Hermosa cabaña Trail Echo Cerca del Boundary Waters

Disfrute de su estancia en nuestra cómoda casa Everett lago! La casa es grande, cómodo y situado en cinco acres con más de 700 pies de la orilla del lago.

La cabina cuenta con tres habitaciones y un altillo, con capacidad para 10. Tiene dos chimeneas, dos baños, una cocina totalmente equipada, gran terraza y excelentes vistas de Everett Lake.

La casa se encuentra en el Camino de Echo, cerca de las aguas fronterizas y al lago de Burntside. En el verano, usted puede navegar en canoa a través de Everett y corto portage le llevará en Twin Lakes, el río Muerto y el Lago Burntside. Otra portage en la propiedad le llevará al hermoso lago Fenske. Hay una maldita castor en la propiedad y otros animales salvajes abundan en la zona. Dos canoas de aluminio siempre.

En el invierno, la casa está bien aislada y fácil de calentar. Aproveche abundante esquí de fondo y la nieve-Moto en la Pequeña Grassy Trail. Escuchar a los lobos y, si tiene suerte, ver la aurora boreal.

NUEVO: Sauna finlandesa en el sótano. Relájese en la sauna de cedro tradicional antes de irse a la cama. Si eres valiente - correr a la nieve!

Ideally located for hiking, visiting the Wolf and Bear Centers as well as the Moulter cabins. Comfortable beds with quality sheets and good ventilation throughout the cabin. Host was very responsive.

Wonderful log house for a family visit to the Echo trail. Could use another couch or 2 in the kitchen fireplace area and kitchen sitting area. Water pressure is on the low side. Overall, we would stay there again.

Wonderful Cabin/Home on the Echo Trail

We spent a nice week outside of Ely on Everett Lake. 2 canoes, kayaks and 2 paddle boards all with paddles and vests were part of the package. Our grandkids saw deer, a beaver and a turtle - they were busy outdoors. We loved the sauna and big table we sat around at meals together.

Great Winter Getaway!

Great spot for a winter getaway. Access to the the lake for XC skiing (or snowmobiling), with trails to the neighboring lake. Close to the north arm trails for skiing too. Loved the sauna! Plenty of space for our family of 6. Would stay here again!

Nice location on Echo trail

Spent a quick weekend snowmobiling. Very well located for this (trail next to property but low traffic). Had some issues with heat and water that were manageable and being addressed by the owner who made things right.

Beautiful place

This is the second year we’ve stayed at this cabin. The lake is very private and quiet. We love being able to kayak and paddle board without worrying about boats speeding by. The cabin is also well equipped and it’s not too far to town. There are also hiking trails close by.

Great lake cabin with room for activities

Great place to get away from it all with ample sleeping space for 8 people. Very pleasant, functional cabin. Access to Everett lake for some cross country skiing. We saw fox tracks, and maybe bobcat.

Haven in the deep woods

Magical find! Whole and pups stayed in this adorable cabin in the beautiful north woods! Kayaks, canoes, games, trails, close to Ely and a public swimming hole as well as Bear Head Lake State Park. Wolf Center, Bear Center and more! Stars at night are stunning, lake is quiet & beautiful, and cabin has everything you need!

Ely cabin

We loved our stay at this property! It is in a beautiful, peaceful setting. The lake is the perfect size. We enjoyed the kayaks and canoes available to our family, the sauna and Foosball were fun editions. We were able to all have our own bedrooms and we loved the large common areas for relaxation and family fun! The kitchen had all the needed supplies, as well as linens and towels. We appreciated the quick response from the owner of questions we had!

Ely with family.

Pet friendly cabin has lots of space and is well equiped. The kitchen had everthing we needed to prepare meals. The large dining area was great for meals together and playing games. It easily slept 8 adults. The location is convenient to Ely. Wifi wasnt working but Sean was quick to respond.

Edge of the BWCAW Echo Trail

Very nice house with an up to date kitchen. Definitely enjoyed the induction stove as we have in our own home. Plenty of paddling toys. We enjoyed beautiful lake paddle with swans and mergansers. Also enjoyed many beautiful nearby hiking opportunities. Thank you for the booklet of information about local hikes. As huge tennis fans we also enjoyed live tennis on Cable TV!!! What an unexpected treat. Thank you.

Lovely home

We enjoyed our stay at the Echo cabin. The owner accommodated us by allowing early check in, which was very much appreciated. There was plenty of room for everyone and we enjoyed spending time on the deck and in the common area playing games with family. There was a problem with water pressure in the cabin for a couple of days, but the owner walked us through getting it fixed, and was very helpful in this regard, getting it resolved. Everett Lake is a beautiful little lake and we enjoyed exploring neighboring lakes as well. Great fishing on Fenske!!

Ely retreat

Cabin was spacious with great amenities! Downsides are proximity to Echo Trail road and public trail that runs alongside one end of property. We had a group of fisherman drive their boats down to lake one afternoon. Driveway must be shared for public use. Lake is very quiet. I can’t recall if posting mentioned you can’t swim from shoreline. Owner provided paddle boards, kayaks & canoes for paddling & exploring the lake. Cabin would be great to visit in winter when lake is frozen. That said, overall we enjoyed our stay!

Loved our stay here!

We loved our stay at the Echo Trail cabin! The property and cabin was so neat-you get your own private nature trail to the lake. Our first day there we paddled around Everett Lake and took the short portage to Twin lakes. It was beautiful—even if we did get rained on. The location of the cabin puts you right in between Ely and all the other adventures Echo Trail has to offer. The house itself was very roomy and comfortable. Bedding and towels were all clean, and the kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed to eat in the cabin. Now, the house has its character—there are a few quirky things. For us, it all just added to the charm and making the place the feel like a homey, up-north cabin. None of it, however, detracted from a wonderful stay and week. We’ve been doing an annual trip to that area for a decade and hope to be able to stay again.

Property needs some attention

Pros: Location near Ely and BWCA, large house, well equipped with towels, etc...Kayaks and canoes provided.Cons: Water pressure an issue all week. We had to replace a filter ourselves with owner on the phone. He said he was too far away to do it and getting a plumber would take a month. Plumbing needs overall. Had to deal with the filter later in the week. Owner needs to have a handyman near if he is not in town to address issues. Guest should not have to fix things.Mice: Saw several. While it is not unexpected to see mice in country home the exterminator needs to be called to resolve the issue. Had to store all our food in fridge or coolers.Windows: No blinds on large upstairs main bedroom windows. Knew this after we rented. Would help if owner could get some blinds installed.Lake: Nice lake but can't swim off or near dock due to vegetation in the water. Other: One bedroom only had one light working. We tried to replace bulbs but they didn't work. House has no AC. We knew that but it did get very humid when the temperature increased.

Sean and Joselyn met in the Bay Area, but soon after getting married, Sean managed to drag Joselyn back to his native Minnesota. As a Californian, she was skeptical at first, but fell in love with the North Woods after her first dogsledding adventure. Today they live in Minneapolis with their three wonderful kids, but get up North every chance they get.

Joselyn and I found ourselves returning to Ely again and again, mostly the YMCA Camp DuNord. Over the years, we started to look at properties, including another one on Everett Lake but could never find anything that was just right. Ironically, we had noticed our cabin a number of times as we drove the Echo Trail, commenting on how nice it looked. Then one day in June 2006, I was browsing the Bear Island Land Co. website and found this place for sale. Joselyn was out of town, so I called the realtor, packed his camping gear and drove up an hour later. I made an offer the next day. We haven't regretted it for a moment, and can't believe our luck to own such a place.
