were that we had to deal with some sizeable cockroaches in the caravan on our first couple of nights (hosts had thankfully provided insect spray!), and that the front gate is incredibly fiddly (especially when leaving, as the latch only opens from the outside). But besides that this is a fantastic place to stay.

Glamping at it's best

What a great relaxing experience. You feel like you are in your own piece of private paradise. One of the best things is they allowed our doggo to come along. This was great as it's fully fenced and allowed him to also enjoy his time away from home. I would have to say the bed was scrumptious and the shower has no words except, best shower ever. I highly recommend as it's also super easy to get back into town if you need to go. Way better then a hotel
