LIVINGSTONE LODGE IS ONE OF A KIND! We are nestled in one of the most beautiful parts of the Canadian Rockies and Foothills of Alberta. Your private entry, spacious 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom suites is a short drive from many of the sights and activities in Pincher Creek, Beaver Mines, Castle Mountain and Waterton National Park. ATTENTION FISHERMAN! We are also minutes from the Oldman River. Guests enjoy private accommodation in our ranch styled home with a walkout basement designed for entertaining!

Relaxing

The location of the Livingstone Lodge is beautiful. My son and I were very impressed with how nice this lodge was. The Lodge was very clean and comfortable. We were able to recover after long days of hiking and fishing. Thanks Jesse

Delightful accommodation is a spectacular area .

We absolutely loved our stay at the lodge . Roomy , clean and superb surroundings. Jessie is an excellent host , great directions ,and kept checking in to see if all was OK and even kindly gave us permission for a photographer and wedding photos at the farm. They are spectacular. We BBQ’d for supper , had coffee in the morning watching Mama deer and her two fawns playing on the front yard . Wifi was excellent ! We will be back . Thanks very much .

Lovely property

We really enjoyed our stay. A couple things to note. There's no cell reception so it seems easier to get ahold of host by email as there is good WiFi at lodge. Accuracy of listing could be improved. We also wished there better seperation between owners upper floor residence and the lodge for guests. Having young kids trying to go up the stairs gets old. Overall though we really enjoyed our stay.

Great location for fishing!

The host wanted to change our dates 5 weeks before our PAID FOR AND BOOKED reservation because of a family wedding.. MAJOR ISSUE we had to shorten our stay as nothing else was available in the area The area we had is on the lower floor with stairs leading to a private residence There really is NO functional kitchen, bar sink, frying pans old and beat up, not enough pots, knives were dull with NO HANDLE on some of them. Table seats 6 tight but only 4 chairs and this rental property can sleep 10-12!! The host, when questioned about the kitchen, sent pictures of the upstairs kitchen.... she did allows us to use the upstairs kitchen, so we had access to a toaster and more kitchen equipment... not even a microwave downstairs and the coffee maker did not fit on the side board where we found it. The HOST was very good at communication and tried hard to accommodate us. I do NOT recommend this rental if you need a functioning kitchen and again privacy can be an issue because of the open staircase going upstairs.

Retirement Celebration for Mom

My husband and children planned a family getaway to the Waterton Park area to celebrate my retirement from a 35 year teaching career. Rustic Ranch was the perfect find for our family of 6 and puppy. You can imagine our disappointment when we didn't receive information on the exact location of this rural property and how to access the house. On our day of check in we were told by VRBO to proceed to the vicinity of the property (a 5 hour drive from our home) in hopes that we would hear from the host prior to our 4pm check in time. The host did not connect with us so we were left stranded. Not the weekend we had anticipated and looked forward to. VRBO provided us a budget with which to find accommodations for the 2 nights of our booking and we are expecting to be fully reimbursed for these additional costs as well as the amount we paid in advance for Rustic Ranch. NOTE: VRBO hoped the host would connect with us by 4:00 on the second day so we were only able to book subsequent accommodations day-day. This consumed a lot of our time and was very stressful. We did receive a call from the host as we were returning home after the weekend and she said she had been in the mountains and out of cell range for the last 5 days so was unable to communicate with us. Regardless of her excuse, she did not provide us with the information we needed to check in to her property. We are very disappointed customers and caution potential guests from booking with this host.

I am so sorry for your experience and I apologize again! I know and understand your frustration and feel horrible about your unpleasant/disappointing experience and situation. And for that I am sorry again. I did send a FULL refund immediately and offer a free week stay because of the situation. It was not intentional and a rare circumstance, but I take full responsibility for the mishap. I was stranded in an emergency situation 200miles in the mountains off grid with no cell service or civilized connection the world for over one week. I had to wait for an airplane to get weather clearance to come and rescue me. There was absolutely nothing I could do to communicate or send Stan the information that he needed for their stay. Again, I am very sorry for your experience. But please know this was a very unforeseen circumstances.
