Condo not as billed

realize the unit I rented was a condo, however for a luxury rental it left a lot to be desired. I have rented many VRBO homes and condos in the past but this one was by far the most disappointing. The pictures do not really convey the reality of the unit. Here is a list of the many issues. There was no reason to contact anyone as most if not all of these issues could be addressed quickly. I also have pictures of many of these issues. Freezer frozen over (picture attached) could not open drawers No ice cubes we had to buy ice Sofa needs replaced very saggy Dining table has only 3 very embattled chairsPatios has only 2 folding chairsMaster Shower moldyShampoo, and shower gel bottles placed on shower floor no dispenser in masterMany repairs needed including walls, molding and doors there are numerous dents, holes and scuffsCarpet in guest and master bedroom is filthy No luggage rack so I had to leave suitcases on the floorNo hangers in closetNo hair dryer in second bedroomNo drawers so we could unpack for our 4 day stayOnly living area seating for 3 people on the sofa another chair is neededStovetop cracked No wine glasses only 6 large and 2 small drink glasses
Moldy shower and no shelf the body wash and shampoo are on the floor
Dining table only had 3 very beaten up chairs

We have never complained about a place but this is not what we would call “luxury”

We were deeply disappointed with our stay with this Vrbo. While the page advertises the place as being able to sleep 6 people, there were only 4 pillows available for the two queen beds. There was no pillow for the sofa bed, only a thin top sheet and a blanket. When we called to ask for additional pillows and sheets, management told us that they “do not provide them” for the sofa bed even though the place says that it can sleep 6. When we pressed, they agreed to give us pillows and sheets, but that it would not be delivered until the next day. As a result, we had to book a separate hotel room for one night just so all of us had a place to sleep. While we appreciate that they did eventually provide it, it was too late as we had to incur the additional cost and hassle of a separate hotel room. Additionally, much of the furniture in the photos advertised do not match what is actually in the apartment. The carpet in the bedroom has stains, the couch looks old & dirty, there is only a very small kitchen table and three worn chairs, and there is nearly no decor in the entire place. The patio has no furniture apart from 3 folding chairs. In the kitchen, only the bare minimum was provided, as there was no salt/pepper, sugar, wine glasses, or paper towels. In total, the lack of amenities and customer service was uniquely worse than other airbnbs and Vrbos we have stayed at. While the location and parking access was decent, we are still disappointed with the overall experience.

Million dollar view

Perfect location for a stay in Downtown Toronto. Easy walk to Rogers Centre and CN Tower. Tons of restaurants and bars around. Convenience store across the street. The view is breathtaking. Be sure to open your blinds and appreciate the skyline. Would gladly stay here again

great location and comfortable stay

pros - great location - walk to downtown - reasonably clean and comfortable - clean beds, towels mattress is not bad - owner responds immediately - private parking in a very upscale neighborhood cons - sound of traffic in one bedroom at night - broken blinds, fused lights, cracked floors - for such an amazing location interior could have been tended better with more warmth and care

Family get away

The check process was easy, the location was great, and communication with management was easy. The condo could definitely use a deep clean. It was a nice layout and a perfect place to be for walking.

Location, Convenience & Security

We chose this listing based on location, access to on-site secured parking, and the convenience of access to 2 bedrooms/ 2 baths for our family. The listing checked those boxes. I think the word “luxury” is subjective- we had everything we needed to enjoy our trip. Communication for check-in/checkout was easy to follow and we had no difficulties with either.

Good Location. Clean. Photos are not this unit.

Pictures in this listing are NOT this rental. Location is good, though a bit west of what is shown on map. Nice view from the condo over a park, the Gardiner Expressway, harbour and Island Airport. Good restaurants in the area, and walkable to The Well, and entertainment district. Safe family area. Unit was very clean. Underground parking is provided for 1 car. Queen beds in bedrooms were comfortable. Advertised as sleeping 6, but only seating in living area for 3. Dining table is high top with backless stools. No balcony chairs, so not overly comfortable for more than 2 people. Window coverings are vertical blinds in need of repair. Window in second bedroom didn’t close and neighbourhood could be noisy at night. Enjoyed the location, but would not likely rebook if it was more than just 2 of us.

Not in Good Condition

Incredible location & view from unit, which is why it received a rating of “2.” However, the “luxury” unit was in terrible disrepair: - front door handle falls off - plugs in both bathrooms and some in bedrooms are not working - walls are very roughly “patched” but not painted - there are flooring gaps and carpet stains - floor boards are falling off - very old appliances - window in one of the bedrooms is broken (does not seal) - not clean on floors (hairs), grime around faucets, and black “grease marks” on light switches - the fan wiring was crossed for the bathrooms (one switch turned it on for the other) - multiple light switches did not work in the main room The contact (not an owner, but a management company with various representatives were sometimes responsive and sometimes not. They came in to add a curtain to the one bedroom’s glass sliding doors for privacy. When we also complained about electrical plugs not working and the door handle falling off they offered to come in again to bring extension chords. Our stay was only two days long. We did not want to stay in the condo for needed repairs to be done, or repeatedly permit access without us being there. The property also advertises “luxury” and is expensive. It is very dated, had low quality towels, and is in terrible condition. False advertising! We will not be staying here again, and warn others not to stay in this unit until serious maintenance has been completed.

This is a great place to stay. Wonderful views of the water, high rise buildings, and the dog park. (We love dogs.) The check in information was a bit like Mission Impossible but they were exactly right. Trust the system and it's easy!

We liked the place It was well located. We had two bathrooms and two bed rooms as reserved. It was not the pictures I saw in the web site Vbro. It was really in a good spot: restaurants, tourisme and airport: Bishop. 10-30 walks to everything. Kitchen: The was everything necessary. Missing: oil, salt and peper, and sugar Over all was pretty clean… We had a problem with the entrance/ code and elevator only one day out of 3. The condo needs a little wall paint refreshement. stain remover for the carpet. Bathroom: missing extra towels.

Not a Luxury Condo

Property is described as a luxury condo. The size, location and view were all as described. The furnishings, appliances and finishings are not considered luxury. The property needs a reno. Floors are chipped, bathroom fixtures need renos.

We found it very close to Rogers Stadium and walking was wonderful to get anywhere downtown. We would’ve liked to have no one. There was a Keurig machine as I would’ve brought some pods. We had to go across the street to Tim Hortons for coffee which was very handy regardless. Really enjoyed our stay there and we’ll come back again another time. Thank you.

Condo parfait pour la petite famille!

Nous avons adoré l’emplacement. Tous les attractions principales sont à +/- 10 minutes de marche. Le Tim Horton de l’autre côté de la rue est pratique et il y a une épicerie à 5 minutes de marche. Idéal pour une petite famille qui désire visiter Toronto. Je recommande cet endroit à 100%. Abordable et pratique! Nous étions 2 familles et c’était assez grand. Un matelas gonflable rentre grandement dans le salon avec le sofa lit.

Me and my friend stayed at this beautiful property for Caribana weekend. Perfectly located downtown, easy access to great food places and shopping. Host communication was great, will definitely stay at this location again when in Toronto.
