This recently built modern home away from home is perfect for family group trips. This 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home on the lake provides scenic views and is the perfect place to relax with your family and friends. Whether you want to read a book by the gas fireplace, have family game night, long walks on lake gravel roads, eat marshmallows around a camp fire, fishing, snowmobiling, sledding and cross-country skiing This lake isn’t just for the summer. Winter fun is ready to go! There is a hot tub but it’s only available in the summer months July, August and September

weekend stay

A great spot on the lake, enjoyed fishing off the dock and the large cottage gave us plenty of space to relax when the weather was not cooperating.

Lovely getaway

The rooms are all large with very comfortable furnishings. The host was extremely kind and quick to respond to messages. My parents fell in love with the location and want to come back in summer!

Perfect winter getaway!

This place was a wonderful place to stay with our large group of families with kids. Being lakefront made it easy for everyone to stay close while doing their own thing, be it skating, ice fishing or staying cozy inside. The cabin had tons of room for kids to camp out on the floor upstairs and very easily fit our group of six adults and eight kids.

Great stay great view

The place was amazing. Just like home. Spacious, clean and inviting. Well stocked pantry. Loved the double decks and the walkout patio doors. Communication with owner was prompt and helpful.

Beautiful setting

Beds at this property were not quite as listed in regards to the number of beds. Also didn't realize cell service would need a US plan. This was a wonderful lake front property with stunning views from the large deck. Angela is a great host and I would not hesitate to book this property again.

A dream come true

I had a wonderful stay. The whole house gave joy to my 5 senses. I enjoyed the deck, perfect for resting, doing yoga and enjoying a peaceful time. Their generosity was abundant. The bed was extremely comfortable. I can't recommend enough this place. Thank you so much! A memory to keep for the longest time.

Beautiful home in a quiet and awesome location

Everything about our stay was amazing. Angela was a great communicator, responding quickly to all questions with helpful information. This home has everything you need to enjoy your stay - from luxurious towels to a fully stocked kitchen and pantry. There is a lot of space and 4 different bedrooms to choose from. We slept up on the top floor, where there was plenty of space and a 3 piece bathroom. Two great decks to enjoy the outdoors, and a dock to try your hand at fishing (I had very good luck!). We would not hesitate to stay at this amazing property again.

Great Retreat

We had a blissfully peaceful get away for five nights at Angela’s Cottage. Our first time at Lake Metigoshe and we loved the location and area for walking the dog and exploring the ice. There happened to be an ice fishing derby on for one day. We had fun watching the tents and shacks set up with families, dogs, sleds busy on the ice from the warmth and comfort of the cozy living room! Loved the different weather (snow, fog, sunshine) and the great sunsets! We would recommend Angela’s cottage for couples, families and yes…pets! Angela was just great for communication and provided some special treats to make our stay extra pleasant! Loved the heated garage, the grill, big sunny windows and all that starlight! We went for a long weekend escape, rest and relaxation - this cottage was perfect!

Beautiful House Right on the Lake

We loved our stay!! Angela was so helpful and provided information on the area, detailed directions, and tips for area grocery stores. The house is beautiful. We loved all the little extra touches - they had everything we needed and more, including some welcome munchies, which was great since we didn’t have time to get groceries our first night. We had two adults and our dog. This is a great house for a larger group since there is definitely space! They provided fire pokers & marshmallows for the fire pit, but it happened to rain every night we stayed, so we played games instead (we brought our own, but they also had games provided). There are two decks that have amazing views of the lake. The lower deck was covered and it was so peaceful to sit out on the deck and listen to the rain. Each deck had plenty of patio furniture. The main bedroom is upstairs in a huge loft with a cute sitting area. We took Angela’s recommendation of eating at the cafe close by that had amazing burgers, breakfast sandwiches, and poutine. If you have people in your group with mobility issues (not an issue for us), there are quite a few stairs at the house, but there is a bedroom & full bathroom on the main floor where the main family space is and you can also access the deck, so that would be the best room for anyone with those needs. This place is a gem, largely because of the personal touches & communication. Loved it!
