Great stay! Had a great time and the place was really cool. Great to be so close to the marina and watch the boats coming and going. Was great to be able to bring the dog as well- although not fully fenced. Great stay and thanks for sharing your bach with us!

What a wonderful stay, great location, warm and cosy, friendly correspondence.We came to bring my elderly Mother and Aunty to visit the area where they had a bach as children. A typo in a message from Raylene had us arrive at 2 Moa Rd, we found out later that day that was the site of the old bach.

Kaikoura Cottage

An old "dog friendly" cottage that has been modernized with double glazed windows, heat pump, new appliances (fridge, microwave, stove, tv ....). Very comfortable stay. It is opposite the boat launch and they launch boats from 4:00 am so take some earplugs. Good value for money.

The location and setup seemed to be ok. Unfortunately, when we arrived, other guests had already taken occupation of the cottage. Once we had gotten in contact with the owner, it was confirmed that we were expected to be there and the other occupants did not belong. It turned out that they had booked the following weekend. We were given other accommodation, not up to the same standard we had booked (including one less bed - forced to share) and it cost $100 less. We were put out and the owner makes $100 on the deal, what the actual?? We tried to negotiate a partial refund but not accepted by the owner. Seems an unreasonable solution, quite disappointing.

The South Bay Getaway

Relaxing and comfortable holiday home in South Bay with beautiful views of the sea. Welcoming, helpful and friendly host. Loved watching boats loading off and on the ramp opposite and walks around the bay.

Kaikōura stay

Was right across from beach and whale watch excursions. Not flashy but Very clean and tidy. Easy to find and everything we needed. Had difficulty on the website but communication with the host was very quick and problem efficiently solved. Recommend

Amazing Location!

We loved our stay in South Bay! Gorgeous scenery and so much to do. The hosts were warm & welcoming & we appreciate being allowed to have our fur babies come for the holiday. Recommend this 100%

The castle

We were very impressed with the location of the property very special place with ocean views and ringside seat for watching boats being pulled up ramp by sturdy little tractors. The fittings were very comfortable and clean and warm. So relaxing, would definitely go again any time.

House with a view

Awesome watching all the boats going in and out. Not so good at 4am tho. The single beds were great the double was as hard as rock. That bed is the only downfall.

Very special location

Right on the water's edge, overlooking the small harbour, watching the sunset... Very quiet location, all amenities provided... We could have easily stayed for longer...
