We really enjoyed our stay and the views from this property are outstanding. Very comfortable bed and furniture. The property is vintage but clean. Feedback for owners: The windows in the kitchen need blinds so one is not on full display with the neighbors. Go through towels and change out the spotted items. Would also be good to repaint the interior, there are some areas that need it. For future guests, the entrance is on the ocean side. Also, be warned that the driveway is short, and steep so recommend pulling in and then turning vehicle around so one does not try to back out onto the highway.

The house was clean, and the living room was perfect. its an older house so the bathrooms are a little awkward and small even for kids. The beds are hard they could use foam toppers. The kitchen is stocked but the pans arent great if you plan on cooking, you really need good pans for electric stoves. The kids loved the beach the steps are a great workout for all of us. The view of Cape Arago lighthouse is amazing all day long and thre are lots of great trails very close by.

Unbelievable Views!

We have stayed at this rental multiple times over the years, it is by far one of the best view rentals on the Oregon Coast. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is a cozy, quiet location in close proximity to Charleston and Shore Acers State Park.

Great location.

Us and another retired couple stayed 2 nights at the Cliffside Lighthouse home. We loved the location. View of the light house and ocean was awesome and the stairs to the beach were very convenient. The house was very clean and enjoyed the fire pit that was ready for us. The washer and dryer were nice but in the detached garage. Property is vintage but very nice.

The house is idealic but aged, which is fine. Its is like the lighthouse on the bluff from it weathered from the ocean. The location is a little slice of peace and heaven on earth. It could use a few updates but all and all we really enjoyed our stay.

We (myself, husband, and three kids) had an amazing time! The views were breathtaking! The house was stocked with everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. It was so nice to have direct access to the beach right outside the backdoor. We drove 14 hours to get there and will gladly do it again in the future.

Great view!

Lovely time staying here. The view is incredible, can't beat the sunsets. There's a great stairway to the beach, (59 steps!), that's more intimidating than reality. The house is a bit dated but very comfy. We will likely be back sometime in the future.

The View

The entrance to the home is in the backyard and as I walked back there, I was immediately stunned by the gorgeous view. I arrived around sunset and it was stunning with the glow behind the lighthouse and over the crashing waves. Upon entering, I found the house to be completely immaculate. The kitchen was well stocked with kitchenware and dishes. The bathrooms had enough towels and there was a closet with more linen and towels available. There was also a closet stocked with games. The living room is impressive with floor length windows that allow you to take in the view without even trying. There was plenty of seating available with several couches and recliners in the living room, as well as a large kitchen table. The two bedrooms were also immaculate. The large window in the master bedroom also allows you to take in the view. The view, while consisting of the lighthouse and ocean also allows you to see the beautiful and well maintained yard and garden. (I live in the desert and we don’t have a lot of green grass). The only hiccup was initially getting in. The moisture in the air has warped the door, so you have to pull it tight when entering the code so it will catch to unlock. Also, the neighbor across the street has a friendly off leash dog that came over a couple of times. The dog wouldn’t leave until his owner came to get him so something to be aware of if you bring your own dogs. There is direct access to the beach by way of a lot of stairs, which feels like even more when you’re heading back up. Keep in mind, the house is literally on a cliff. We mostly had the beach to ourselves when we went. You’ll find driftwood and large kelp washed on shore. The waves are rougher in this area and not something I’d be comfortable swimming in. Overall, we had a lovely, quiet time. My dogs and I enjoyed the comfort of the home and freedom on beach. The view was unmatched. I would stay here again if my travels brought me back.

Some challenges, but overall a great time

This is a beautiful, if somewhat dated property. The views are great, the kitchen was serviceable, and the neighborhood was quiet. Access to the beach really sealed the deal for us.A few issues.When we first arrived, the automatic deadbolt was sticking, so we weren't able to get in until we reached out to the manager. It seemed to work fine after that.Then, the doorknob of the garage door fell off. We fixed it as best we could without proper tools, and it functioned for the rest of the trip.The blinds in the living room were not properly attached, so one of them could not be closed. We fixed this as well.The dehumidifier filters were pretty moldy, so we took care of that, and it mitigated the mustiness quite a bit.The view, which was spectacular, was initially heavily obscured by dirty windows. We found a squeegee on a pole in the laundry room, and went to work with a hose. The windows were 10x better after a little elbow grease, even if we didn't do a perfect job.Overall, we had a great time. The needed repairs weren't ideal, but we still enjoyed our stay very much.

Amazing views

This waterfront home is in a fantastic location with breathtaking views. We loved taking in the sight of the Cape Arago Lighthouse each day. On our final evening, the skies cleared, treating us to a stunning sunset over the lighthouse.

Idyllic View, Comfortable Accommodation

We spend another three fabulous nights here. The house is comfortable and inviting, well kept and very clean. Our stays here are always a joy and we look forward to our next visit. The property managers are top notch, very responsive and work to make the stay as enjoyable as possible. We can't say enough about the house the view and experience of staying here. We highly recommend!

Beautiful, just beautiful!

Before we get into the prenominal view of this property, let me say that this house was probably the best equipped and most comfortable property we have ever stayed in! From the well equipped kitchen to the comfy furniture this place left nothing to be desired! They have thought of everything! The view is exceptional and the semi-private beach below is a haven for walking with the dog able to run free. This place has the room for a family and has a big closet full of games and puzzles for those wet Oregon Coast days inside. Lots of beach toys for kids in the garage. We were blessed with clear skies and fantastic December weather, but could easily stay here and watch it storm. Just a couple of notes. The stairs down to the beach were no problem for us, but they are steep. The view of the lighthouse and great beach are worth the effort. The driveway is steep and we found it best to back down rather than back up on the highway. It can be a bit confusing if dark. Also, there needs to be a working light on the side of the garage to illuminate the walk at night. Minor quibbles about an otherwise wonderful retreat in an absolutely beautiful spot!
