Find Zen in Culburra Beach, on a peninsula surrounded by a river, lake, ocean and national park. This beautiful, near-new, two bedroom townhouse is close to the finest beaches on the South Coast. The location is near shops, walking and cycling paths. The patrolled surf beach is approximately ten minutes walk. The townhouse is quiet, peaceful and comfortable. The perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy everything the Shoalhaven has to offer. Your furry family members are welcome too.

Peter was welcoming, provided clear information, and shared contact details should we need him. The townhouse was lovely and very well equipped with cooking equipment, pantry items, linen, and toiletries — it had everything we needed, including thoughtful provisions for our fur kids.The location was fantastic, with the beach an easy and enjoyable walk away.The downstairs living area stayed nice and cool during the hot weather, and overall the townhouse was comfortable and well set up. The mattress was a little soft for our personal needs due to existing back issues, though it would likely suit most guests.Overall, we enjoyed our stay in a great location.

A cosy winter break

The apartment was perfect for a winter family get-away. The home was clean and well appointed. The location was perfect and we saw whales, wallabies, birds and foxes. Upstairs catches the sun and keeps the apartment warm all tjtough the winter evenings.

Very comfortable spot to stay while catching up with that family member who thought he had moved just far enough away from his loving parents. Thanks Peter for being flexible with the dates and allowing little Bella dog to join us. (PS - sorry we forgot to empty the bin.)

Nice quiet Getaway with the family

The Place

My stay here has been a delight from the moment I stepped through the front door. Clean and quiet, a bottle of wine waiting to be opened, a comfortable bed and a deep bathtub. The small courtyard was just the right size for my small dog, and then there is the lake and the beach to explore. Woolworths only five minutes drive away and an abundance of places to eat nearby. Peter is a fantastic host. A great place to relax and enjoy Culburra and surrounds.

We had a wonderful stay. The property had everything we needed for a comfortable week long summer get away, in fact it was better equipped than our own home (the beach umbrella was a lifesaver). Peter was responsive and lovely to deal with.

Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend in Culbuura Beach and in particular the accommodation which was excellent. Very well equipped with nothing overlooked including catering for our dogs. Highly recommended.

Modern, well-appointed townhouse in quiet location.

Excellent standards of cleanliness, maintainance and furnishings. Very comfortable and quiet location within an easy 15 minute walk to beach. Pet friendly. Undercover parking. Enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine. Would stay again.

Peaceful Haven and Retreat

Lovely, pet friendly home with an inviting courtyard in excellent condition at a beautiful, relaxing location. Well set up with extensive kitchen supplies and entertainment options for families - books, board games. Large bath was an added bonus - enjoyed daily after exploring the surrounding area! Excellent, timely communication with Peter, the Host and access a breeze. Highly recommended and keen to already book our return stay!

Beautiful

I stayed at the Place for 4 nights with my dog. The townhouse was beautiful & had everything you needed. It’s a few minutes drive to Culburra Beach (as my dog is elderly) & a walk up the street to the lake (no dogs). I plan to come back.

Home away from home

Our accommodation was exceptional. It was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Peter is a perfect host. He offered us an early check in and late check out. He also provided a bottle of wine, which was much appreciated. We love the Shoalhaven area and would not hesitate to stay at Peter's townhouse again.

The Place

I loved staying here. “The Place” was a perfect fit for my son and I, and a small dog.The house itself is very clean, well provisioned, the two bedrooms are a good size. Downstairs a spacious, light and comfortable living area. There is a lovely bathroom upstairs with the bedrooms as well as a toilet in the laundry downstairs. The second bedroom is set up as a kids bedroom with games and books, but a double bed along with kids bunks meant my adult son was a comfortable visitor for a week. Both bedrooms have views of trees and if you open the window at night you can sometimes hear the ocean and be woken by birdsong in the morning.Situated in a quiet part of the town, with some bush on two sides of the property, it is common to see kookaburras, king parrots and rainbow lorikeets and even a whipbird. The courtyard is enclosed and private, a good size for my small dog to get outside but be safely contained. The ocean and lake are only five minutes comfortable walk as well as a kids park. A small Woolworths is five minutes drive and there are many options for meals in the town and surrounding area. Peter was a fantastic host. Never far from the phone and any help I required. I would happily return and highly recommend “The Place” at Culburra Beach for your next holiday.

Beautiful home !!

My dog Budi and I stayed here recently and I must say I was VERY impressed with the property. I could not have asked for a cleaner more well equipped property. I travel quite a lot and I must say this property topped my list for being so clean and well stocked and equipped. I loved the bath and the peaceful little back patio space. very zen... The lounge is super comfy and the TV nice and big, the bed was also very comfortable and quality linen I slept super well. The price was very reasonable and in fact I feel as though it would be worth more given the quality and standard of the property. I loved it was so dog friendly and there was no surcharge for my fur kiddo which I really appreciated. Communication with Steve was quick and he gave me a later check out with no extra charges either which was really lovely of him. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful space with us!! I have you as one of my new fav places to stay :)

I love the Shoalhaven region. It has so much to offer. Culburra Beach is a beautiful and special part of the area. I am very happy to be able to share The Place with others. I love how quiet and peaceful it is. I want others to be able to enjoy, unwind and recharge in this pristine part of the South Coast. The word Culburra is an Aboriginal word meaning "sand" and whilst you will certainly want to spend time on the 3.7 km of golden beaches, I invite you to explore further and appreciate the special flora and fauna unique to this area.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Culburra Beach is flanked by the Crookhaven River to the north, Curleys Bay to the west and Wollumboola Lake to the south. It is located in Jerrinja Wandi Wandian Country. Lake Wollumboola has special significance for the Jerrinja people and is a coastal lake that intermittently opens to the ocean. It is a haven for thousands of migratory and local birds and endangered species. At night, you can sometimes hear the waves lapping on the shore of this lake.

Culburra Beach is perfect for exploring by foot. At Crookhaven Heads, where the Shoalhaven River meets the sea, follow a walking trail to see the historic lighthouse. Explore the sparkling blue waterways by paddle board, boat or kayak. Culburra and Warrain Beaches are popular surfing spots. I recommend cycling the area too. Many artists have made the coast their home and their work reflects the inspiration they take from it.
