Fantastic place

Wonderful older home with modern amenities. Hosts were great! Close to skiing and snow tubing/skating. I highly recommend this property. I will be back!!

Absolutely Awesome And Amazing - great property, clean, cozy and comfortable with everything you need supplied. Great hosts that made sure everything was perfect and helped with information of things to do and places to go. Close to Quebec City, tubing and skiing. Highly recommended, will be back.

Charming country home near city

We absolutely loved this home. Charming older farmhouse that is well kept and sits on the most beautiful property. Serge was amazing, even came by and made up maple toffee in the snow! Such a nice man and great host!!!

Beautiful and spacious

We came to visit Quebec City for our daughter’s birthday. The teens enjoyed the hot tub and watching movies, followed by the campfire. The adults enjoyed the large gazebo and great kitchen. Our son enjoyed the play structure and space to play outside. It was a very beautiful house with everything you need and the owners were very helpful and responsive with suggestions for groceries and the local bakery. Highly recommend.

Pleasant farm house in range of city, slopes and river

Photos are accurate. The place was impeccably clean. The location is reasonable for access to ski slopes and river activity. It is an easy drive to the city. We went to town two of our three nights and did not consider it too far. Night times in the hot tub are quiet, crisp, and full of the fresh forrest air. Don't forget fresh eggs in the fridge picked from the coop in the rear. No roosters, so no wake up call. Would stay here again.

A gem of a place

I booked this place for me, my husband and our two friends. The place was spotless and cozy with a fire in the hearth when we arrived. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment for anything you’d want to cook. The hot tub was a wonderful feature to come back to after a day of skiing. There were groomed trails for walking just in the back of the house. The host was quick to respond to messages and very kind. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a pet friendly, family friendly getaway! I hope to be back one day. Merci!!

A perfect place!

We stayed at this property for a long weekend with the intention of spending our days in the city and evenings relaxing in the country and this house was perfect for that! The property is lovely, well maintained and perfect for families with kids of all ages. The house had so much charm! It was spacious, extremely well outfitted with everything we needed, and it was super clean and comfortable. The outside temps were sunny and around 29 daily but the downstairs of the house stayed quite cool and the upstairs had plenty of fans and with the windows open we were very comfortable sleeping especially for people used to AC it really never felt too hot at any time. The screen room outside was the perfect spot for us, we ate our dinners there, played games, and read books all with the perks of being outside but without the bugs! The drive to the city, the aquarium, and the falls was pretty convenient and there were some great places out near the house that were great to check out as well (La Souche microbrewery had awesome food and beer and it was a quick drive). All in all we had a perfect vacation staying here and would absolutely recommend it to friends and family!

Canada Day Summer Weekend in Valcartier

I will start by saying that the hosts are absolutely wonderful in every way. They were extremely helpful and quick to respond to our queries. This property is excellent for young families. It has tons of green space for everyone to run around in, a small play ground and it is only 10 minutes to the village where there are water parks and a free outdoor baby pool, splash pad and park. The hot tub at the property is in great condition and the place is really well set up with everything you may need. The outdoor gazebo is perfect for keeping the bugs away. There doesn’t appear to be a lot of summer reviews so a few things to consider for summer time is that there is no AC in this house if that is something that is really important for your stay. Additionally one of the main floor areas and one small room upstairs don’t have screens so they can get a bit warm (the hosts may be working on adding screens). Would definitely recommend & you can’t beat the location.

The hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful, with great communication. The house was enjoyable and cozy with a well equipped kitchen. Beautiful setting with trails in the forest and a lit tobogganing hill!

L'hôte nous a accueilli avec un feu dans la cheminée, le chalet était ainsi chaud et accueillant à notre arrivée. Le chalet est très bien équipé, en plus d'être adorable. Nous avons adoré notre séjour!

Séjour en famille parfait

Nous avons séjourné durant une semaine. Nous avons apprécié la proximité de Valcartier et Stoneham. Belle patinoire extérieure réfrigérée au village. Le foyer et le spa étaient très appréciés au retour des journées d’activités. Le chalet est simple mais tout y est. Bonne communication avec les hôtes. C’est un endroit calme et tranquille, nous avons beaucoup aimé.

Site idéal

Nous étions un groupe de quatre retraités qui organisaient une retrouvaille. Nous souhaitions passer quelques jours entourés de nature et recevoir quelques amis pour un souper collectif un des soirs où nous étions sur le site. Tout a été absolument parfait (même la météo...) et la collaboration des propriétaires impeccable. Nous recommandons fortement !

Maison québécoise telle que je l'imaginais avec le charme de l'ancien et la chaleur du bois sans oublier les grands volumes ! Parfait pour 8 personnes (5 adultes , 2 ado et 1 enfant). Très belle maison pour de reposer et s imprégner de la région de Quebec

La maison de Martine et Serge est très agréable, propre et très grande et contribue à nous imprégner du Québec. Un grand mer pour toutes les petites attentions également ! Le cadre est magnifique. Les enfants ont pu profiter de l extérieur avec les jeux toboggan et le terrain de volley aussi les poules ! Nous avons pu nous rendre à la Jacques Cartier pour faire le sentier de l éperon et aller visiter Québec city mais aussi le site amérindien Wendake. Un souci, une question ? Un très bel endroit

Nous avons passé un beau séjour en famille à La Beauchemin. Nous avons apprécié le gazebo extérieur pour les repas en famille. Les enfants ont adoré visiter les poules le matin et ramasser leurs œufs . Il n’a pas fait super chaud durant notre séjour et une chance qu’il y avait des ventilateurs dans les chambres car sans climatisation, ca peut devenir très chaud dans les chambres . Seul petit point qui devrait être ajouté dans la description pour éviter la confusion, la rivière n’est pas accessible directement du chalet . Les photos me l’avaient laissé croire et nous avons été un peu déçus de constater que nous devions emprunter une route très passante et dangereuse avec des enfants en bas âge pour s’y rendre . Néanmoins, Nous y sommes allés en voiture et avons apprécié. La proximité du village village vacances Valcartier a été la raison de notre choix de chalet et nous avons apprécié. Nous avons aussi visité une petite pisciculture où les enfants ont pu pêcher leurs premiers poissons à environ 15 minutes de route . Nous n’avons pas rencontré les propriétaires en personne puisque l’accueil se fait avec une serrure électronique. Ils ont été très réactifs aux messages lorsque nous avons eu besoin de leur parler. Lorsqu’on loue avec de jeunes enfants, malheureusement il arrive parfois de petits incidents et ils ont étés indulgents avec nous . Bref nous avons apprécié notre séjour et recommandons cet endroit.

Séjour parfait pour décrocher.

Nous sommes tombés sur le meilleur endroit pour profiter d’un week-end d’hiver à proximité du parc de La Jacques-Cartier. En plus, tout le nécessaire pour une jeune famille y était déjà (jeux, parc, chaise haute, etc…) 10/10

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour entre amis dans la maison de Serge mi-juillet. Nous étions 9 et la maison Endroit très agréable, Serge et Martine sont très accueillants et très réactifs. Le spa est un plus très appréciable Je recommande pour découvrir la région de Québec.
