Apple Valley Retreat is perfectly located in the stunning Huon Valley. If you are looking for peace and quiet and only 30 minutes from Hobart and an excellent base to explore Hobart and the Huon valley region, come and stay at Apple Valley Retreat.

Apple Valley Retreat is a house that offers all the comfort of a modern home in a relaxed setting surrounded by nature.

The spacious master bedroom (queen bed) comes with an ensuite and walk in wardrobe and cosy electric blankets perfect for the winter.

The other bedrooms located at the other end of the house come with queen bed and 2 single beds (extra mattress available on request to make capacity 7). These two bedrooms share a large bathroom. All the bedrooms have plenty of storage space and electric blankets too.

The separate laundry is fully equipped with a washing machine and dryer.

The main living area combines a large modern fully equipped kitchen, a spacious dining area and lounge area opening onto the deck where you will find the 4 burner BBQ and the outdoor dining area, the perfect space to take in the great views of native bushland and enjoy the beautiful fresh air.

There is also NETFLIX, STAN, PRIME VIDEO and Disney+ available for the whole family to enjoy.

If you have to leave the serenity of Apple Valley Retreat of which you will have exclusive use the Huon Valley and surrounds has so much to offer - wineries, cider, mountains, adventures and so much more. You will leave refreshed!

Although it was only a short stay we found everything about Tasmania wonderful. The property itself enhanced this with its position and outlook. The children were fascinated by the daily appearance by the resident Wallabies and other wildlife.

Peaceful & close to nature

Apple Valley retreat was fantastic! Everything we needed was there. The property is clean, well kept and with visits from wildlife during dawn and dusk. The croissants, plum jam and fresh eggs were yummy!

Lovely property to stay at. Secluded and has everything that you need. Comfy beds, clean and easy to find. Communication and directions were easy to read and follow. Lovely host. Recommended. If driving at night, take it easy as there is so much wildlife!

Away from it all!

Thoughtfully appointed with everything we could’ve wished for and more. Beautiful, peaceful place - bird life, wildlife and starry skies. A perfect stay, in a truly lovely place. Croissants and farm eggs were a generous touch! We loved it there.

Amazingly tranquil retreat

As advertised, the house is immaculate and thoughtfully stocked with helpful pantry items. The bedrooms were comfortable and our group enjoyed both movies on the couch and watching nature from the back deck. Don't let the windy roads scare you off - the property is well worth the drive in and was a perfect base for our adventuring trip.

Cosy, private, bush retreat

Due to plans changing at the last minute we required some accommodation and we're so glad we found this gorgeous place. It was delightfully quiet, warm, and well-stocked with essentials - including fresh farm eggs, berry jam, and croissants! Only a short 20 minute drive from Huonville where we had a great pub meal, and then around 30 minutes back to Hobart the other way. Very close to some great hikes as well!

Great spot in the bush

Was a great place for us to stay with our adult family and their children. Toys were a big win as were the pademelons at the door each day. Saw 4 quoll on the road which was exciting as have never seen quoll in the wild before. The children were also ver excited with the pond tadpoles and frogs. Only negative was the 11km winding dirt road we had to traverse to get to Cygnet which we weren’t expecting! Overall a great stay.

Very peaceful stay

We were visiting family who live 15 minutes from the property. It was such a great space to come back to at the end of a busy day. Plenty of room for the 4 of us and everything we could need was there (washer/dryer/detergent/staples in the kitchen etc). It was also lovely being able to sit and watch the pademelons that come to visit (one even came right up to the back door!). The property is a bit of a drive from local towns etc. but it was worth the trip and we’d definitely stay again. Thanks for all the little touches!

A Great House in Pelverata

This is a wonderful family house, very spacious and overlooking the bush on a a few acres of land. The bedrooms are comfortable, there are two bathrooms and the kitchen is very modern, very well equipped and enough space for more than one person to organize a meal. There is a large, relaxing deck overlooking the garden/bush area. It’s very private and peaceful. A very modern laundry with excellent facilities and a clothes line outside was very useful. The hostess was very nice, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. All in all a very memorable experience especially for Christmas.
