We absolutely loved our stay here! The host was helpful with the check in process and the cabin had everything we could need. 10/10 would stay here again!

Wonderful maine vacation

The cabin was wonderful!! Perfect for me and my daughters. Prefect to stay in and relax and within driving distance to all the wonder of maine! Will definitely be back!

Nice Place!

Quaint home with nice touches and thoughts put into the interior. Also well “stocked” as far as things needed during a stay. Peaceful and quiet. Good proximity to Belfast (which we thought was a really cool town).

Peaceful setting

We had a great stay in this cottage. It was spotlessly clean, well appointed and comfortable. Host was responsive when we missed the driveway upon arrival and helped us right away. It is close to many great day trips. We would love to stay longer next time!

A quiet cottage

The property was very clean and comfortable. It wasn't far from Belfast where there are restaurants, shops and a grocery store. Its location made it possible to travel south to Pemaquid and north to Acadia National Park for sight seeing and hiking.

Perfect Cottage!

My family and I really enjoyed Labor Day Weekend in this lovely cottage. Very quiet and private, yet close to everything we wanted to see. The boys (and our dog) loved running around in the huge yard, and the bunk area was perfect for some evening movie watching. The cottage had everything we needed and more. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Lovely quiet location

This property was spotless, well appointed and comfortable. It had everything we needed for our weekend stay. Would love to come for a longer stay. Beautiful, quiet location. We missed the driveway but our host answered our call immediately and helped us spot it right away! Close to many options for day adventures!

Wonderful Waldo Retreat!

We had a wonderful stay in Waldo and would highly recommend this property. It is quiet and peaceful. The hosts are accessible and accommodating. We enjoyed exploring the towns of Belfast, Camden, Liberty and Bangor. Thank you for sharing your awesome home with us! We will definitely be back!!

Perfect girls trip

This little cottage in the woods was perfect for a girls trip in June! The flowers were freshly blooming and the sun was shining all week. We cooked our own breakfast every morning to save money and enjoyed the books and games they had to offer on the shelves when we weren’t exploring the towns and trails nearby. I would definitely recommend a stay here for any period of time.

My family and I had an amazing stay here. They had amenities stocked that I had forgotten to bring. The property was beautiful, the place was clean, and the guest book was filled with people who also had wonderful experiences. It felt like a home away from home and we all hope to stay there again some day. A million thank yous to the owners.

Great hidden gem!

We loved our stay and were so grateful to have a place to come home to after long days at the lake with our (local) family. Location is definitely off the beaten path and it’s very easy to miss the driveway at night without any markers but easy enough with GPS. The grounds/gardens were beautiful! If we didn’t have family nearby to visit, we would have loved enjoying/exploring the outdoor space. The home was stocked with anything you might need, extra blankets/pillows to all the kitchen gadgets and even recipes on the cabinet doors. Lots of activities for kids as well. We’ll definitely be saving this for future visits! Thanks for a great stay!

A very nice cabin the woods

The cabin is beautiful, well equipped, and an easy drive to Belfast. Communication with the property managers was excellent. Belfast is very nice and the walk along the river was just excellent. Aside from groceries we only did window shopping which was abundant. I marked the location three stars as the woods, as you would expect, were very buggy with very many ticks. Not a great spot for dogs. Otherwise very nice and we enjoyed our stay.

Peaceful, well-appointed, clean, perfectly located, and beautiful - just as described.

We (family of four and dog) were comfortable and happy in our six-night stay at this wonderful cottage in the Waldo woods outside Belfast, our first sightseeing trip to Maine in decades. It was just as described and perfectly situated for multiple Maine adventures. We had just about everything we needed but clothes and groceries — it was the best appointed rental we’ve been in. The kind owners were immediately responsive when we had momentary trouble with the door lock and talked us through it until it was resolved. They informed us later when they were going to pop over to mow the lawn after a long rainy spell broke, and it was a pleasure to meet them as we set off for new sights. They even left a dog frisbee after meeting our lab! They were also generous and gracious about sharing information on sights nearby and were so kind. The towels and sheets, provided, were high quality. The appliances were new and it appears the house has been well and recently renovated. There were plenty of games and toys. They even had k cups and individually packaged snacks like cookies, breakfast bars, and biscotti in a basket for us. The piano could use a tuning, but who expects a piano in a rental at all, let alone a tuned one? The cottage was charming and peaceful, the stars on the clear nights were spectacular, and we loved the nightly concerts of bullfrogs in the pond and occasional owls calling to each other, as well as the unparalleled morning birdsong serenades (which did not wake us up, as this small house is well insulated). The AC worked well in the heat wave. We would rent this place again in an instant and do hope to return someday.

Just as described

We didn't spend a lot of time in the cabin, but it was a clean and comfy home base for our travels. Our 5 yr old loved the bunk beds and the toys (and the piano) and had fun finding the little birds and animal decorations throughout the cabin. The cabin is quiet and secluded, but just a short drive from Belfast, which is one of the most charming towns we saw in Maine.

This was the most peaceful experience we’ve ever had renting a property. It’s close to Belfast if you need somewhere to eat and drink, but the cottage is so warm and inviting we just wanted to stay.

From Va to Belfast Maine

Absolutely loved our cabin. 3 adult women here visiting my son who moved her in June 22. We shopped ,ate and did a few road trips. Cooked one meal for all of the family. Weather was in 60’s in Oct. Had a great 5 days.
